@Richnj OK so for cyberpunk to be more successful than spiderman ps4 it needs to sell more than 13million just on the ps4 alone. I can confidently say that cyberpunk ps4 sales won't be no where near the spiderman ps4 sales

@Richnj there's a lot of factors to play in, time period it's releases and other games coming out around the same time as I know cyberpunk has assassins creed/watch dogs/fifa/call of duty to contend with whilst avengers has what? , and also the fact kids will want to play a marvel game but doubt they would show interest in cyberpunk.

I would assume initial sales the avengers game will dwarf cyberpunks sales, whilst cyberpunk will gradually increase its sales over the next year

@Richnj you have a point but the witcher 3 is on the switch, ps4, xbox one and pc, whilst spiderman was just on ps4

@carlos82 the witcher was amazing and one of the best rpgs to me but at the same time not everyone who enjoyed the witcher will enjoy cyberpunk as they are two different styles, a traditional rpg with a fantasy setting with hack and slash and creatures vs a cyberpunk era with fps shooting and human/android enemies and vehicles.
This will seperate the witcher fan base so actually the amount of people actually interest in cyberpunk might be lower than we all think

@carlos82 you have to realise its Marvel and its fan base is way bigger than that of cyberpunk, but yeah I see where you're coming from, cyberpunk should be top of the list

What do people expect? Ps3 wasn't backwards compatible and it sold just fine, ps4 wasn't backwards compatible and it sold mega fine, so why would Sony change that now and go through more effort and recourses when they know it will still sell just fine (maybe mega fine) 😂

@Ah-Void I think it's easy for Nintendo to bring out 1st party games as they are easier to make, recycled assets, no voice acting, no motion capture, no real story scripts, simple graphics palette and most are ports

@TechaNinja exactly and more satisfied customers. But tbh its no where near as bad as mobile gaming, I mean £80 for currency just for a chance of getting a rare character

Cosmetics shouldn't cost £7.99 anyway, the cheaper it is the more people will buy it, so let's say 1 million people buy it at 7.99 vs 5 million people buy it at 2.99

Even though its a lower price more people will buy into it and in return making more money in the long run

It is a fun game and got my first win last night BUT they need to put the team games on a separate playlist, 90% of the time I lose is to a team game

The developer had plenty money from selling the first tomb raider of the trilogy. Microsoft saying they help funded it was just a better way of saying "we can help you out a little but it's got to be a xbox exclusive for a year" that's basically buying timed exclusiveness.

I'm pretty sure sony has help fund the spiderman inclusion in avengers

@TheFrenchiestFry where would you go to then as Microsoft are doing the same in terms of time exclusive games.
Only Nintendo atm have never done this and can't see them ever doing it

@TheFrenchiestFry it's just the developer and Sony being greedy but also a business strategy to gain more money and players.
I can't fault them, they saw a way to make more money and give people who own both consoles a reason to make sure they get the ps4 version. This timed exclusivity in content and whole games is indeed a load of BS but I'm afraid it's here to stay and will play a huge role on next gen and who comes out on top and given that the ps4 sold more than double the xbox one. Sony have a lot more money to play with in terms of buying exclusive content and time games

@TheFrenchiestFry that's understandable but if Sony paid square Enix to include spider man then I see no problem. If sony own the rights to use spiderman in gaming then why not use it

People quick to forget when xbox got tomb raider exclusive for a year, that was the starting point of this time exclusive war, xbox have themselves to blame

The team games really fustrate me in this game, almost fail at every team game, they really need to add a non team game playlist or mode

Well xbox have done it to quite a few actual games and next gen games already aswell, so I don't feel bad.

Probably some hidden requirement, like spending a certain amount of money on the store this year or maybe its only for those who have purchased a 12 month subscription etc

So because Microsoft is utterly s***t at making their own exclusives they are now buying exclusives rights from third parties

A free update is a rarity for a paid game, persona Royal and this game have proven that, same goes for the "extend" version of Blazblue games

Xbox was pretty poor tbh, nothing that made me think "wow" and the graphics for halo weren't that impressive, I've seen current gen games have better graphics

After watching the Xbox stream I can confirm that the ps4 is still the best place to play

So the trend of games going up £10 each gen surely has to stop at some point, imagine playstation 8 and Games cost £100

@Tharsman hmm interesting, I think all multiplayer games should be free to play especially games like overwatch and call of duty where you are alrwady paying £40 for the game and then £7 a month online which totals £124 for that year just to get and play overwatch.

I think ps plus should just be for free games and ps now included and for multiplayer to be free.
