Man, I really enjoyed The Matrix Path of Neo. I know it's not the greatest game ever made but one time when I was fighting a bunch of Agent Smiths I picked two of them up by their legs and spun them around like nunchaku.

So...you start walking down an alley and plant tendril looking things start to grow along the walls. The further down the alley you go they start trying to reach out and snatch you like a Black Friday special. Why wouldn't you turn around?

Star Wars has so many different areas of interest (jedi with swords, fighter pilots with ships, bounty hunters, foot soldiers, etc) that I feel like every 6 months would be acceptable as long as it doesn't turn into the same kind of game every 6 months.

Ah, makes sense. I guess people just assume Ryan and Layden did the same thing because Ryan is really the only public facing top dog we get anything from. At the end of PS3 and in the PS4 era, Playstation had a lot of familiar faces for fans to like: Shawn Layden, Shuhei Yoshida, and Kevin Butler (loved that E3). They all seemed, probably most sincerely by Shuhei, to love the Playstation brand and came across as excited as their fans.

Now tho, the vast majority of stuff I see from a Playstation figure head is from Ryan and he's not the most charismatic leader Playstation has ever had. And occasionally we get something from Herman Holst and probably another person I'm blanking on but we don't have anyone like we did during PS4 era and that's a shame. Shuhei got put in PR jail or something.

The older I get the more I appreciate the quote: "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain".

Seriously tho, this news is disappointing but perhaps he's pulling a Tony Stark-Civil War move where Tencent is coming in to buy stuff no matter what just like the government was forcing super heroes to register. Tony joined in an effort to make sure the transition was handled as fairly as it could be. Maybe Layden took the job in an effort to keep Tencent's involvement becoming too invasive. I can dream, cant' I?

@Dezzy70 I think some people aren't enamored with where the gaming industry is going. They prefer to play an older game that 1) works and doesn't wait on patches to make it playable, 2) don't microtransaction you to death, and 3) riddled with ads. I mainly stick to my single player experiences but when those eventually die out to make room for live service games then I'll be one of those back-compat Romantics

I want someone to love me as much as Jason Schreir loves talking about crunch. I still like some of the journalism Schreier puts out and Blood Sweat and Pixels was great but, imo, he's become so insufferable and self-righteous when it comes to crunch.

Also, how do you just throw a massive meatball down the center of the plate like that knowing Schreier is waiting with a tree trunk sized baseball bat waiting to knock it out of the park.

I'm so burned out on Batman I'm ready to stroll down Crime Alley myself. So excited to play as the Bat Family, characters who may not be as perfect at everything as Batman but they actually feel like real people who can do human things, like, oh i dunno, smile.

The more China and the Saudi Public Fund invest in the games industry the more it's looking like I'll be buying used copies of games I really want to play.

@racinggamefanatic @toypop was referencing the Chinese goverment. They didn't say anything about the Chinese citizenry.
And there's definitely a need for politics because companies like Tencent with close CCP ties and the Saudi Public Fund are invading the games industry bit by bit and I don't want my money going to support concentration/re-education camps in China or a Saudi government that sees fit to murder people who don't agree with them.

Looks like the remake of 1 and possibly remake of 2 will be as far as I go with the franchise. Not supporting Tencent.

THIS. The back button attachment and assigning L3 to one of the paddles was clutch playing Jedi Fallen Order for me.

The premise for this sounds really cool. Still waiting on all of these to be bundled together before I get them.

When the back button attachment for the DS 4 was released I was playing Jedi Fallen Order. Mapping one of the back buttons as the run button was a life saver. I hate clicking in L3 to run. I'm excited I'll be able to do the same with this!

This is cool and all but I'd rather have a proper sequel to Bloodstained: RotN

Ok. I platinumed the one that came with the PS+ Collection. My nerves have reported they are not eager for a replay. Personally, I see both sides but, more than anything, I wish they would be consistent. When Sony originally announced they were going to leave upgrades to the devs/pubs I thought it was a good idea but after all of this it's turned out to be a massive headache

Ugh, I want to like these games. Back when FFTactics: War of the Lions came to PSP I got about 20 hours in and I let a character die because, hey, it's Final Fantasy. I'll just hit them with a Phoenix Down and we'll be good. But turned out, I missed something, or perma-death existed and I kind of died on the inside and put it down. I'll def give one a chance tho

Ehhhh, the only way I would have been ok with a stamina bar is if it worked similarly to his health during combat. Just as the color drains from the screen as his "luck is about to run out" and actually get shot, it would be interesting if his luck ran out while climbing and when he falls they showed a hand hold or foot hold giving out resulting in his fall.

I'm excited for the Last of Us show. I've tried to play it a couple of times but I end up not being in the mood for stealth/sneaking around and I move on to something else.

If the show's good, I'll probably finally play through the game.
