Persona 6 Protagonist Leak

After years of rumours, whispers, and fake leaks, we may finally have something on Persona 6.

Funnily enough, this is a leak as well — but it's being backed by known insiders over on ResetEra, where you can find the images themselves.

Basically, several grainy photographs of concept art have surfaced online. The art shows off a male protagonist with blonde hair in a bowlcut style, and a female character with black hair. Both appear to be wearing school uniforms.

File names for the art have also been leaked, revealing a number of character names, who are presumably party members. All of the names are Japanese, so we can assume that the game's set in Japan.

To be crystal clear, there's no definitive way to prove that these leaks are real, but at least from my perspective, they do seem to be legit in terms of quality; both the art and the working notes that surround it are of a professional level. And again, they're being highlighted as such by reliable insiders.

However, the discovery of this concept art has led to a slew of AI-generated posts doing the rounds on social media, where accounts are attempting to cash in on the hype.

Some of these posts already have tens of thousands of interactions. One picture in particular, which shows the leaked protagonist standing alongside party members, is clearly AI generated — but that hasn't stopped it from being shared all over the place.

The timing of these leaks has, of course, opened up fresh conversations about the official reveal of Persona 6. There are now whispers of a surprise announcement at next week's Xbox Games Showcase (due to SEGA's constant marketing deals with the team in green).

But as always, people are forgetting about Persona 4 Revival — which will almost certainly be in attendance — and I just can't see Atlus unveiling Persona 6 before the remake arrives.
