Re: Crimson Desert (PS5) - A Generational Open World Buried in Early Access Cruft

I've now got about 120 hours in the game and I can easily say that it's the game I've been fantasizing about ever since I was playing TMNT on the NES. If you've ever wanted to actually LIVE a fantasy novel, not just play it, then this is the game for you. It's hands down one of the most ambitious, shoot for the moon video games ever created. I've been utterly addicted, anticipating every moment I'm at work the joy of returning to my fantasy life when I get home. I haven't felt this excited about playing a video game since Skyrim first launched. All I can say is, "WOW!"

But would I recommend it? NO WAY! This game is not even close to being ready for prime time. Wait two or three years and maybe it will be close to being a functional game worth retail price. 👎

@rjejr I will be passing on the game for this reason. If I buy a game I want to play it at 9 AM, 10 AM at the latest. To not be available until 5 PM (where I live) is madness. It is very strange. I will be leaving a 0 review on Metacritic as soon as able and playing Turtles in Time that night instead.

Sorry, but I don't have the internet at home and only use it on my phone at coffee shops and retail stores. Not putting the game on the disc is a HUGE mistake as millions of people like me will have no way to play the game and therefore will have no reason to buy!

I can't help but laugh at any company that requires you to use the internet to use their products. They're leaving so much money on the table it's unreal. I just sit back and laugh and play Turtles on my NES and wait for the smart developers who put their games on the disc. 🤣🤣🤣

@Oram77 When I was a kid, gaming was awesome. We had games like Ninja Turtles on the NES, then later we had Turtles in Time on the SNES. But it wasn't just Turtles games, ALL the games used to be fun at that time.

But now nothing is fun. They forgot how to make games FUN and all we get is unfun trash like Concord and who even knows what else has been coming out?!
