Re: Red Dead Redemption 1 Confirmed for PS5, Out 2nd December

windxtravelerx

@ButterySmooth30FPS i mean, yes, sure. I definitely prefer the PS5 version of any digital game i buy than the PS4 version (with exception of Elden Ring), but i was expecting a RDR2 PS5 native port. I don't own RDR1 on my PS5 and I'm not really interested in getting now, but i hope that they don't bump the price of the PS4 version now because I'll probably get this one in the future, just not now

Re: Red Dead Redemption 1 Confirmed for PS5, Out 2nd December

windxtravelerx

Why? I mean, ok, it's nice that you can free upgrade your PS4 version to PS5, but... there's nothing really interesting here. I'm pretty sure that you can't do much with a 2010 game in terms of graphics and even if i love adaptive trigger and haptic feedback, this is still not that interesting. They should just release an update for RDR2

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give ARC Raiders?

windxtravelerx

Never played but I'll give it a 10 because the devs actually heard brazilian gamers and lowered the price of the game on PS Store, to the point where it's cheaper than the Steam version. I wish more publishers and devs could be like this and not let Playstation Brazil act like a money hungry mercenary

Re: Shameless Clones of Viral Hit Games Like Megabonk Continue to Plague PS Store

windxtravelerx

Hmm let me see:

PS Store crashes constantly when I'm browsing games. Today it happened to me at least 5 times

Wishlisted games aren't displayed properly on PS5, only on PS App

Wishlist capacity is laughable at best. I have to constantly remove games from it to make space for other games

PS App has a bug where whenever you browse games that are on sale, they show up repeatedly when you're scrolling down the screen

Fake scam asset flip garbage being offloaded constantly every day on PS Store

PS Store games in Brazil are extremely expensive compared to Xbox and Nintendo. Yes, you pay more for X game just because it's available on Playstation. We brazilians call this the "Playstation tariff"

I love Sony and Playstation. Keep doing what you're doing guys! Nice work supporting your own system and making your users happy

Re: Talking Point: If Xbox Drops the Cost, Would You Be Happy Still Paying for PS6 Multiplayer?

windxtravelerx

My opinion as a brazilian gamer: no, I'm not happy to pay to play online, that's why i don't pay for PS Plus. That's the TL;DR version

Now, the long version. PS Plus prices were raised by a large margin here in Brazil, add this to the fact that almost every game on Playstation Store in Brazil is way more expensive than games on Xbox, Steam or even Nintendo, and you have a situation where someone like me is stuck in a platform for lack of options while paying more money just to play the same game other people in other platforms pay less to play

PC isn't the best option for me because:

a) they're insanely expensive here in Brazil

b) most PC ports are lacking in optimization + other complications, like drivers breaking games, shader compilation stutters that usually can't be fixed by us users and so on. I switched from PC back to consoles last year because of these issues

The next Xbox hardware could, in theory, be the best option for me, but unfortunately I'm pretty sure this thing will cost an arm and a leg here in Brazil, so that's a big no for me. Too bad because their idea of a hybrid PC and console sounds really interesting, though I'm not sure how this is going to work

So i guess I'll stick to PS6, not 100% sure yet, but one thing I'm certain of: not gonna pay to play online, ever. Of course you have other benefits on Plus, like the catalogue of games to play and etc, but i usually buy these games anyway, and i don't like the idea of having access to a game just as long as I'm paying for a service

Now, the saving grace in all of this could be the PS6 price and the hope that one day Playstation will stop converting dollars to whatever currency X country use and do the same thing as Xbox and Nintendo is doing, which is to regionalize their prices according to each country. If they do this i would glady buy every Playstation console in the future and never rely on PC ever again

Re: Talking Point: PS6 In 2027 - How Do You Feel About Sony's Next-Gen Console?

windxtravelerx

I'm not interested in getting a PS6 at launch at all. First, I'll wait to see if Sony will keep porting their games on PC, how much this console will cost in Brazil and what kinds of exclusive PS6 games and next gen games (that won't run at all on my current notebook) there's going to be

I'm going to ignore these people desperate for clicks trying to leak everything they can about the next Xbox and Playstation, though.

Re: People Don't Buy Anywhere Near As Many Games As You Think

windxtravelerx

I bought a lot of games, most of them on sale and a lot of indies. I bought probably +30 games but most of them were not full price and nowhere near as expensive as 200 or 300 reais in Brazil

This statics only take into consideration US, though, not that the rest of the world isn't following the same path, it probably is, but who knows

I wish i could buy more physical media, but a lot of times physical is more expensive than digital here in Brazil, but I'll probably get Ghost of Yotei in physical media, and probably an used copy

Re: Preview: Marvel Tokon's Biggest Battle Isn't in the Arena

windxtravelerx

@PuppetMaster THANK YOU SO MUCH for replying, arguing and explaining things to some people here (including the author of this article) in a way that is both very informative and truthful. As someone who played the closed beta and is a total noob in fighting games, i completely agree with your statements. It takes a while to understand everything if you're a beginner but the flow of the combat and how easy the combos are to pull off makes this game so much fun and interesting for me

Re: Sounds Like Sony May Finally Be Starting to Wind Down PS4 Support

windxtravelerx

@nomither6 as far as we know, the next Playstation will be out at the end of 2027, at the very least, so that's definitely far away

I'm pretty sure that when the PS6 is out, games will still come out on PS5, same thing that happened to PS4, so i don't understand what are you trying to say here and what this has to do with my initial comment

Anyway, I'll put you on my ignore list because i don't want to be pulled into a needless discussion, especially because my initial comment was very simple and basic

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Ghost of Yotei?

windxtravelerx

I wish i could, but 400 bucks in Brazil is too much for me. Maybe I'll get this one when it's on sale (physical media) or even buy used. Being a gamer in Brazil it's not that easy anymore but i wish all the best for SP and i hope this game sells very well. It's a wonderful game

Re: Silent Hill F Selling Faster Than Silent Hill 2, Already at 1 Million Units

windxtravelerx

Good for them, although the higher than average price in Brazil (400 reais instead of 350 on PS5. On Xbox and PC the price is 350 reais) will force me to skip this game for a long time. Won't be buying this game until it's at least 200 reais. Didn't read the review here, i never do, since i pretty much always disagree with every review this website has, so I'm pretty sure this game will be quite fun and a strong 9/10 for me (whenever i buy it)

Re: PS5 Is the Most Successful Console in PlayStation History, States Sony

windxtravelerx

Well, with games costing 400 reais in Brazil now (which is A LOT) it's no surprise that Sony is profiting this generation by doing almost nothing. I really enjoy playing on my PS5, but this is by far (HERE IT COMES) the worst generation ever from Sony. Too many remasters, insanely expensive games, most games are being ported to PC a year later costing way less than they do on PS5, a console that i have to open every month just to clean it so it won't be clogged with dust, a very unstable OS that keeps crashing every now and then when i go into the PS Store...AND SPEAKING OF WHICH, PS Store has the most horrible asset flip garbage scams being sold in their store, to the point where it's impossible to browse some parts of the store

I wish things could be different, i really do, but at this rate I'll have to switch sides and start supporting the company that actually doesn't overprice their games in Brazil (Microsoft), which is a sad thing to say because i have been playing on Playstation since PS1, but i value my money and Sony isn't helping me here. If they start using regional pricing in all games on PS6 then I'll change my mind, but I'm 99% sure this won't happen

I feel bad for my fellow brazilian gamers, who are always complaining to Playstation Brazil on their social medias about their horribly inflated prices, but they're just being ignored time and time again

So, in the end Playstation is the only one celebrating, because I sure as hell am not
