PS5 Pro users will apparently be spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a graphics mode in Final Fantasy 7 Revelation.
The highly anticipated RPG will seemingly feature four different settings on Sony's more expensive system — although one of them is clearly going to be the favourite.
Before I get stuck into the details, I should note that this information is based on a preview from Game Informer, who got to play a demo build at Tokyo Game Show. And so with that in mind, it's entirely possible that there'll be different options available in the finished release.

Still, as it stands, these are the four options:
- Quality (30 frames-per-second at maximum resolution, assumed native 4K)
- Performance - Sharp (60 frames-per-second with "sharper" image quality)
- Performance - Soft (60 frames-per-second with "softer" image quality)
- Currently unnamed PSSR mode (60 frames-per-second at upscaled 4K resolution)
This dedicated PSSR mode was confirmed by director Naoki Hamaguchi on social media:
Those familiar with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth may have experience with Performance - Sharp and Performance - Soft, as the two options were added post-launch.
And as far as I can tell, there's still no concrete consensus on what differences actually exist between Sharp and Soft. Going by Game Informer's preview, it's a similar story with Revelation.
But the currently unnamed mode, which utilises the Pro's PSSR upscaling tech, surely renders the other settings redundant (assuming that PSSR's implementation isn't botched, somehow).
I'm guessing that the first three modes — Quality and the two Performance options — will also be present on the base PS5.
