@blakey78 me too. I've pretty excited about the whole thing. Having had a taste of VR goodness on a mates devkit Rift I've at least got a vague idea of what to expect. The only thing I'm torn about at the moment is what software to buy. RIGS looks great but I dunno if I'll have the stomach for it! High times indeed!

Hey, I'll be honest, I played this originally in my student days when my state of mind was hazy at best, I've no doubt that this contributed towards my enjoyment. However, I'm still very looking forward to giving it a crack in VR!

Have any of you lovely pushsquare people sampled this gem with PSVR? If so, impressions?

I tried VR porn on the rift, and it is.... odd. Considering you can't feel the heat or breath of a woman who is SOOOOOOO close to you, it's little bit like being molested by a cyber ghost. I'm still undecided if it's for me tbh.

Funny you should post this, cos I got an Amazon preorder down LITERALLY the moment they went live, so I was confident that I'd have a unit on launch day. Yesterday however, I got an email from Amazon saying they had no idea when the shipping date would be now.

I am disappoint.

Good, old gen is wasted resource at this point. I'm kinda glad that they won't be pouring time, money and energy into it. If you chose to start Destiny (a game which touted a 10 year life span, even though that's not exactly happening now...) on either 360 or PS3, are you really that surprised it's been knocked on the head, or did you expect them to support the old consoles for years to come?

I'd be mad for all of those, even The Evil Within. I picked that bad boy up in a sale and it reminded me of a schizophrenic mash up of Silent Hill and Resident Evil 4. So yes please, for second servings!

@get2sammyb I've tried, dear God I've tried, but the mechanics are clunky as hell, and I hate being forced through the games due to constant time issue. So yeah, not for me. I even finished 3 out of sheer desperation, as there was nothing else on XB1 at the time

SOLD! I loved this game! I especially like how the ducking animation for the dragon has remained intact!

In terms of sales then did The Order not do very well? I admit I'm being a bit lazy here by not looking it up, but sales spreadsheets sometimes confuse me.

Personally I quite enjoyed it for what it was.

Didn't Kotaku's Jason Schreier received a death threat as well, for reporting on the rumour before it was officially announced? People genuinely scare me sometimes.

@placidcasual don't come in here with your logic and reason! It makes PERFECT sense that if you loved and enjoyed previous Megaman games, that you should avoid this and still maintain that you have a valid opinion purely because of its marketing!

I'm going to be rational and reserve judgement until I play it. But yeah, the trailer was gash.

I still think 3 is the best. I even prefer it to 4. 4 felt like a real slog towards the end. The wide open areas that were largely empty just became tedious to comb and look for treasures. Even the combat became really repetitive for me.

It's still a tremendous game, but overall I was a little disappointed. The ending was lovely, though

@DrClayman I'm with you. I bloody loved it. It's at least a solid 8 or 9 just for the SP campaign.

Good results for both. I'm more so happy for Doom, as good sales will hopefully mean a continuation of the franchise! I finished the single player last night and it was an absolute blast, now.... back to Uncharted!

I'miss guestimating, but Nidd say I'm about two thirds through on ultra violent. It's superb. Everything I always wanted in a modern iteration. No reloading, fast twitch shooting, superb graphics, lots of secrets and exploring, AMAZING sound design... I'm loving every minute of it!!

Plus, the collectors edition that I ordered? The box is HUGE, and the statue is incredible!

Verily yea, for they've been punished for their hubris. Personally, as soon as the inevitable single player add on is released I'm gonna be all over it like butter on toast.

I hope so. I think the first one is an underrated gem.

To be fair though I haven't played this since the 360 days, and I'm a complete sucker for Metroidvania games. Maybe in the inevitable sale/price drop in like... 2 days or something.

@Grawlog I was in the alpha which was really bare bones, but I still had fun. The beta that introduced the levelling system and general spit and polish was great again. Providing they support it with dlc and stuff, I can't see why it won't have some legs for a bit.

I can acknowledge that most of this is probably rose tinted nostalgia, but that time when Ultimate Doom went live via shareware was a pivotal point in my life. I still enjoy 3 as well, warts and all.

@themcnoisy I'm actually splurging on this one and going for the SE. I normally avoid those considering the ridiculous cost, but how often do we get a new Doom game?

@get2sammyb I know exactly what you mean. Simple pick up and play stuff, where you can get to the meat and potatoes within minutes. Whenever I'm tired and want to just unwind I still play Joust and Q*Bert on my NES!

Genuinely surprised and delighted. I finished up my first playthrough last night and it was a joy from start to finish. Random question though, I encountered 3-4 total crashes whilst playing, which was the first time in a long time. Anyone else have any teething issues?

@Bazza78 Zombi is a solid game. Personally I think it got a bad rap. It won't win any awards for anything but I enjoyed it far more than most of the dross that's out there.

My first ever n64 game. And it cost £67.99! £67.99 people! That was a lot of paper rounds! Daylight robbery I tells ya...

And to make matters worse it wasn't until I got home and fired it up that I found out I needed a bloody memory pak as well! Some harsh life lessons right there!

@Bliquid I'm not entirely sure that @sub12 was being negative towards me. Tbh I kinda read the comment as sarcasm, which made me chuckle.

I still want an arcade mode. Or as I prefer to call it, Street Fighter.

@KratosMD completely agree. I'm more of a single player dude by default, but playing with close mates and riding out in our own posse was something truly special.

@get2sammyb the weapons were top notch, but the story felt lacking. It just didn't have that spark that the first one did. Plus, naysayers be damned, the multiplayer was pretty fun too.
