Project M Is a Ridiculously Good Looking Unreal Engine 5 Game Coming to Consoles

So my impressions of this: looks VERY Quantic Dream, but I don't think that's a bad thing, what I do think is a bad thing is that the environments look stunning - filmic quality even - but the characters have that Unreal 4 look to them and they don't gel with the scenes as much as I'd like. Is it just me?

Beautiful looking game.. but I can’t stand to be forced into subtitles.. I use subtitles a lot because I’m deaf in my right ear, but it’s more of a -did I hear that correctly- thing on occasion.. idk how I’m suppose to pay full attention to the graphics if my constantly having to read! More power to you guys who love it.. hope it’s as good as it is beautiful!

@Areus "revealed effort from South Korean publisher".. Yeah, I should have paid more attention.. haha.. but you´re right. I personally know very little about SK, so this is indeed a nice change.

@Gbarsotini I watched the anime first as it was out before the game here in the UK, but I inhaled the whole series in two days I was hooked from episode 1. I did then preorder the El Psy Congroo edition of the PS3 game from Rice Digital the second it went live so I got the numbers 1.130209, to symbolise: "no matter what people say that you can't do it alone, one person CAN change the future" (my Divergence Meter is over 1%). It was my 30th birthday present from my cool mum

If they want to sell this on next gen graphics then they seriously need to improve the lighting. I’m just not seeing the greatness here.

Coming to consoles & PC & not ending up looking as good as when it was first shown I bet (it happens all the time)

These kinds of games aren't usually my cup of tea but I do respect them. And this one is by a Korean studio, set in SK and using UE5 so it has my interest.

Makes me curious how a true next gen Yakuza game (or whatever studio RGG cooks up next) will look like. I assume they'd continue using their in house engine though.

I appreciate mention of Detroit because it was a superb game. Very underrated because of naive or woke critics who didn’t understand much of the story. Even push review didn’t know the difference between android and cyborg and thought androids similar faces were a bad thing when the whole point was appearance doesn’t matter 🙄.

After trudging multiple times through Heavy Rain for the platinum, I don't see myself playing another game in the same vein.

Game looks gorgeous though. Let's hope that is shows off some stunning developments in tech.

They seem to avoided the uncanny valley for now. Hopefully the final product also manages to achieve this.
