Rockstar has today unveiled GTA 6: The Goodtime State - Vice City Collection, which is sort of like a Collector's Edition.
It is priced at £349.99 / $399.99, it's available to pre-order now (with limited quantities available), and it does not include the game. You can pre-order through the link.
Here's how Rockstar pitches the expensive item: "A premium Collector’s Box featuring all the essentials for a good time, inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator." It's due to release on the same day as the PS5 title, 19th November 2026.

Oakley Frogskins Sunglasses

All that crap and no game and they want 400 for it? gtfo. Not one thing in there is worth more than 50-100 as it is.
I hate to bring it up, but does anyone else remember when your GTA game came in a box and had a cool poster map with it?
Now to get that map you're being asked to $400 because it's bundled in with a bunch of worthless ***** but no copy of the game.

Sunnys and hat are nice but not worth 350. Maybe if it had the limited vinyls aswell.
In fairness to them at least this comes with things I might actually use, not just the usual plastic landfill tat. Hat - Check; Sunglasses - Check; Shot glass - Check etc.

I get the no discs thing but I don’t think I’ll ever understand collectors editions not including the game.
Having said that, these will sell out…so I guess I understand.
I think the most expensive item in that collection is Oakley sunglasses which the cheapest one could cost around $130-170. The rest are cheap af items that i doubt all of them could cost $400 total.
The crazy thing is this collection doesn't even include the game. But R* understand their audience when they slap $80-100 for GTA 6. I bet someone will defend this sh*t like their life is on the line.
The Oakleys will be bumping the cost of this - they’ll be around £150-180 on their own.

I want literally nothing in that set. My heart did skip a beat when I saw the box/thumbnail. Then as I scrolled I felt it break. That's coming from someone who bought a set of Diablo 4 candles.
Yeah, the Oakley sunglasses are the most expensive thing in that box. There are Fortnite collab ones on the Oakley sight that go for like $220 right now, so definitely that.
Just a reminder to anyone who's blood pressures is skyrocketing: you are not obligated, required, or mandated by law to purchase this or anything else GTA related. You can look at this, just like I did, and go, "Nah, not for me" and move on with zero anxiety.
Also, what's with everyone's obsession with maps? They printed those things back in the day because in game maps kind of sucked. That isn't really a problem anymore.
Addendum: purchasing or not purchasing this also has no bearing on one's intelligence.

RDR2 fully sealed collector's boxes currently selling between £700 and £1000 on ebay in the last few months. That didn't have a game also.

If this doesn’t show the sorry state of gaming I’m not sure what will. At that price you don’t even get a digital code (which costs nothing to include) nevermind a physical disc. All that tat which can be bought for less than 100 bucks elsewhere and they still refuse to print a disk.

speaking from someone who waited in two ques one for San Andreas & the other Gta4 you can imagine my response.
If you're in the UK (actually they deliver globally) Super Rare games are selling a physical version of Dying Light The Beast, but you got untill Oct 16.
A collector's edition that doesn't include the game and the product images look like 3D renders, so who knows if the actual physical items will look this good in-person.

I'm annoyed I don't have the option to buy these digitally somewhere at a significant markup.
@Uromastryx Apparently the sunglasses are from a luxury brand, so that’s probably half of the cost
