I only played Stray from that list, and really liked it. The one issue I had was those little creatures you had to run from or shake off - it just didn’t fit with the rest of the game (which I found quite relaxing)

But then I’ve got little time nowadays to game, so I prefer something short, reasonably easy, and fun

How do you paddle without arms?

I love the Harry Potter books, although they could’ve done with firmer editing from about Book IV onwards.

The Hogwarts setting is great, and it was a good move to set the game in the pre-HP days. I didn’t watch the video, but I’m excited to play this - can’t wait!

To be honest, it looks pretty bad. Desolate world, weird floating structures that make no sense, lots of pop-in, no sense of where you are or where to go, abrupt camera pans trying to keep up with Sonic. It’s just disappointing; and I say this as a big fan of the ol’ Dreamcast Sonic Adventure games

I hate to say, but this blatant marketing gimmick is ... working! Dammit! I'm actually considering buying FIFA 2023. What has the world come to! Cats will be marrying dogs shortly...

A change in weight seems like a crazy thing for Sony to strive for. I mean you literally carry your console once, and unless your entertainment unit is made of paper, you’re probably good. I’m waiting to see a smaller unit that actually fits in my entertainment unit, and that I find aesthetically pleasing

I would much rather have a curated store, where the store owner stands behind the quality of the products they sell … you know, like every other store

This is definitely my jam - can’t wait to play it. One of their other games, Vostok Inc, was also really fun - it was my most played game on Switch in the early days!

I’ve backed quite a few things on Kickstarter, and have not yet been disappointed. Some stuff I backed was purely because I liked the people involved - which is the case here. I’m not a fan of the genre, but to help support a Ukrainian game studio sounds like a good thing to me.

Great Extra games list!

I’ve never played an Assassins Creed game before. If I was to only play one, which of these would people recommend I play?

Growing up in New Zealand, we were behind the times in many things. But my grandparents went on a trip to the US and came back with an Atari 2600 for us in 1977!

Every game was in B&W as it was an NTSC system and our tv was PAL … but it really didn’t matter, as we loved the thing to bits.

So many happy memories tied up in that wooden veneered console! My favourite games were Space Invaders, Combat, Slot Racers, Bezerk, Decathlon, Pitfall, and I even loved the Soccer game which was the crudest representation of football ever but oh so much fun!

Can’t wait for this collection!

I think Stray looks awesome - quirky, innovative, and interesting. I really like the 'push button to jump' without having to aim or time the jump - not sure why more games don't have this as an option, especially when dodgy 3D cameras are involved

Stray is enough to get me to subscribe to PS Extra (or whatever it's called). I'm not a cat fan, but then I'm not a fan of plumbers either...

I’m feline pretty good about this game

I’m happy to wait for a PS5 slim, which will hopefully coincide with when developers are no longer hindered by having to take the PS4 into account

The structures floating in the air are just plain wrong as well.

What worries me though, is why would you send out video demos of a game that is so obviously a work-in-progress, unless you were happy with them?!?

Based on everyone else’s hype, I may need to re-check my gaming credentials. Stray was the only game that interested me

Separately, why in VR do they only show your hands? Is it computationally too heavy to attach those hands to some arms? It looked bizarre in the Horizon demo

A bit of variety would be nice. If you’re giving away three games, maybe make sure two of them aren’t multi-player fighting games. GoW I already own, but haven’t yet played it … I guess I should give it a crack now

So it’s only 12 games I have no intention of ever playing…

This is coming from a TV company, who want to sell more televisions, and ideally push people to upgrade to an 8K model. It has nothing to do with Sony or Microsoft, but I’d guess the presentation was aimed squarely at investors/shareholders in TCL

If you’re a developer, you’d be nuts to go PS5 only. With almost 100M more PS4s in the wild it’s just too big a market to ignore.

I’m happy to wait to play any game. So for this gen, I’ll wait until there’s a PS5 Slim (I can’t stand the look/size of the current model)

The game looks stunningly beautiful! A few hours to complete is perfect for me. Can’t wait to indulge my inner-samurai

Stoked to get FIFA 22 - I love football, but had no intention of paying cold, hard cash for this. The other two games look pretty cool, just not really my bag. A better month than most, in my opinion

Do people really care about the new cars? For me, new tracks are where it’s at. But then I’m anti-grind, anti-online, and anti-transactions, so I’m not really the target market…

MTX in ANY game is bad. It turns the developers focus from ‘how good a game can we make’ to ‘how much money can we make’. Makes sense from a publisher’s point of view, but sucks for gamers. Even if you never buy anything in-game, the mere presence of MTX has already changed the gameplay for the worse

Happy to wait until it drops in price, in the hope they remove the online requirement (my internet is too patchy), and that MTX get toned down. If not, I’ll stick with my Dirt racers

Part of the reason I love racing games is I get to drive cars I’ll never be able to afford in real life. Locking these cars behind ridiculous levels of grinding or a paywall is the antithesis of this. MTX ruin the structure of a game, whether you use them or not. For this reason alone, I’m out.

Their always online requirement for a single player game, also rules me out, especially as I usually game when my internet goes down.

Hopefully these things change further down the track, and then maybe I’ll pick GT7 up, but until then I’ll get my racing kicks elsewhere

Super-excited to be a Slytherin, and unleash some dark magic on those pathetic Griffindor students (as well as taking out all muggles and squibs!)

I’d not been following this, so assumed it was going to be a Harry Potter game, but I’m so pleased it’s a Hogwarts game instead. I love the books, but I think setting this in a completely different time with different characters is a fabulous idea. I never buy day one, but I’ll grab it at some point

All I want to do is race a car. Everything else is window-dressing

Begging for extra money in game (or micro-transactions, as studios call it) really puts me off. And the always online component for single-player makes it super-annoying as my internet goes down often enough to make this potentially unplayable.

But I love racing games … so I guess I’ll wait for it to go on sale, and in the meantime play through my offline, mtx-free backlog

A lot to really like and admire in the video, but much like other comments, I wished the track itself was more life-like with skid-marks, grit and grime. I’ll still be getting it though

Burnout 2 and Metropolis Street Racer are my favourite racing games ever. Remakes of those would be my bliss

So website I’ve never been to is review-bombed by people I have nothing in common with. Just checking my care-factor … and it’s dipped below zero

@Uncharted2007 Nope, thankfully Australia left lockdown a few months ago. We’re almost entirely free of restrictions. I live in Sydney at Bondi Beach, so I’ll head into town to check it out, as it looks awesome!

The rollercoaster one looks ok, but I’ve not seen a PS5 in the wild, and won’t get one until there’s a Slim version

As a late PS4 adopter, I’d love to see some of the older PS+ games come back into play

I love the Harry Potter books, and the movies are pretty good too. I’m reading the series with my six year old daughter, and we’re playing the Lego Harry Potter game - it’s great fun!

I can’t wait for this game, and more mature take on the universe. If there’s co-op, I’ll be super-happy!

NFTs are pure speculation, and you just hope you’re not the one holding the NFT when everyone else realises it has no value

In terms of video games, if a publisher or developer can show how NFTs will make their games more enjoyable, then great. But they can’t, as it’s a pure money grab. Everything they say they’ll do with blockchain, they can do better with their own managed database. Everything else is smoke and mirrors

They lost me at having to keep an eye on car handling, damage and pitstops. I like my racing to be nothing but racing

Diddy Kong Racing on N64 was my favourite karting game ever. Great solo adventure mode, four-player split-screen, and a strategic and fair power-up system

As for me, I have no desire to play a game from 20 years ago that has such aged and tedious gameplay, irrespective of how well it’s been optimised or otherwise
