I appear to be in the minority here, as I hate what AI is doing. If we get used to AI-slop then where do the future creatives come from?

Who would study art or writing or music, when there’s no job prospects at the end of it, as everything is generated by an AI prompt. Particularly bad when the AI was ‘trained’ by ingesting human creative works, full-cloth, without a licence

Hey, but at least six companies get stupidly rich, the environment gets shot to *****, and art slowly dies…

If they want any extra fingers, I’ve got a couple of middle ones I can give them

Burnout Paradise was terrible. I don’t want an open-world where I have to drive around to find a race … I just wanna race!

Burnout 2 and 3 were sublime - if someone does a spiritual successor to those, I’m in Day One

I didn’t see the PS5 as a compelling piece of hardware, and its size and shape were also negative factors … so I’m still rocking my PS4 Slim which I got for a bargain many years ago. Great piece of kit!!

No thanks, I’ll stick with my PS4 Slim. I’m yet to see a decent enough reason to upgrade to a PS5, let alone an overpriced Pro. And it’s still butt-ugly!

I’m still on a PS4 Slim, and see no compelling reading to upgrade to a PS5 yet or to a rumoured PS5 Pro. It doesn’t help that I think they’re too big and butt-ugly. The wait continues…

I’m currently only rocking a PS4 Slim, but feel no need to upgrade. The graphics on the PS4 are as good as I need them to be, and the PS5-only games aren’t compelling.

Faster loading is about the only feature that interests me, but it ain’t interesting enough to cost $500+

So on a review site, those that liked the game rated it highly, and those that didn’t gave it a low score. Where’s the review bombing?

Alienating fans? Surely porting HFW embraces fans, giving more people the chance to enjoy the game?!?

Or do you mean fans of the corporate behemoth, Sony? In which case, that’s just bizarre - a corporate entity exists predominantly to make money, and aren’t deserving of fandom

I followed a few of the tutorials and tried some basic creation, but the whole time was wishing I had a mouse and keyboard and sitting at a desk with a monitor, instead of on a couch with a TV and a game-controller.

The software is amazing, and what people have created is truly incredible. But for me it was in the too hard basket

My Extra sub runs out in four days. I was thinking of resubscribing if there was a decent Black Friday special, but have found that since the price increase I’ve just not played any of the Extra games, so I’ll save me some cash instead

If an NPC is just saying generated filler, then I’d rather it said nothing at all, as I find stuff generated by AI to be wholly uninteresting.

Fancy auto-complete is no replacement for human scripting, and the disregard of creative talent by corporations is a race to the bottom - a race I want no part of.

Still too bulky and ugly for me. I’ll keep playing on my PS4, and hope that a Slim (as designated by Sony) comes out at some point, and the price drops a tad

Why not release on PS4? Design for PS5, then scale down for the PS4. It’s a too big of a user-base to ignore.

So my take-away is that some guy got credit for the stuff he should be credited for, but didn’t get credit for the bits he wasn’t involved in?!?

I’m outraged that I don’t appear in the credits, as I too had nothing to do with it. Outraged, I tell you!

I played Stardew Valley a bit on my Switch, but never really got into it. And then my daughter and I started playing separately but together on our iTelephones (Apple Arcade), and I'm finding it immeasurably more enjoyable.

And so very excited for when Haunted Chocolatier eventually releases. The dude is a legend

2024 just got so much better!

I play a few co-ops with my seven year old daughter - favourites are Little Big Planet, Overcooked: All You Can Eat, Moving Out, and Unravel Two. All quality, fun, shared experiences with a good amount of giggles

Easy pass. Publishers begging for more money whilst I’m playing a game is painful, tedious, and downright rude. I would never let my daughter play a game whose raison d’être is to continuously demand more money

I find this practice sickening, and it completely ruins the flow of a game. I wouldn’t play it for free

It looks like the patent is for dampers within the optical drive’s case to minimise vibrations. So, not purely for a removable optical drive (for which there is prior art)

I don’t think a racing game needs an open world at all, and driving from one biome to another sounds a tad dull. I remember my disappointment when I played Burnout Paradise, and had to drive around looking for a race I hadn’t already completed. Yawn

So PS5 sold about 40K over their two SKUs, and Switch sold about 50K over their three SKUs. Umm, Nintendo seems to be winning this week, with a console that’s seven years old. And dominating software sales…

If you want to push the narrative that PS5 is ‘winning’, then maybe choose a different market than Japan. Or choose a different headline

I’m waiting for a PS5 Slim, and the detachable drive would be cool. But I’m in no rush, as I’m happy enough with my PS4 Slim until there’s a need to upgrade - and I don’t really see any games that I’m missing out on yet

A more cartoony, fun version of this I’d be all over (Super Mario Maker in 3D), but as it stands I’ve almost zero interest. The voice-over didn’t help either

I backed this game ages ago, to help support the Ukrainian developers during the unprovoked attack by Russia. I’ve no real interest in the game, but if the money helps them then that’s all I can ask

And the only loser in the deal is the consumers…
