I remember that there was some interest in adapting Vampyr, but nothing concrete happened so far. This however? Sign me up, it does have a lot of potential.

I finally calmed down after hours and hours of jumping around like a rabbit in heat. It seems they're going all-in with this one, and I just need to know one more thing. When can I preorder the game??!!
Just like @Korgon, I'm so going evil on my first playthrough just to experience that sweet, sweet Avada Kedavra lol.

@lolwhatno I was one of those who called it "walking simulator". But imagine my surprise when I experienced it first hand. It's far from perfect and it's NOT a 10/10 game, however, it has a very unique charm that separates it from other similar titles.
I loved the story and I was fully invested in the post-apocalyptic world (except Norman - he CAN'T act), and weirdly, I couldn't wait to start making new deliveries.
The downsides include a bit of that open-world bloat, plot holes and simply could become tedious for some gamers.

@CynicalGamer There were rumors that Witchcraft couldn't utilize the game engine properly, no matter how many times they started from scratch. My guess is that Bandai just transfered it to a more experienced team.

I'm going to try Scarlet Nexus for the first time. I love anime-style games so I'm super excited to try it out 😊
Oh and I'm going to play Greedfall's De Vespe DLC.

It's an 8/10 AT BEST. Seeing it get 10 out of 10 on some sites just proves how reviewers are biased as hell. We witnessed the same thing with Cyberpunk.
Don't forget the blood animation that was literally copy pasted from Bloodborne....

I don't think this deserves such universal praise. Why?
Well, let's start with performance.

It's UNACCEPTABLE! People ripped Horizon: FW a new one for its visual glitches but are suddenly fine with this?! I'm sick and tired of gamers giving FromSoft a free pass when it comes to their shoddy, piece of sh*t engine that always runs poorly, no matter the platform.

Animations haven't changed a lot compared to their previous games. Sure, they did add some cool horseback stuff, but controlling your character still feels floaty.

(FOR SOME) No accessibility options for those who want an easier approach. And before you start roasting me with those generic "Git GoOd!!1!" jokes, it's actually possible to balance it.
For example, why not give an option where you don't lose your money after you die? Or reduce the stamina penalty when dodging?

Graphics are... yeah. Not up to today's standards but I won't criticize them too much because I play AA games all the time, so it wouldn't be fair of me.

I never played it, but from all the reviews out there, I don't think this deserves more than a 7 at its current state. With performance improvements, it's definitely an eight out of ten.

Of course, feel free to disagree. These are just my opinions and I know they don't reflect the majority.

Looks rough? Check.
Looks outdated graphics-wise? Check
Looks a bit janky? Check
Will run like sh*t (probably)? Check

It's a FromSoft game through and through lol. There is nothing there we haven't seen before and it's still pretentious af. No trailer can change that.

BUT for those who stan the Dark Souls formula, this will feel like home. For me and probably many other gamers, it's a hard pass.

@RubyCarbuncle Yeah, I totally get it and I know it sucks hard. But in his defense, I think we all have that broken/garbage/bad game that we like a lot. Mine is Mass Effect Andromeda. That game was dragged to the ground like it was the biggest abomination ever, but compared to Cyberpunk, it's a finished game that is still a far superior product.

@RubyCarbuncle Guurl no need to for that much shade lol! I'm probably one of the loudest CDPR/Cyberpunk critics on this site, but people have the right to do what they want to do, and that includes supporting a "product" like this. Is it fair to see excitement over this? No. Is it fair that is sold more than than other RPGs like Mass Effect? No.
I'm looking forward to playing H:FW and no CDPR tweet is going to ruin my hype.

Reminds me of Biomutant. Both games tried doing too much without actually focusing on making the game fun.

I snagged Greedfall's De Vespe Conspiracy DLC for five bucks! Fantastic price for a solid expansion. Can't wait to jump back into that world again.

@TheCollector316 I tried Destiny 2 and I was OVERWHELMED. No matter how much I tinkered with the menus and game modes, I found it confusing and unintuitive.
I despise when a game needs huge guide to get it "working".

Besides Halo, what have they done since? Destiny is a niche game that has it's loyal community but besides that...

Glad I waited for reviews. Techland should've hired better writers for this one, but it seems the core gameplay got improved so it might satisfy the fans. For me, this is a hard pass.

@jFug I was one of the people who wanted that game to be succesfull, however it did make sense for EA to move on.
Bioware's talent has always been single player games and they should stick to what they do best.

It's a sh*tshow on Twitter right now. I never bought the game but dear lord, it's a giant mess that DICE will have to devote so much to fix.

You know, they could've aquired underrated studios like Spiders, Asobo, Quantic Dream, Dontnod etc.

• Non existent, p*ss poor, truly terrible AI that was so bad it hasn't been seen in YEARS
• No third person cutscenes
• Terrible driving controls
• Dead city with braindead NPCs
• Terrible progression system
• Subpar sidequests that are extremely repetitive
• No mini games
• No wall climbing
• Advertised "hacking" turned out to be a complete joke
  I could goo on and on and on...
  Keep in mind, this is just a fraction of what they promised.
  So again, how is it a "GoOd" game?

I'm still undecided when it comes to Dying Light 2. I do love what I'm seeing, and a choice-based narrative will always be a major plus to me.
HOWEVER, I found the original quite derivative and bland. If they manage to have meaningful characters this time around, I might snatch a copy.

I'm so going to get ripped to shreds for saying this, but I want to get my opinions across. Why are people saying that it's "acceptable" when FromSoft games are janky or run poorly, yet others would get scrutinized? Seriously, I tried and I REALLY TRIED to see the appeal but it just isn't working for me. I can't stand a nonexistent story that is drip-fed through pretentious forms.
I know I sound like a broken record for constantly mentioning the Surge 2, but god that game is a masterpiece. It offers the same challenge as the Souls, but yet expands on it in so many ways. The story is quite powerful and there are many ways to play it.

@WanderingBullet But probably for the PS5 version only. I do hope I'm wrong though...

@xyopic I never said the PS4 Pro was trash, or incapable of running open world titles like H:FW. But let's face it, those old Jaguar cores, 8 gigs of RAM plus a slow HDD don't inspire confidence. However, I do trust Guerilla so I'm hoping that the game will run at a stable framerate.

@Shredderlovespizza I'm a bit broke right now, but I'm hoping to snag a Series S by July of this year. I know that a lot of games will probably run at 30fps on it, but for me that's quite acceptable considering how well priced it is.

Looks gorgeous, but I'll still wait for a performance analysis before I pull the trigger.
