Hey maybe I will beat this game with a friend now. I quit in the third level by myself.

It’s a large game so not super surprising that it’s not finished by a lot yet. It’s probably a 7.5-8 overall from me. The platforming is really bad. Aloy seems annoying in this game, a bit arrogant even. The first 8-10 hours are insanely slow. I’ve also had four quests that broke and I had to restart.

Can’t wait to hear Square say this game “didn’t meet expectations” like they do with every other game they’re involved with.

@danlk1ng I’ve seen people comment with top of the line graphics cards that it goes under 20fps on boss fights and makes it unplayable. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@PegasusActual93 I’ve seen multiple previews for Licorice Pizza and it looked like absolute trash to me so throw me in the camp of “it does not look appealing”.

@Medic_Alert I just don’t get it. From what I’ve read the game is borderline unplayable on PC and it has a 95 there from critics. It’s like they hyped this game up so much they’re afraid like you said to say “this game has major issues”. Critics destroyed Cyberpunk, Days Gone, etc for performance issues but FromSoftware gets the Nintendo treatment and people pretend like it doesn’t matter if a game has issues.

I’m only 8 hours in so far so my view could change by the end.

So far the story has been very lacking. I felt that it had fake urgency to it from the very start. Aloy feels very annoying at times when she talks.

The platforming is super painful. There was one story mission, “Deaths Door” that made me want to throw my controller.

Beyond the story and platforming, it feels like the first one did to me. I’d probably give this a 7.5 for what I’ve played so far.

@lolwhatno That’s great if people we having fun with the game. That doesn’t explain throwing out performance issues to give it a 10/10. I had lots of fun with Cyberpunk and it had performance issues, so should I give it a 10/10?

I’m a little confused as to how a game that is this bad when it comes to performance is sitting at a 97 on metacritic.

Can someone explain to me why these glaring issues are just pushed under the rug?

@theheadofabroom The platinum was a real pain because the collectibles required a second playthrough if you missed them, my only real complaint with the game and if someone doesn’t care about trophies then they were good to go.

This company has to be so painful to work for. Game reviews great and sells I would objectively well but SE has stupid expectations and says it didn’t make the cut.

Have they actually said any game has met their expectations???

Movie critics are garbage. They are wrong more then they are right.

I enjoyed it. Felt like an Uncharted plot, with some solid action pieces. The credits scene make me interested in a second one for sure.

I’ve got 113 hours into the base game and both DLC. I initially was excited about this but I feel burned out regarding AC. It doesn’t help my views on it with the brain dead comments from their management on NFTs either.

@nessisonett Asgard and Jotunhein were truly horrible to traverse and collect stuff, couldn’t agree more.

@ShogunRok I totally agree. It just seems odd to me that you’d have the same amount of trophies for a game that’s 5-7X bigger, no?

9 trophies is pretty much what the other two DLC had also. However, those two were like 6-9 hours long. I question how long this DLC is if they have the same number of trophies. I know they said 35 hours but this seems to be unlikely now in my opinion.

I never ever keep games so it’s been great for me. I’m excited to see what Sony offers in that same vein.

@RevGaming Personally I get insane value out of GamePass. I pay $0 for it because I use MS rewards program.

I played 10-15 games on it in the last year including three large AAA games, I’d say four but I don’t think Psychonauts 2 is technically AAA. Even I had paid the $180 for the year with zero discounts I easily got my monies worth.

I think it all just comes down to two things, do you really wanna? Do you really wanna taste it? Peacemaker reference aside, do you like the games GP and do you not care about having them sit on a shelf when done it trade them in. If you don’t care about trading or keeping it’s great value.

@nomither6 That’s fine, people like different styles of shooting. I’m guessing you’re a CoD fan while I can’t enjoy them at all, probably the big difference. Granted I’ve only played 2 or 3 of them. I’m also a Halo fan. I’ve loved the shooting in every Bungie game they’ve made.

Clearly with a SoP they wanted to see more than just GT7. Everyone is excited about the potential revamp of + and Now, they likely wanted to see that. People are excited for games they are interested in, which in this case isn’t GT7. They want to see if there is any response to MS acquisition. Etc.

I understand you like to snipe at people who have the opposite opinion of you though.

@Milktastrophe I don’t think I’d be able to earn enough points unfortunately. I can earn about 180K points a year, of which 140K covers a year of GamePass.

That 40K leftover is worth like $20 at Walmart. So it’s close but not quite enough. 😕

@TheCollector316 It can cost more. I pay $0 for GamePass because I take advantage of MS rewards. I cannot get PS+ for $0.

This is good news. I was concerned from some of the comments we’ve see that it would be a lot bigger. I felt the first game felt just about perfect in length.

@rumple1980 I did that for awhile. I never played for free though. Games drop in value so quick for trade in that you must be pulling some crazy magic tricks to make money on it. I’m impressed.

I’ve always been puzzled by this mindset. What makes you refuse to buy a game digitally?
