60% being live service is not what I want to hear. Theoretically they could only have one single player a game per year which would be extremely disappointing.

Games can have aspects of multiple genres, surely we can agree on that? That’s all I’m saying when it comes things like GoW and Horizon, they have RPG aspects, they are not RPG games.

@NEStalgia Again, I said it has aspects of it. It’s in no way a full blown RPG. Lots of games have aspects of RPGs so they get called RPGs. Are they “traditional” RPGs, no. They have some of the DNA that goes into RPGs and thus get lumped in.

Based on previous conversations it feels like you’re a purist when it comes to this kind of thing so if it’s not checking all the boxes then it’s not a RPG. Which is fine, I just think there is more nuance to it. I don’t think FF7 on PS1 is living or breathing at all, no more than Horizon or GoW. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@NEStalgia It has character building, especially in the 2018 one where you started with very little. I think it has aspects of RPGs but I won’t be troubled if someone doesn’t want to view it as such.

And…I’d say the dementors and death eaters are more horror than the ghosts!

Makes a lot of sense to just call it FF Online instead of 14. In regards to the single player games, not sure why they are even consecutively numbered anyway since they don’t tie together.

I really hope if there is a new Astro game it’s not VR. Just give me a full length Astro game!

@grubsteak Full disclosure, I turned downed the difficulty after beating the story. Had I not, I’m sure that some of the bounties and legendary bosses would have taken me longer. Glad you enjoyed it!

@CRASH64 I did not go for the platinum in the first game. You have to collect all of one collectible which was painful because I struggled to find them on the map as it’s still not the greatest. That was by far the worst trophy, otherwise I don’t think it was that bad. For reference, it’s light years easier than aC Valhalla was.

@Ryne-Gaia Do they have a history of charging $40 for DLC? I feel like I paid $20 for each TW3 DLC and they were phenomenal and well with the money.

I had a handful of issues over the 33 hours it took to get the platinum including one crash. While they were annoying, the game is still fantastic and well worth playing.

I was sort of interested initially because it looked cool but was skeptical of the co-op. With this news there is now basically zero chance I touch it.

Kudos to everyone who got and like the Zelda game. I really wanted to like it but BoTW was just not for me.

While I agree that Sony makes/partners with a lot of big blockbuster movie like games, I would like to bring up Returnal, Sackboy, Astro’s Playroom, Stray, Tchia as recent examples where that wasn’t the case.

I don’t see how losing it on Sony for a possible (likely?) scenario has any benefits besides just screaming into the air?

I will play this for sure at some point. Too much to play right now and not keen on $70 for it.

I actually thought last years show was pretty decent so I’ll tune in once again to get my “E3” fix.

Unless I’m remembering wrong, it had 3 or 4 buttons that all jumped….

@koffing It depends on what all you’re doing in TW3, I recently replayed it and just focused on story, was around 23 hours. When I first played it and did everything but Gwent I was around 55-60 hours.

@tatarimokke I did look at Amazon this morning for comparison and Forspoken is $43. GameStop has it used for $40, so not really saving much at all for physical compared to this.

At some point I’ll buy Forspoken but not for $50. Wish they just had the game itself on sale.

Sony doesn’t “hate” indie games. That’s a false narrative. What Sony does not want to do is invest their studios into making small games. They will partner with smaller studios though.

I’ve had one bug where I had to reload a save because I couldn’t progress a puzzle. I do see some frame rate drops now and then. Could it be better? Absolutely. It hasn’t stopped me from loving the game so far (5 hours).

While not even close to MS rewards in what you get back, I’ve still managed 3,150 points so far so better than nothing.

Would be nice to get a slight discount for higher dollar value cards. 1250 for $5 and 5000 for $20 does not incentivize buying a $20 card.

@grapetrap I hated the ship battles in black flag about as much as anything ever in a video game. I know people liked it but man was that bad for me. Lol.

@Nepp67 Only reason I’ve been playing AC is because they got away from the stealth heavy games. It’s not a bad thing for everyone.

Played about an hour when it came out and the game just wasn’t for me. Glad others are enjoying it.

@Darude84 I figured it was to drum up more sales prior to SM2 launch but this probably explains it.

I’m most of the way through this and haven’t come across too many issues. I’ve seen some pop in a few times but that’s about it.

Overall I like this much better than the base game story.

You have to think review codes not going out isn’t a good thing for the game. I can’t imagine why you’d do that unless you’re not confident in the product.

The hate for this game confuses me. The story is very good. The 30fps is really the only issue I had as it caused things to feel a little clunky at times. Combat is a touch slower than Arkham games so if people want to gripe about that I can see that.

@daleaf it does start a little slow, it by case 3-4 you’re not into it then probably just not the game for you.

It seems like PS+ is the best value if you don’t play things upon release. To me the more games you play early on the less you need PS+. I’ll likely go down to essential when my extra runs out. I’ve only played one game in 6 months on extra.

Outriders was more or less fine but not on par with Sony exclusive quality…

I really wanted to like this game but the demo confirmed my fears and it’s a pass for me.

@TheCollector316 Totally understandable. I quit and tried it again co-op and found it harder but managed to beat it solo after coming back to it. It’s a very unforgiving rogue like.

@TheCollector316 I actually thought the game was harder with a partner. I tried to play some with a friend and they definitely add more health to enemies/bosses. Additionally, upon revival you lose all your power ups unless they changed that?
