I initially read the developers name as Sharknob, which would have been unfortunate

@ZeD yeah, I adore those games, and I tried really hard to like Firebreak... but it just needed more time in the oven. Compared to those other titles, it feels very janky and unpolished

For me, I'm a full time worker and a dad of 4. If I look at a huge catalogue of games that I'm sure are decent, but not necessarily things I'm chomping at the bit for, I just see a big pile of effort.

My time is precious, and I use it on things I know I'm going to love. It's bad enough scrolling through Netflix trying to find something to watch; I can't sacrifice that time to gaming as well!

I tried so hard to like this game, it's just so thoroughly unremarkable... I'd be surprised if a PS5 release did anything for it's reputation. Still, I'm sure there's people who do still want to give it a go. I just hope they get more fun out of it than I did

@jrt87 to be fair to pushsquare, it did sell out in the later afternoon. I say this because I couldn't get one. They've since (presumably) made more stock available

@Artois2 agreed. The artists and devs are real people. This is a cumulative effort from many. I know if I'd worked on this and seen it crash this hard, I'd be utterly broken, so yeah, they have my sympathy as opposed to contempt

@GeeEssEff yeah, they're banging and I wish I'd made the investment ftom day one, as it makes things way more comfortable. Just make sure you're ordering for PSVR2 fixtures and not PSVR1 by mistake... lest you be a pleb like me...

@GeeEssEff get your prescription and buy some lenses off HonsVR. There's other lense providers, but that's who I used and I've never looked back. Way more comfortable, excellent service from them, and speedy delivery from China to UK

Looking at those snow boots, it'd be good to see if they positively affected stamina/mobility when trudging through the snow or sand drifts.

@Kidfunkadelic83 they'll be on the mid tier. I've been playing on Hellmire and those general "scorched" planets. You'll definitely run into them on extreme.

@Mostik they are when you get in proximity. They have nests. It looks like a cluster of spore spewers, and clearing it is classed as a secondary. You need a hellbomb or orbital laser. Just don't deploy the hellbomb too close to the structures, or they get stuck on the rim of the mushroom bits on the way down, which means you can't arm it hahah

@Kidfunkadelic83 I got taken out by one last night in a fashion you're kind of suggesting... I shot it mid dive, then it's corpse cannoned into me and completely smooshed my feeble body.

Easily my most played PSVR2 game ftom a catalogue of about 10 titles. I understand the blurriness criticism, but I've had no other problems, and I've easily sunk about 30 hours into a new PSVR2 save. Each his own, I guess

@riceNpea damn straight. I'd sunk about about 70 hours into it pre-PSVR2, but I've started again and put another 25 hours in 😅

@LeeHarveyOzgod yeah, that criticism didn't even register with me.

Same with the hit detection. My kid plays drums, and she's been nailing the tracks on hard/expert with zero issues on cymbals, so I'm guessing it's the reviewers setup or a tech issue.

Still, out of all the launch stuff this game has gotten some serious play, so the 6/10 surprised me. People are entitled to their opinions though 😁

@JP80 that's what I did. Personally I prefer Drums Rock and think this score is quite harsh. That's just me tho

@JP80 a lot more variety in Ragnarock, with more licensed tracks. The styles are very different though. Ragnarock leans heavily into pirate, orchestral and doom metal, whereas Drums Rock is pretty standard rock and roll oldies with some contemporary, heavy stuff thrown in

@WallyWest hey man, I'm with you. I'm really enjoying it and love Halo as a franchise. It just struck me as unusual that the percentiles for story related achievements were low for such a big franchise. @Fiendish-Beaver does raise some valid points as well, mind. I'm only mentioning this as I don't want people think I'm crapping on the platform; I play all platforms, and everyone is eating good right now 😁

@Titntin yeah, I'm playing campaign at the moment and I'm really enjoying the gunplay. I'm starting to have concerns that it'll turn into a Far Cry effort, where I'm just combing the map for the sake of completion and not really having fun, but luckily the traversal, shooting etc is great stuff.

@JAMes-BroWWWn Halo not ranking is nuts.

I've noticed the percentile rates for achievement unlocks are stupidly low as well. Your bog standard, story progression achievements, which you'd expect pretty much every player to get, have really low numbers. Looking at them right now, the second equipment unlock, which you get really early in game, has only been unlocked by 17% of players.

This suggests to me either people arent playing the campaign, not a lot are playing the game at all, or a LOT of people are just playing MP. Either that or, the game is broken.
