Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Extra, Premium Games for January 2023?

I'd be happier if Sayonara Wild Hearts was included, but even without it there's like 5 or 6 new games I want to play still. So yeah, it is a good month for me.

There is nothing terribly exciting for me this month on extra. But I still think it is a pretty good selection.

As for premium, I guess it isn't the worst month we have seen but that doesn't make it good.

Sadly, I continue to think the free demos are the best part of premium.

Have that many people not played dmc5??? Crazy

It seems like PS+ is the best value if you don’t play things upon release. To me the more games you play early on the less you need PS+. I’ll likely go down to essential when my extra runs out. I’ve only played one game in 6 months on extra.

This is one of those times I wish there was a poll option that was like "Decent selection, but I own/played most of them already".

In a vacuum I'd be quite happy with Devil May Cry, Back 4 Blood and Life is Strange, but yeah, own/played all of them before. Even if Sayonora Wild Hearts was on here I've played that too

I guess I am most interested in DMC5SE since I played the PS4 version previously. Does anyone know if you can transfer your PS4 save to SE?

@FatalBubbles I think that is a pretty fair comment.

Since I started not buying games on release, my gaming spend has dropped dramatically based on how the game market works for most publishers these days. As a result, I also don't get sucked into the new game hype and it saves me from buying some games altogether.

PS+ Extra is a great way for me to play those games that would otherwise be on the bubble for me. However, if I bought all the games I was interested in when they first came out, I probably wouldn't have much to play on the service.

Premium is decent but they do need to add more games each month, also where TF are PS2 games that were promised?
Let's hope that classics are added each month instead of a select month or two here and there.

@evan23 hope this new business model will be sustainable cause its obviously a good deal for us gamers but for developers i don't know

@jimbouk This is just a rumor, but it would make sense. They are supposedly working on a new PS2 emulator to push out soon, due to the old one having serious security and varying technical issues on PS5.

Long as they add trophies to the classics three a month is plenty for me. As for the Extra games they are okay. I would try DMC5, but I've made the decision not to do anymore AAA games from Extra. It's not worth the time investment compared to the yearly cost.

Sometimes I think Sony reads my mind... I said here sometime ago that I was waiting for a good price deal on Devil May Cry 5 SE, and they will give it this month!! Already clearing some games to play it, the only DMC I never played. Draon Ball Fight Z is a great add too!!

Played Life is Strange and Before the Storm, already have Erica from PS Plus some time back and only other game that kind of appeals to.me this month is Omno, so could be better for me personally

Was hoping the "remastered" LiS would have been added too. Getting trophies on those would have been an excuse to replay

Nothing that interests me at all. At least with the previous few months, there were games that I already owned or played that I thought were good, but nothing on this list has ever interested me in the least.

The game I'd recommend to people is Omno, gem of a game. It's an open level exploration/collectathon where you interact with many awesome cool and cute animals. The game has lovely art and has several puzzles on the easy side, has an easy platinum and takes about 5'ish hours to complete, don't skip out on this game 😊

I finally got a PS5 after being off PlayStation for about 3/4 years... I have so much to catch up on so I got premium although I did believe I was getting a 7 day trial first but obviously not! Anyway It's not bad value to say I just payed £400 for a PS5 and I have no games other than the odd ones I bought on my PS4 about 4 years ago... But I reckon I'll be getting extra/ premium until I'm fully caught up on all the exclusives that's on there and eventually drop down to standard PS plus...

I've either played them already or they're not of interest to me. Not a good month to say the least.

The Armored Core games of PS1 and PS2 are a missed opportunity with the announcement of AC6 by From.

The only ones I’ll try are DMC & Syphon Filter 3 (when I get around to beating the 2nd). Already beat the two LIS games. Not the greatest month for me personally

@Kyevo8814 at this point I've played it so many times from my ex's copy and on pc on all the difficulties so it would be fun out of boredom to do another playthrough, i want to be able to playthrough the Vergil DLC as previously i only had ps4 version so this is a bonus to play PS5 copy now

@AndyKazama yeah it would be pointless downloading these versions, i've already platinum all of them, the remastered versions would have at least been worth it

I’d love to see the return of some classic sports games from PS2/PS3 era, like NCAA Football 2003, NFL 2K5, NBA Hoopz, NFL Blitz 2003, Blitz: The League, MLB Slugfest 2006, NHL Hitz Pro, Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec, World Soccer Winning Eleven 7 International, SSX Tricky…stuff like this!

@huyi iv only had ps4 version aswell and never played the virgil section i do hope they make number 6

A good selection of games I’ve already played long time ago. So nah, not very happy.

I already own most of these from times when they were on sale/ps plus monthly/ or just bought them in general. It's a decent selection with Devil May Cry and Life is Strange for me. Just cause is not bad, back 4 blood is just ok, I bought that too but think I've played it twice.
It would be nice to see more PS2 games or at least some PS1 games like Tekken 3 or Spyro/Crash. Since they were PS1 exclusives they may as well release them, they had them on PS3 store and Vita.
