I'm not worried about the PS5 games tbh, but Microsoft have definitely helped me in making my mind up about finally investing on a series X. sold my one x last year and have been patiently waiting on a return.
tbh the game runs pretty well on PS5 in its current state, played it recently and I thought it was fantastic - shame about the release, as if it came out in it's current state I think more people would be getting this no problem.
was waiting to try the demo before pre-ordering (burnt too many times) I played the demo for 10mins and I've made my mind up. EASY buy this one, I honestly think this will be rated the best original FF since 10. not that the bar has been set high since. but still.. long time coming
I'm calling it now.. (firstly I'm never fond with Ubisoft's games) but I have a huge feeling they are going to smash it out of the park today. expect praise after this.
I think the ubi showcase could actually be pretty decent tomorrow! Haven't said that for a long while. This, Avatar, back to a classic Assassin's creed. And who knows, we might finally get a splinter cell deepdive.
Love remedy games, always underrated! Never received the recognition it truly deserves as a dev. I think this could be the one, that makes them "News" control was fantastic, but slipped past alot of people, hopefully they add some more connections in to existing properties! With Max penciled in for a remake, probably a good chance we see something that hints to another connection.
In other new Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the sequel to remake. These guys are definitely laughing when they send these updates out. Next they will saying cloud will be in the game. Haha
Very strange updates. Do they think we as FF7 fans have never played FF7 before. Of course new comrades will be here and playable. Theres another 4 that havent joined the group yet (by original story standards) and Red will be playable this time too. So 5.
Yeah I've been playing the closed beta, obviously I am under NDA, but it's good. I like it! Never played the first but it's very much like Horizon for sure, just bigger.
Bigger? That's a joke. Not enough. I want to be able to fly across the world. Terrible Devs.
No seriously, good progression. I still think there could be some surprises, like a few hidden locations that you potentially visit, but it's nice to see some expansion outside of Manhattan.
Let's not forget this is still a streaming device, if you have terrible WiFi, this will still suck. Haha. I still think they should have done this in a different way. Even have something that can play downloaded games, basically a diskless console. Steam deck has already proven games can run on a small system.
Tbh I probably wouldnt revisit these games unless it's a different experience, if they do a switch release (unlikely) I'll definitely buy them to play on the go. But I've gone through them plenty enough otherwise.
@themightyant I think it helps it more when it's on a screen like the switch, while I'm ok with it on my big TV, I do seem to play handheld more, which definitely helps. But yeah, I don't think graphics are everything and this just proves it.
Tbh I've been smashing through Zelda, and that quite literally shows me graphics doesn't matter. Because that game is a don. Still looks good, but the gameplay is king.
I think Sony are going to get a huge shock when some of these games fail very hard. Out of all these games they have announced, I bet 1 maybe 2 manage to get some fanbase. Out of all of those yesterday, Marathon is probably one of the only ones I can see some traction. And that's based on Bungies quality.
Why do some Devs just want to ram multiplater down your throat until you gag. Marathon was something that started Halo, why wouldnt you want to create something like the original. Such a missed opportunity.
I thought it was okay! AW2 looks real good. Spiderman 2 looks real good, and Bungie are going back to Marathon which is very interesting. Overall could have been better, but also much worse.
@theMEGAniggle well you just made me look silly. Haha! Tbh I didn't even see some of those as live service games. But I suppose you are right. Even FIFA has live service elements. My point being as long as it's done right by Sony, it could be successful
I have faith, as people have stated. Now the acti blizz deal seems to be going ahead strongly, PS will definitely show a few cards. I couldn't say as to what they will be, but I would guess MGS is definitely real and it's just a matter of time before we see the game, and that alone (if exclusive) is a big hitter.
I absolutely hate live service games, but I am going on past experiences which usually result in awful experiences. Let's face it, the only live service game to have experienced any kind of success is Destiny. Who we bought. I'm hoping Sony are going to be like Apple in this instance, join that live service party late and reinvent the wheel and create a SP game with live service elements. (That is actually good) imagine a live service game like Uncharted, where over time you can pay to unlock adventures (new storylines, new islands and locations) but host a proper developed story.
Who knows. Aslong it's real that's all I care about. And technically it would make sense. More sales give us a better chance of getting the others. And it's logical to release 3 first, considering it's the original starting point in the timeline.
I think in general Final fantasy games have always thrown you in the deep end and you have no clue to what's even going on. FF7 for example starts with you hitting the mako reactor, I had no clue as to what was going on. Haha. So I'm cool with that! I love finding out as the game progresses.
My wife calls my playstation an Xbox and my switch a DS. So yes, stranger things could be said. Haha, tbh it wouldn't shock me if Kojima did send her a PS3 with MGS4 pre installed. Haha
Yeah I got my switch a few months back in a silly Tesco deal. I think I paid about £100, great buy tbh. BOTW was good, but I didn't really max my playthrough as I knew this was coming. Boy is this good, "more of the same" but it's BOTW on drugs. Haha, some of these new features are very impressive. I'm expecting a GOTY for this one.
@MightyDemon82 my tip to you, just play through the main story, otherwise when getting to tears, you'll be playing something very similar. That's exactly what I did a few months back.
I still think the game will move away from new York for some of it. Or maybe an alternate version of the city. With their previous Ratchet and the way you shifted to multiple locations, Im still sold of them using that tech to do a miles morales and offer a varient of different locations. That should offer some variety against the last two Spidey games and give us all a fresh game. No one wants the same new York again and I'm pretty sure they will create something unique.
Good 8 from me, definitely not as good as FO but that's a personal opinion. I think thats mostly due to the story, while I appreciate delving into different areas of the universe, I definitely preferred the story of the empires inquisitiors.
While this sort of thing is generally great for the average consumer, I think gaming is mostly aimed at "gamers" that's where most of the money is made. Gamers buy lots of games, and they require us to buy them to make profits. While subscriptions is generally a great idea, games in general cost so much to make, eventually this is going to catch up and make it very hard to keep up with making a competitive game in this market. I think Netflix is a good representation of this, while you can get the odd great show, not every show is amazing and Netflix has noticed a decline in subscriptions during certain points. For me, I usually only keep one sub running when I know there is something I actually want to watch. I used to do the same with Gamepass. But games cost so much more to develop than a TV show. So yes. Agreed. For this industry to survive correctly, we need high quality games, that we are actually willing to part cash with.
Couldn't agree more, and while it's not turnbased like my favourites, 13 and 15 were absolute dog. But this genuinely looks to have potential and I just hope it succeeds. We are never getting turnbased again, so we may aswel accept that, but if they can make a good game that's better than what they have produced since 10. I never played 12 so can't comment on that.
Said it many times and said it when it was first announced. The amount they charge for the booths and spaces, were talking a good 30-60k for a space area (blank floor) and probably good few 1000 for a small shell booth, I couldn't imagine these companies thinking it was a good idea... It's just not profitable when they can do an online showcase.
Dino "RAWR" Crisis. For the amount of people who have suggested it, they would be silly to not do it. They used the original Resi games to inspire it, why not do that again!?

