Re: TV Show Review: The Last of Us (HBO) Episode 8 - Streamlining Hollows Out Iconic Moments

Bella has really grown into this role over the series, very well acted. Someone is going to be nominated for a few awards after this. On the show itself, I'm very much enjoying it, but a few details were skipped which was a shame, but I understand why they would have been. But I do agree with comments on here, it is a little rushed and really this episode could have been split into two easily, the whole zombie scene would have been ace, but this skipped it.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Octopath Traveler 2?

Eventually on sale and for the switch. I just feel this game is a perfect portable game. Very much enjoyed the demo!

FYI, for those stating they should play the first one... It's not a sequel. And this is supposed to improve on the first in notable ways, so it's probably recommended to just go straight to this.

Re: Reaction: Sony Continues to Fumble the State of Play Format

I think since the days of E3, Sony hasn't really had or done something where you come away thinking "wow I really need a PS5" but then Xbox generally is the same. We know games are coming, but there hasn't yet to be anything shown for the games that makes you want to invest. I think they need to look back and take some inspiration from past performances and look to try and capture those feelings that you want people to have. It's really important that those PS4 players are shifting over to PS5 and not joining gamepass, but they actually need games (first and third) to encourage them. Look at Nintendo. Their last direct was fantastic, people were hyped for Metroid and Zelda.

Re: Rumour: Konami to Go Big with Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, New Castlevania in Coming Months

EquiinoxGII

How would I feel about a MSG3 remake? Like most, very pleased.. haha! But I would also love an old castlevania, re-resed with lovely smooth silky graphics (and content) maybe symphony of the night.. now that would be lovely. And a good way to test the water for sales too, if that worked out they could invest in a full new game with the same approach. I suppose the same way they could deal with MGS. Release one of the most popular games and see what the take is.

Re: Final Fantasy 7 Remake Producer Says Narrative Changes 'Necessary' to Keep Players Interested

EquiinoxGII

@nhSnork exactly, I love the original for multiple reasons, but I also throughly enjoyed the remake for other reasons. It made it different enough for me so it didn't feel exactly the same as the original story. Some people just find it difficult to accept. We get so many remakes (like deadspace, TLOU) and they are just the same game with a gloss, and while that's great if that's what you want, I actually enjoyed this approach.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy the Dead Space PS5 Remake?

EquiinoxGII

Said before in another post, but while I love the original, I know it's right to just wait until it reduces in price. Remakes are never worth full price, even recently, I managed to get LOUP1 for £30, (which I was happy with) and while I enjoyed the game, it still wasn't worth the price. So same applies here really.

Re: Preview: Forspoken on PS5 Feels Like a Weird Tech Demo

EquiinoxGII

Tbh, I'd pencil this game as one of those that I will try in the future when I can get it cheap enough. Some enjoyment can be dictated on how much you spend on the game (as it's always in the back of your mind) if it's a 6/10 and I've only paid £20 for it and enjoyed it to a degree, I don't mind. Similar thing happened with GW Tokyo

Re: Where to Watch The Last of Us TV Show

EquiinoxGII

@Palleon that's a tough one. The show will be following the same story but expanding on certain things. Also some story elements have also changed. (Like how infection spreads) i don't think it will matter too much if I'm honest. I genuinely think the game will be better irregardless.

Re: Poll: Have You Completed Elden Ring?

EquiinoxGII

Haven't played it and been on the fence. I love the demon souls remake and that was my first, but I'm not overly enthused with the art direction of Elden ring and Bloodborne e.c.t so it kind of puts me off.

Re: Game of the Year: #9 - The Last of Us: Part I

EquiinoxGII

Actually playing through this at the moment after getting it at a decent price, for me, I haven't played this for quite a while and I forgot quite a lot of what happens in the story. I still wouldn't say it's the best game I've ever played and I'm definitely in the minority when I say I prefer part 2, but.. it's such a nice way to play the game and it's definitely worth playing it on the ps5 if you ever find it at a reasonable cost. It's less janky compared to the original and it's buttery smooth. I was found the original to be a little clumsy.
