Bethesda might finally be done re-releasing Skyrim over and over again, so how about a few extra versions of Fallout 4 instead? To mark 10 years since its original release, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition shall launch for PS5 and PS4 on 10th November 2025.
This new version of the RPG will package the base title alongside every piece of DLC it has ever received, in addition to over 150 pieces of Creation Club content. The Creations system is coming to Fallout 4, and this imminent Anniversary Edition will have a new Creations menu to let you browse through what people have made.

For current owners of the game, the PS Store will offer an Anniversary Upgrade, and there'll also be some kind of tie-in with PS Plus. The Anniversary Edition will only be available digitally — there's no physical version.
To mark a decade of Fallout 4, Bethesda is calling this latest version "the ultimate celebration of a beloved classic, bringing together the complete Fallout 4 experience". Will you upgrade your copy to the Anniversary Edition? Let us know in the comments below.

It speaks to Bethesda and Xbox's incomprehensibly bad project management that they have a New Vegas themed season of Fallout coming out soon but have no remaster of it for modern consoles ready to go to drum up excitement from old and new fans. Just a re-release of Fallout 4 and a PC only bundle of vanilla New Vegas. Un-freaking-believable.
Another settlement needs your help.
Not worth it for Creation Club stuff, IMO
$9.99 on steam right now with all DLC...OR probably $49 for the re-release.
It would make for a really nice collectable if Microsoft were to allow for a proper anniversary edition, with a steelbook, Artbook and maybe even a bobble head! However, I would expect we will be doing good to just have the game on the disc… (if there is even to be a physical, haven’t checked that yet).
Edit. Just read the article. Not even a physical to have bought…
And yet people give Naughty Dog stick for re-releases...
One of my biggest gaming let downs. Hated the voice protagonist, but the railroad questline was when I finally decided I hate this game lol.
I used to love fallout but I’m so out of love with Bethesda that’s the problem
@Oram77 in fairness Bethesda have at least been releasing new games. One may not love Starfield, but it's a decent competent game.
ND get stick because remasters are literally all they have released!
The last new ND game I purchased at launch and actually enjoyed was Uncharted 4 in 2016! If I'm being generous I could say Lost Legacy in 2017!
I don't even want to talk about the "other" game.
Other games need your attention, I’ll mark them on your map.
@Dogbreath Just because you don't want to mention Last of us part 2 doesn't mean it doesn't exist, which came out in 2020. plus we all know that Jim Ryan had ND working on Factions 2 for years, which obviously got cancelled, and now they are working Intergalactic which should coming out late 26/early 27.
@Dogbreath Also, importantly, Skyrim has rightfully been the poster child of needless remasters/rereleases for a decade now. But no other Bethesda game really has as egregious of a history of rereleases as The Last of Us. And that The Last of Us Part 2 got some Skyrim: Anniversary energy rerelease kinda just makes it feel like a series thing — and hence, a studio thing.
@Dogbreath Whats wrong with the "other" game?
I love this but i'm biased toward Bethesda games so my opinion don't count.
Does this mean there won't be any remasters/new releases for FO3/NV? I really wanted to play those on PlayStation but have heard they are pretty bad with the infamous Bethesda memory leak problems. NV especially.
@Veritas7Ax Rumours are, Fall out 3 remake is already in the works. Haven't heard anything about New Vegas which is a shame as it's my favourite one!
The game that killed Bethesda rpgs. This, 76, and Starfield proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have absolutely lost what made them special. Skyrim was the last great rpg from them, unless there is some kind of miracle.
@Oram77
Nice, I'll take that for now. And yeah I'm with you on NV, I've heard such good things! I heard it was so rough on PS3 though for completionists. If it never makes it over in a remaster, I'll probably just try it on PC at some point.
I have all the DLCs, classic game which started out boring on my first playthrough, tried the second time and it became one of the greatest shooter RPGs of all time, made me regret not really digging into Fallout 3 back in the day. Got the plat, I'll have to do a 5th run some day because like Skyrim, I feel there's still some hidden stuff I haven't discovered.
I just don't care much for the creation club. If I want to give support to mod makers, I'd rather toss them a donation through their PayPal or Patreon rather then it go through Bethesda.
Creation Club is one of the worst ever things that Bethesda has implemented into their games🤮
It literally motivates them to ship more and more broken games and than charge people for fixes. Just look at Starfield as a prime example of that🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Can Bethesda not release anything new anymore
10 years
Christ
@Dogbreath @Oram77 They are all guilty of remastering PS4 games for PS5. The one remaster everyone and their dog is begging for is still out of sight.
@Smackosynthesis Exactly what I thought
Huh? Didn‘t we already got a native PS5 F4 version?
Free for current owners?
Oh darn, no physical edition with 1GB of data on the disc
Oh sorry that's Microsoft
Oh darn, no standard game on the disc with a download code for the dlc, edition
Edit: I got real confused and forgot Microsoft own Bethesda now
I'd rather have a remastered Fallout 3. Fallout 4 was so disappointing for me
@Cerny Yes, there is already a current-gen version, but this anniversary edition adds creation-club mods.
I personally loved Fallout 4. It had plenty of things to discover when just exploring, had some great characters/companions and had some very decent quests. I even preferred the voiced protagonist but that was thanks to badass Nora being voiced by Jack from Mass Effect.
Rather they remake New Vegas
The bigger deal for this is that it’s coming to Switch 2.
@awp69 not really its a 10 year old game i think anyone who wanted play this game already has done it thought it was a good game though
No thanks. It didn't exactly look good when it released. Certainly not interested in playing it 10 years down the road. Good that Switch 2 owners also get it tho but it would appear reading on NL most would have liked New Vegas or 3.
@RBMango there should never be a remaster of new vegas unless they get the original dev team to work on it, i don't want modern day Bethesda or obsidian to touch it otherwise and they should keep the voice acting intact or bring back voice actors.
Bought Skyrim & Fallout 4 GOTY edition in a £17 sale bundle off the PS Store for the PS4 many years ago now. The main game is great fun, the expansions less so. Not much point going for the Anniversary version when all it'll be adding is the Creation Club tat.
@Dogbreath Its a Mediocre game at best let see what banger Naughty Dog will deliver.
