Being day 1 I think is the worst part of this. If they were like okay here’s your game you have 4 clans to choose from and then 6 months later said “here’s your new DLC with 2 new clans!” This would probably work even at the same price but it’s wild to do this day 1.

Are they all running at 4K yet? I remember Disney+ hadn’t updated to a PS5 app for a few years and was just running the PS4 app on the PS5 and didn’t support 4K.

Okay so the title of this article made it sound like it was saying “The scientists who made the game Kill It With Fire grew brain cells that play Pong” I know what it means but I definitely clicked on the article thinking “the guys who made Kill It With Fire are actual scientists?”

Not gonna lie… this list makes me a little sad. 20 best couch multiplayer half of it is sports and racing and the other half is a lot of kind of meh games.

So this is actually the thought I had when Sony made the comment about Microsoft buying Activision. I feel as though Call of Duty isn’t the franchise it once was.

That year was great for me for PS4. Between God of War and Spider-Man I played so much.

I would really appreciate this. The motor on my PS3 disc drive broke while I was trying to play through the MGS series and I know MGS 4 is trapped on PS3.

@Weebleman thanks this totally worked. Went from 125gb to 22gb. Freed up 100gb just by pulling the plug.

I can’t find any info on what the actual trigger is for him cutting off his arm. One fight he did it at about 75% then on the final attempt I basically only beat him because he never cut off his arm. I don’t know if there was some interruption I was inadvertently doing but no strategy guide seems to have info on what the actual trigger is.

Mine’s over 100 GB and I have 0 PS4 games and no pending downloads. Womp womp….

Take your time devs! I was a little lukewarm on its original announcement but whenever it gets shown off again it piques my interest more and more.

Lining up with the release of a show, finally, makes sense but I can’t help but feel the character choice is cheap. Like the Avengers have a massive roster but we got girl Hawkeye then Hawkeye then we got Black Panther which was cool but the next character for everyone is girl Hulk. I’d just like to see more variety of play style. I have been thoroughly enjoying Spider-Man it kind of reinvigorated the game for me a bit because his play style is so different.

@PenguinL I haven’t gone deep into the social aspects of Discord I mainly use it as a tool for multiplayer, like an evolution of X-Fire or Ventrilo, and my friends have a server for chatting.

Only exciting if they give more maps. If it’s just one that’s kind of lame. That’s the biggest disappointment with the 7 Deadly Sins campaign you’re just retreading all the same maps.

Edit: 7 Deafly Sins would be a totally different experience lol.

I think it was the right call cuz depending on how it was implemented a fight that carried over the whole city could’ve been really annoying actually. Some games have done stuff like that and it ends up feeling like an intense fight broken up by what is essentially the pigeon collection side quest. Heck even in this game, the helicopter chase that they showcased in the gameplay videos with Mr Negative was super annoying to me.

@sonofsmallface that is interesting the article on here seemed like it was all 4 games. That being said I’ll take Symphony of the Night alone over MKX.

I’m pretty salty that Asia is getting that Castlevania collection.

I feel like it’s not as Pokemonish as this article is making it sound… it just kinda looked like an open world action game for kids. It looks awesome but I saw a lot of kids battling monsters with funky weapons and I’m down with that.

@Werewius they’re literally celebrating the fact that it’s a 10 year old game by re re releasing it…again.

I’ve never played a Tales game and maybe it’s par for the course but her voice acting in particular looks pretty godawful. I thought it was the whole thing at first but the other woman at the end didn’t sound quite so awful.
I don’t mean to only trash this, the reason I watched the video is cuz the character design looked cool as hell and I love me a shield wielding hero.

How can I show demand?

It’s crazy that the market for this is so lucrative that buying that many PS4s is a reasonable cost of business. But also probably the only way FOR it to be lucrative is to have so many accounts and things going.

@KundaliniRising333 ah okay. I was just confused. And I’m totally with your point that if there’s a better version of the game available elsewhere for the same price then there’s an imbalance.
I just thought the general reaction seemed a little harsh for something that seemed to be fairly normal for the generational gap. I feel like it’s still early in the cycle and most full PS5 games are kind of doing that trade off, although most of them are doing it through an option of 4K at 30frames or 1080p at 60 frames. But with this being a PS4 release I think it’s the whole back compat issue. Which like a lot of people are saying is a Sony thing not the devs.

@KundaliniRising333 what? The target frame rate was 60fps if you had it in performance mode. And if you had it in fidelity mode it was 30fps 4K res. Where are you getting the target frame rate for Miles Morales “not being that low”. It’s never claimed to be trying to be 120fps.

I don’t understand why this is a big deal… Spider-Man Miles Morales did this didn’t it? Or am I mis remembering the settings from launch? I thought the initial settings were 4K with Ray Tracing or it could be 60fps. And then later they added 60fps with Ray Tracing but it still wasn’t 4K. And that game IS a PS5 game (yes it’s cross release but the argument that’s getting brought up is that if this also had a PS5 release that would make it work)
Totally fine with FPS over resolution in a fast paced game tho.

I need olive green (not camo) so bad. I try to get it for every system. I ordered the PS4 one off eBay because it was an exclusive pack in with the Battlefield PS4 bundle.

My trouble with his statement is the same trouble I have with big grand collectors editions of new IPs. I know nothing about your game, it’s not an established IP, in this case it had a very generic sounding concept, I’m not buying it day one.

The fact that one of the devs said he thought the initial “release date” was a joke means this game was beyond rushed it was literally not even close to done.

@orson tough but fair. One could argue that Miles Morales IS DLC.

I don’t know why there was an expectation for these to be free. My only thought is some sort of MCU bundle would be nice.

Edit: I had only skimmed the article and upon re-reading now understand that wording 100% sounds like you get the skins from the Red Room missions.

I’m actually very surprised that PS2 isnt the number one answer currently. I personally chose PS3 because my disc drive on my PS3 is broken and I have a lot of games I can’t play. I was about halfway through MGS 3 when it happened I have still not played through the series and I’m super bummed about it.

As a fan of this Avengers game I’m just glad so many people are fired up about something related to it lol

@LiamCroft yeah this was my exact impression from this. After level 25 you’re only unlocking what I would describe as the “talent” skills anyway like just modifiers to your abilities that you should already have a handle on.

My two cents: I think it’s a good move because parts of the PC community can be VERY closed off and have the mindset of “I guess I’ll just never play Horizon: Zero Dawn” but now this gives them that possibility. I don’t think PC is 100% a competitor I think it’s a hybrid one part competitor but also one part somewhat of a walled garden.

Even if they play different, it still feels weird conceptually, especially in a game where one of its biggest criticisms is that the characters feel “same-y”.

Isn’t Gameloft the one who’s trying some dirty underhanded tactics to buy out Ubisoft? I might be wrong but I swear it was Gameloft.
Edit: it was Vivendi who purchased Gameloft and were trying to use it as a foothold to get control of Ubisoft.
On the note of their Spider-Man runner I really enjoyed and went to play a little while ago and the game is completely shut down. I think you can TECHNICALLY still play but there’s no support and with it being a free-to-play in app purchase driven mobile game having no support means it doesn’t work.

@Farmboy74 I’m pretty awful at trying to play fighting games but I think it’s got more to do with the skill gap of most players vs the ones who play online. But I think the single player is worth the time and it’s difficulty is adjustable I believe but also doable with at least a little bit of video game skill. The universe they built is very cool I think.
