To me that's the easiest way to get into a live service game.
It has it's own built in reasoning for including every franchise that WB has the rights to in order to maximize engagement.

@Nightcrawler71 up until BOTW/TOTK The Legend of Zelda was my absolute favorite franchise. No matter the praise those games get I just don’t enjoy them. 75% of the reason is the weapon degradation system. I hate it. I want to love them, but it just sucks.

I recently was cleaning out my garage and found my SF2:V collection on dvd. I am really tempted to rewatch it now. It's been decades since I have.

@PuppetMaster to this day I continue to argue that SF II: The Animated Movie has some of the absolute best fight scenes I've ever seen. That Vega/Chun-Li fight is goated.

If Sony really wants to make a splash in the live service market they need to make their own version of Sony Rivals. They have the IP to support an endeavor like that. Use them all. Stop trying to make either a new IP or a game set within a singular IP. Combine them all and reap the rewards.

@PloverNutter Adding more X-Men with X-Men '97 themed suits just seems like a way to print money if I am being honest. I wonder if they will make exceptions to add 3-4 during specific seasons. Like a Defenders season adding 4 and an X-Men season adding more than 2. Seems unlikely given their statements, but this X-Fan can dream.

It's a good pace for sure. Unfortunately though, this means we are still likely a year+ out from Cyclops & Gambit.

DLC is CONTENT. It’s not a game. It’s content for a game. Game of the Year should be reserved for a game and its released content during that year.

@get2sammyb I concur. I was really into the Claire Obscur: Expedition 33 & Phantom Blade 0, but SW:O might just be the most impressed I’ve been over SGF.

I had every intention of playing it at launch, but then I started Lies of P. That game is fantastic. I am glad it was in so many of the top 5 lists from this site, because it certainly deserved it.

I wasn't exactly impressed with the pass itself, but the fact you can earn back the fighter coins it makes it potentially worth it.

If they had cut the fat out and condensed it to around 45 minutes with FF7, MK1, Sonic, Sandland, Prince of Persia, Alan Wake 2, and a few others most people would be rating this at very good or excellent.

@Greger22 Yes from the looks and description of it. Very similar. There will be some overlap between playable characters and kameo characters, but from the sound of it most of the kameo characters will not be playable.

My "bold" prediction: Iron Man VR remastered for PSVR2

I know it's totally Castlevania vibes, but something about it has me thinking it's what it would be like to play a Mega Man X game where you could swap between X and Zero whenever you wanted.

If it were an option I'd easily pick FF Tactics Remake...but given that it isn't and hasn't officially been announced yet I selected None of 'em!

I still haven't finished FF7R. Every time I hit the side mission parts in the towns it just ground my momentum to a halt.

@Jackpaza0508 my Fortnite total was ridiculous...243 hours.
Granted my 7yr old played it on my account too, so it was probably more like 190 hours but still.

Honestly I have been really intrigued by the trailers of this since its debut, but this has actually turned me off of the game. It looks ok. However, the depth of field isn't very detailed, the world seems empty, the frame rate isn't up to par, the graphical fidelity looks old gen not current gen, and the combat seems like it could get clunky.

This is disappointing.

Marvel's Avengers is a game with great combat, but no rewarding loop. The only way to earn in game credits is through the Challenge Cards, but those have a maxed out amount. So unlike other GaaS there isn't really a way to earn the true in game currency to spend at the marketplace. Couple this with the lack of mission/scenic variation, no PvP(or PvEvP), lack of quality loot and most people feel no reason to keep playing it.

@dbunny @Jaz007 Ok sounds like i've got some good options to keep an eye on when sales update. both of those look like they'd fill a good vr void in my life. Any other VR reco's? I finally played Tetris Effect in VR the other day and it was incredible. I've got Iron Man VR, which if it weren't for the load times i'd consider it a good VR game.

@MaccaMUFC it's honestly one of my biggest complaints about VR games. I've pretty much never seen a game that had the arms with the hands.

Forget fixing the dead scout thing...I want them to increase the roll rate for some of the rare rooms with scout logs and cyphers. This randomness towards the platinum is frustrating.

I get the name Game Pass is taken, but really there is no need for a Video Pass. This is not the answer to Xbox right now. There are already too many VoD streaming services available. Netflix & Disney + just signed deals with Sony for streaming rights to their films and shows. Are there really that many people not subscribing to either service?

Answer Xbox by combining PS Now with PS+. If they need to offset the profits then make it a tier system. PS+ standard is normal price, PS+ Platinum is $10 extra.

Personal opinion - TLOU2 Factions got so big and ambitious that they could no longer feasibly launch it free as an update. So package TLOU Remake with Factions and they can use it as an excuse to charge for it.

@kyleforrester87 my thoughts exactly. Plus if they were planning to use a "season" per season of the first game, they could film 4 seasons during that stretch and release them all to minimize Bella Ramsey drastically aging each season.

I played a hive, a villain sector, and all of the Hawkeye story last night. It was extremely fast, smooth, and gorgeous. I am playing on a 70" 4k 120hz Samsung tv, and that 60fps and graphical upgrade really made a difference. I immediately felt like this game should have ditched releasing on the previous gen and waited until now to launch, because it more or less felt built for it.
