I was actually interested in this game but hearing that the story belongs in the Khia asylum was a huge turnoff... Playing this after finishing Banishers would be a the very definition of a whiplash lol. Still, I'm so happy that the game turned out to be a success!
Good thing I'm taking a break from Marvel Rivals, otherwise I would've started dragging Sony like Jane Don't did Alyssa Edwards (drag race reference lmao). Hope they sort this out soon!
@Marquez It's crazy just how much replayability they offer. The fact that there are five different endings is craazy, and the haunting cases are different based on your choices! Without spoilers, Jane and Squire Paris, for example, can be completely different if you spare or "blame" Thickskin! Glad you enjoyed the game and I hope you have fun on your second playthrough!
I'm taking my time with Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. I finished a fantastic haunting case where you discover the truth about one character that was all "super sweet and innocent," but it was all a facade, and he's actually a manipulative sociopath... I even chose to "blame" him, despite going for the Ascension ending... The game is such a masterpiece.
Pirat_Nation is a disgusting piece of sh*t, and anyone taking his "information" is seriously a clown. Trust me, you don't want to go down that rabbit hole...
@GirlVersusGame I think it's typical launch build stuff that can be sorted out relatively quickly. I mean Baldur's Gate III had a f*ck ton of issues and the third act (from what I've seen online) was broken as hell, laggy etc and yet nobody said sh*t to Larian... It's a massive game and of course it's going to be messy at launch but at least it's not broken and unplayable. I'm sure within a month they'll sort out the issues.
Yup, from what I've seen on Reddit, it does need some work, but calling it a "Cyberpunk" situation is literally peak delusion. It's nowhere near as broken, and this one actually looks fun. I think they should be commended for releasing a game of this scale!
@awp69 Clock that tea. I really enjoyed it AT LAUNCH, and the game has literally gotten so much better since then.. As soon as it goes on sale, I'm grabbing it.
@trev666 This! I never expected a masterpiece but it's absolutely creepy how a 78 critic score is "bad". I've played games that were DRAGGED to filth by game "journalists" but I considered one the best games in recent memory - case and point Technomancer from Spiders lmao.
That's so f*cked up gurl.. It got mostly positive reviews, the hell? I'm sick and tired of gamers and corporate aholes ruining game studios just because they didn't get a 90 score on Metacritic! I hope this game sells extremely well, just to give major meltdowns to the haters.
Apologies if I'm stirring the beehive, but I've seen some of the toxic PCMR crowd absolutely lose it because the PS5 Pro is literally giving better visuals and performance (thanks to the latest update) compared to some PC rigs that are nearly twice as expensive lmao! Well done Sony! I just wish I could've bought it instead the Slim, but alas, coming off a nasty breakup and being broke because of it limits a person's options 💀💀💀
Replaying Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden for the second time, but on Playstation 5 this time. I might try to sneak in some Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart if I find more time. Hope everyone is doing well this weekend!
Sucker Punch should be more commended for their incredible ability to deliver a AAA level of polish on a much smaller budget. I mean guuurl, didn't Ghost of Yotei cost Sony around 60 million ONLY?!11? And the fact that they made their money back in three days, plus the game is still selling like hotcakes, is a testament to their incredible talent! I just hope now we can pause the Ghost franchise and give us a new Infamous game!
I was worried this was going to happen... Nacon royally f*cked Spiders over, I mean why else would they have to seek funding through early access?! I hope Spiders can go independent or Focus acquires them!
I protested this decision way back when Horizon Zero Dawn was rumored to release on PC and I knew this would bite Sony in the ass. Their whole brand and identity always revolved around exclusives, I mean Jesus Christ, I remember dying to play The Last of Us and I wasn't able. That's one of the main reasons I got a PS4 in the first place! Exclusives SELL CONSOLES and if this wasn't the case, then Nintendo wouldn't be raking in record profits. It's not ANTI CONSUMERRR DUUURRRR, it's business. I haven't heard a single PCMR weirdo lose their marbles over PC gatekeeping such as mods, alpha and beta access for many games, exclusive MMOs etc etc.
@AhmadSumadi Yes and yes! It's not perfect but it's a 10 out of 10 for me. They literally made a masterpiece, the Ascension ending made me bawl for 20 minutes lmao. Unfortunately we probably won't get a sequel and I'm so angry because this could've been an incredible anthology series but alas.
@AhmadSumadi Yes king, glad we both enjoyed the masterpiece. I hope the game eventually gains a cult following because it hurts so much seeing how much it underperformed financially I even pre-ordered it, and it's in my top 5 best games that I ever played!
While I have the utmost respect for indie titles, I still think AA is the best gap between those 100+ million games and really low-budget indies. Banishers Ghosts of New Eden proved that you can have incredible graphics, great gameplay (bad enemy variation though), and an incredible emotional story that you choose how to tell. Unfortunately, the GAMERS decided NOT TO BUY IT, because waiting for a sale for a AA game will surely fix the whole live service push... Oh wait... 🤡
@KoopaTheGamer Disappointing for not making back the money they spent just porting the game to PC? Guurl... If they were ACTUALLY making a sh*t ton of cash from PC, they wouldn't have done this. Sure a couple of their titles, Days Gone being an example have sold reasonably well but again, those numbers are really miniscule, less than 10% of their income compared to console users. So again, how is this "disappointing"? They want their single player games to remain exclusive so that they can sell more consoles and units because we actually buy Sony's first party titles...