Re: The Crew Motorfest Brings Forza Horizon Vibes to PS5, PS4 This September
Yeah played this a few weeks back and I immediately thought of Horizon. It's so similar! And that's absolutely not a bad thing.
Re: Poll: Was Ubisoft Forward 2023 Princely or Just Pants?
I think it was solid. Probably the best presentation so far, considering they all had actual live gameplay.
Re: Reaction: Solid Xbox Showcase Should Give Sony Some Incentive to Stop Being So Damn Cloak and Daggers About PS5, PS4
I'm not worried about the PS5 games tbh, but Microsoft have definitely helped me in making my mind up about finally investing on a series X. sold my one x last year and have been patiently waiting on a return.

No. I don't have any other comments. Haha

Re: Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty Priced at £25 / $30 on PS5
I actually really liked the main game (after all those patches) and it's £16.00 on Turkey PSN so I'll probably get it there once I see reviews

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Street Fighter 6?
Same as others, fighting games aren't for me. The only one I've actually enjoyed was the last Mortal Kombat.

@KundaliniRising333 maybe swap to another site mate. Hahaha! Jokes. Just had to make the comment.
Re: Bungie’s Marathon Trailer QR Code Leads to ARG with More Hidden Information
I just wish they would return to a single player story. I remember the days of Halo, such great games they created.

How funny! That would be hilarious if they added that into the game.
Re: Alan Wake 2 Thinks It'll Beat Spider-Man to PS5's Best Graphics of 2023 Crown
@themightyant haha yeah that's fair, I bought one of those switch cases which makes essentially handles for the joycons. Prior to that I was the same.
Re: Alan Wake 2 Thinks It'll Beat Spider-Man to PS5's Best Graphics of 2023 Crown

Re: Alan Wake 2 Is a Digital-Only Release, $60 on PS5
If anyone shops overseas, you can buy this for £15 on the turkey PSN store, or £21 for the Delux version.
Re: Alan Wake 2 Dated for 17th October on PS5
Digital only.. oh well Turkey PSN it is.. £15 for standard so I don't mind. Haha
Re: Assassin's Creed Mirage First Gameplay Looks Much More Traditional, Stabs October Release Date
I'd actually play this AC. Tried the past games and hated them. This looks OG.
