NetEase has announced the first PvE mode for its popular free-to-play shooter, Marvel Rivals.
Collaborating with the recently released miniseries Marvel Zombies, the aptly named Zombies mode is coming to the game on 23rd October, 2025:
In the above announcement video, we see Marvel Studios' Brad Winderbaum and Marvel Games' Danny Koo discussing the new mode.
Unlike the rest of Marvel Rivals, which has strictly been a PvP game up to this point, Zombies mode will see players working together to fight back hordes of the undead using a selection of heroes from the existing roster.

These include Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff, and The Punisher, each of whom will have some unique abilities in the new mode. You get a brief look at these in the trailer.
As well as taking on the zombies themselves, you'll also go up against bosses Zombie Namor and the Queen of the Dead.
The end of the video lists PS5 alongside other current-gen systems, so it seems like the PS4 version may not be getting Zombies mode — we'll try to get clarification on that.
Anyway, are you excited about Marvel Rivals' first ever PvE mode? Tell us in the comments section below.

I abandoned this game long ago and this won't make me go back to it. Have fun if you're still playing, though
Well atleast they are adding new events unlike some re using the same events years after year. This looks pretty neat in my opinion so il definitely give it a try.
Tried the game, but shooters aren't for me. But this, I can certainly get behind.
They're doing what Blizz should have done with Overwatch.
A PvE mode sounds really fun though.
sorry, but this is too spooky for me!
