@Silenos Hun, the game was review bombed on Steam because.... Well because ...... It's a game that was supported by Geoff and because a AA studio dared to release a multiplayer game because the devs all worked on a highly successful project beforehand. To be fair, normal people critized the performance on PC but that's a minority. Most of the community online suddenly got a hate b*ner.

@Oram77 They wanted to put their spin on the Apex Legends/Marvel Rivals formula and that's completely fine. Saying NOBODY ASKED FOR THIS GAME is a huge stretch, some people wanted a game like this, and it hurts seeing people attack a small AA studio!

I haven't yet tried it but this whole hivemind of wanting a game to fail for "reasons" is absolutely the reason why I hate GAMERS™

Extremely disappointed in Push Square tbh. I won't question individual tastes, but not having A Plague Tale: Requiem on the list is downright baffling. It trumps the majority of games you mentioned, but to each their own.

I'm not surprised by the lukewarm reception at all. Glen came off as an extremely arrogant person, especially when he praised crunching and we all know how often that happens in the gaming industry. He seems like a terrible person to work with.
As for the game, I never understood his need to make a cheap Dead Space clone. The story from what I've heard sucks and doesn't hold a candle to DS. It's not an abomination but seems forgettable.

Tbh it looked super polished in the gameplay video, so I'm guessing PS4 and XONE are to blame.
My only concern right now is the game getting buried with the release of Ragnarok.

I would rate it somewhere between a 6 and a 7. I loved the atmosphere and the cat is sooo adorable, BUT, I think the story wasn't up to standards, unfortunately. I wanted to see more of Momo and Clementine, how humans ended up extinct etc. If they ever make some sort of a sequel, I hope they address this.

Wouldn't it make more sense for them to actively promote the game at this stage? Guurl, we're almost in August and they have yet to release any substantial information.
Call me a negative Nancy, but this smells like Cyberpunk 2077. By that, I mean it's a repackaged PS4 game with updated character models.

That looks absolutely horrible! I adore the universe but good lord, this is such an expensive cash grab and they're not even hiding it anymore. The fact that they didn't even bother to add a dodge mechanic says a lot about this "remake".
I don't want to tell people what to do with their money, but I hope you guys don't spend your hard earned cash on this. It's not worth it.

@jFug Lol! To be fair, Man of Medan was terrible, Little Hope was really decent (sans ending) and House of Ashes was pretty excellent. The Quarry was definitely on par with Until Dawn.
But I get it, the PS team isn't a big fan for some reason.

Hate to be that guy but why are people hyped for yet another generic open world game?
It's not going be an RPG, nor will it have a compelling story. Rockstar should focus on bringing a fresh IP with RPG elements, instead of rehashing old stuff.

I'm moving in with my boyfriend soon, so I haven't bought any games recently. However, I'm enjoying Apex Legends at the moment, so that's what I'm playing.

My guess is that they'll pull the plug this year. There isn't even a roadmap anymore, and to my knowledge, there won't be anymore single player content. Such a shame, because there is a good game buried underneath all that live service crap.

I'm going to be THAT guy and ask, do people still play this? I thought it was pure garbage when it was released back in 2020. Way too chaotic for my taste, with floaty controls, and the gameplay is dreadful IMO. I had more fun with Rocket Arena (dead game) and Knockout City, and they're also indie games with strong gameplay.

Watched the livestream, and damn it looks good. They definitely improved the gameplay and it looks like it's no longer a "trial and error" type of stealth.

I'm stunned lol. It looks so polished and the animations simply go with the flow. Focus hasn't disappointed me yet, and this one looks like a major winner.

To my fellow Greedfall fans, I'm happy to say that Spiders is working on a new RPG that will have companions, romance options, etc. Basically, everything we had before.
Steelrising is something new they wanted to try, and they're not abandoning their roots.

@lolwhatno I was one of those who called it "walking simulator". But imagine my surprise when I experienced it first hand. It's far from perfect and it's NOT a 10/10 game, however, it has a very unique charm that separates it from other similar titles.
I loved the story and I was fully invested in the post-apocalyptic world (except Norman - he CAN'T act), and weirdly, I couldn't wait to start making new deliveries.
The downsides include a bit of that open-world bloat, plot holes and simply could become tedious for some gamers.

@CynicalGamer There were rumors that Witchcraft couldn't utilize the game engine properly, no matter how many times they started from scratch. My guess is that Bandai just transfered it to a more experienced team.

I'm going to try Scarlet Nexus for the first time. I love anime-style games so I'm super excited to try it out 😊
Oh and I'm going to play Greedfall's De Vespe DLC.

It's an 8/10 AT BEST. Seeing it get 10 out of 10 on some sites just proves how reviewers are biased as hell. We witnessed the same thing with Cyberpunk.
