@get2sammyb spot on there! It’s very frustrating as a gamer who loves single player games with some originality. I find most triple A games disappointing these days, you can have the best graphics in the world but if the gameplay isn’t fun what’s the point? I don’t want to watch a movie, I have Netflix for that.

This is one of if not my most anticipated game of the year. The first one is so good and the effort that has gone into this looks top rate!

Dreams is the reason I got a PS4. Shame that it’s not as popular as it should be. If this was on switch I can imagine it would be talked about non-stop! Still I’ve had so many hours of fun from this game, especially as a 3D platformer fan this is pretty much perfect for me.

@Th3solution loved the game myself, think it's one of those where like you say you have to make your own mind up. if I just read the comments on this thread I would have avoided it and ended up missing a game that I like!

Not seeing this great improvement being mentioned in the article. I will buy this game regardless as it looks fine but it's hardly mind blowing stuff is it! Don't see how all of us can be wrong or need glasses as the Pushsquare worker patronisingly told us!

Never played these but recently been getting into Skyrim and the Outer Worlds and this collection is suddenly my most anticipated game this year!

A bit dramatic to say all other controllers feel ancient!

The good thing is we have so much choice now that there is pretty much always something good out there that we haven’t played, no matter how much gaming we do!

Crash Racing for £12 is great for family kart racer. Think I’ll pick that one up at least

Pretty disappointing list to be honest, surprised there aren’t more interesting family games on the PS4 given how great the platform has been in general.

@JapaneseSonic yes but my point is people act like developers used today’s hardware 20 years ago. They didn’t, so it’s not an excuse just to say ‘oh well it’s more complex now so we need day 1 patches every time’. They beta tested whoever bought this game and you know it!

Well done to Sony! This was fraud by the way, no maybe about it. Really hope developers get the message, we would like games to be released when finished, sick of umpteen patches and memory doubling after release it’s a nightmare for storage and it also stops me buying new games at release. Technology isn’t an excuse, developers had to work with much worse hardware 20 years ago and pretty much all AAA games worked fine on release.

I’ll get this when it hits less than £20, imagine it will be sorted by then. Seems a great game under the bugs. What a great review btw, kudos to a games journalist actually doing some genuine journalism and not pandering to the popular vote or money.

One of the most freeing things about getting older is I lost that sense of ‘keeping up with the joneses’. No longer would I buy a game full price for myself fully knowing it will be less than half price in a couple of months. I don’t need to spend all my money chasing cars and women etc. PS5 looks great and it will be just as good in two years when I buy it . Games I’m playing at the moment Mario Kart 64, Doom 1, 2 and 2016, The Witcher 3 and Tetris effect. Love them all and couldn’t care less when they came out. It is hard keeping up now, not so much with buying and playing games but more with missing some great ones that come out, no longer is a game magazine enough. On the other hand let’s be honest, it’s a bleeding good problem to have!

Seems like this is getting a lot of negative comments, which I don’t get. Did people forget these guys made the Witcher 3?! Story should be immense and gameplay at least decent.

Pointless moaning about it, anyone with sense waits a few months as they always rapidly decline in value. Plus often you get an updated game with patches by that point.

@thefourfoldroot it’s amazing how people ignore PS Now, paid £35 for a year pass yesterday (my second year) I have not had any big issues with the streaming and there are lots of good games on there which get added to! I didn’t even know it existed for months as it’s so rarely mentioned but it’s a heck of a lot of value to someone like me who likes to try different games all the time. I bet there are a tonne of people who own a PS4 who have no idea it exists!

I think most sensible people will wait for the price to drop. When PS4 games regularly drop to £20 or less within a year I still get amazed at all the people that pay full price.

each to their own but I couldn't disagree more, that said i'm from the 90's so remember when masterpieces could be released without any more money being spent.

not a chance switch is perfect for indies handheld makes all the difference on these games they look amazing on that smaller screen!

There was something so special about being a part of the pioneer period of 3D gaming.
Can't you just appreciate that you can buy all the games you want now? I love gaming today but this article is a non starter and probably just borne out of nothing much to do or report on!

the problem is that I think only one of these is a game? people have a PS4 to play games. i'd love a really good list of the actual good levels/games that have been made, some way of rating them more than 'like or dislike' to make it easier to sort the wheat from the chaff. i love dreams but i can see why it has struggled to find the big market.

The reason I bought a PS4 a few months ago, it feels like you get new games every day with it! sure most are short one level games at the moment but it's great fun with huge variety. The best is yet to come too!

This game was the reason I bought a PS4 months ago and I am so pleased I did. The 3d platformer itch is being scratched and those dreams have a real N64 in 2020 feel about them! love it

Great game imo bought early access and sunk a lot of time into it. Then again I’m not the typical PS player and I think that this would do much better on Switch where gamers are more open to creativity and indie games, which is essentially what are going to be produced by dreams. I also love the late 90s platformer era and this has helped fill that hole for me. I don’t think it will be a commercial success on PS4 which is such a shame!

@Th3solution that's a shock to me, played it on a gamepass trial last week and it felt really clunky and didn't enjoy the relying on the multiplayer focus. If it was a single player game it could have been truly amazing but I guess Microsoft have live memberships to sell! Shame as Rare used to be my favourite.