I clocked this recently lmao, love when I manifest my delusions into reality! Again, for the hundredth time, their games sold POORLY on PC, with Uncharted being an absolute flop. Expect the PCMR weirdos to have a meltdown over this, because it's ANTIII CONSUMERRRRR DUUURRRR!1!!!, but it's not anti consumer when alpha and beta tests for games are only PC, not to mention a lot of other decent titles being PC only...
Glad they have come to their senses, single play first party studio games ARE YOUR FLAGSHIP JUGGERNAUTS that sell consoles Sony!
Guurl, I don't want to be one of those doomsday types, but he isn't helping by being messy? People just want to see how it runs on the base PS5, it's not "toxic" to ask for footage of a game that is launching in two weeks!
I loved Faye, and I wanted to see more of her in the duology, but am I the only one who thinks that this is fake? They explicitly said that the Norse story IS OVER, and I highly doubt they would go with a prequel, considering that Cory has been working on this game for years now...
Probably a new pantheon with brand new characters, but set in the same universe. Or maybe I'm aiming at a generic story... Whatever it may be, I know they'll knock it out of the park, and Cory DOESN'T MISS.
I'm in my BL era again and thanks to Gagaoolala, I can binge-watch a lot lol. As for gaming, I plan to continue my first ever playthrough of Ghost of Tsushima. Omg Jin is so sweet and calm... why do I fall for the fictional characters lmaoo 💀💀💀
I mean, it was expected, right? Their PC sales have tanked, and for some reason, the PCMR community is having a meltdown over this despite the same people not buying them lmao?!
@TrollOfWar This is completely untrue. Days Gone sold more than 8 million copies on Playstation, with PC accounting for around 1 million units sold... Saying that "PC and Steam" saved Bend is a blatant lie. More than 90% of Playstation (single player games) sales come from the PS5 itself. PC is literally less than 10% (realistically between 5 to 8%), so again, mere scraps!
As it should be. Despite what a lot of people here think, their single-player titles aren't selling that well on PC, and Spiderman 2 literally proves this! 16 million copies sold on the PS5 vs 700000 on PC LMFAOOO. These ports are not worth the time and money, and Sony should just release their multiplayer/live service titles on other platforms, and that's it.
I'm looking forward to the sequel of HL. I just hope they expand the RPG elements, let us bring companions to explore the game world, give us a morality system, and let us choose to be evil!
Meanwhile, Focus Entertainment (the biggest AA publisher) is thriving. Unfortunately, if we ignore Spiders, Nacon literally has NOTHING that could potentially bring a best seller... I'm still pissed they bought Spiders...
@Westernwolf4 Sure... because it really worked out for Xbox, right, riiight? Oh wait... it completely backfired and it didn't help Obsidian sell their Outer Worlds 2. I'm sick and tired of this whole kumbaya WHEN EVERYONE PLAYS, WE'RE STRONGER crap. Just look at how many copies Spiderman 2 sold on PC vs PS5 lmao. It's nothing but scraps and I still think Sony should completely abandon porting their first party single player titles to PC because they're not selling well AT ALL.
Edit: Well girlies, I just got dragged to filth but I still think FIRST PARTY single player games from Sony should not be ported to PC anymore. I forgot that Shift Up had Sony as a backer/publisher, not as an acquired studio...
It's definitely really concerning, not to mention streaming. I've seen a ton of people who are "into gaming" but just passively consume content, aka watch other streamers play, which is fine, but ultimately, the whole point is to sell the game, right? My biggest fear is that these corporations will try to adapt content for these people who have short attention spans, and I've seen it first hand!
Ended a toxic three-year relationship, so I decided to replay Life Is Strange: True Colors. It deals with grief and trauma, and it's my comfort game lol.
I can't bloody wait! I preordered Greedfall A Dying World lmao, so no Digimon Story Time Stranger for me (for a while) but patience is a virtue. I was holding off because of the weird 30fps cap and low and behold...
I finished the game back when I had my Series S, and it was something I really enjoyed. Was it a masterpiece? NO. Was it a gamechanger? NO. But it's nowhere near as "bad" as the gamer hivemind would have you believe..
@AhmadSumadi Gurl, it's literally one of the most anticipated games of 2026, if we ignore GTA VI... There's a lot of buzz around it, especially with what they've shown, and people have already set their expectations high. If it doesn't live up to the "hype", it will definitely be forgotten in an instant; that's why I said that there isn't a middle ground for this type of game. Just look at what they've shown and promised...
@Naughtyottsel92 Well, Sony has made some horrible decisions at the beginning of this new console era, and Xbox actually made good choices. That's why I chose to get a Series S back in 2021! But now things have changed, HOWEVER, you should know that a monopoly is never good for the consumer, especially when we're dealing with capitalism.
@OldGamer999 Yeah, the PS4 era definitely had more games coming out but if we're being honest, games have evolved to a point where it's literally impossible to develop one in such a short time, unless it's a short indie experience.
I left Xbox like a month ago, and I never looked back. The PS5 is dominating the console space FOR A REASON, but a monopoly is never good, and Xbox is literally handing over everything to Sony on a silver platter. Whether this is good or bad, we have yet to see...
