EA Sports continues to put its priorities in the right place, adding Dua Lipa as an unlockable player in FIFA 21. To be clear, that’s the New Rules singer and not some teenage Portuguese superstar that only soccer nerds have heard of. While the publisher’s yet to officially confirm the news, her model was datamined from a new PC patch.

But, wait – there’s more! Volta Football will be getting a bunch of new non-footballer faces, including Philadelphia 76ers centre Joel Embiid, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and the Greek Freak himself, Giannis Antetokounmpo. F1 hero Lewis Hamilton will also be tagging along for the ride, while at least David Beckham is an actual ex-footballer joining the fray.
EA Sports seems to be leaning hard into this celebrity crossover stuff, as Giannis and his brothers recently appeared in Madden NFL 21, while boxer Anthony Joshua was playable in both EA Sports UFC 4 and FIFA 21. How long before Joshua takes up virtual American football as well? He’s certainly got the physical profile for it!
