I love VR and murder mysteries so this is a game right up my alley. I also really like the art style/poor animation,I think it makes the characters look almost like stop motion animation. Like if Aardman made an Agatha Christie game.
Missing some PSVR games. Mortal Blitz ,April 4 Symphony of the Machine, April 11 Statik, April 24 Polybius, April 28 Syndrome, April 28
Fantastic Contraption,Apollo 11 and Syren are set to release in April as well though I haven't heard any exact dates are yet.
I really wish you would step up your PSVR coverage. You have only a hand full of reviews and most of the games released already are not even in your database. I was genuinely surprised when I saw a Korix review from you.
Huh.I didn't know Lovers had a single player mode. Guess I'll try it out. I kind of wish they would just drop PS3 and Vita support other then cross buy and start giving us VR games. Although I have 10 second ninja on PC and it's actually pretty fun.
I've played the originals and If you you've never played any of the games before I would recommend this at any price. Virtue's Last Reward is one of the favorite Visual Novels of all time, probably surpassed only by Zero Time Dilemma.
I have to say though that if you've already played Virtue's Last Reward this probably isn't worth full price just for 999. It's connections to the sequels are pretty small and It may be that my memory of it could just be sullied by hating how the DS version had super slow text and made you replay the whole game to see the endings(I'm glad to hear they sped it up for the remake)but I didn't find the story to even come close to that of it's successors. It's still worth a playthrough at the right price though.
Looks cool but I wouldn't care much if it comes to PS4 or not because I game on my PC anyway and could just get it there.
Plus the dragging mechanic doesn't seem very well suited for a game pad even the touch pad doesn't work that great on as a mouse. Now the Vita touchscreen on the other hand seems like it would be a perfect fit.
I haven't bought it yet because had the chance to get a PSVR 10% off last Friday so my game budget is pretty tapped out. Now I have to choose between buying Horizon,Zelda or Nier.
I have the EDF PS4 remake and it's great. Been wanting to try Lumo. I love Blazblue and had never heard of Under Night: In-Birth but I imagine I will very much enjoy it as well. I have Tearaway on Vita but haven't played it since launch so I'll probably play through it again since the PS4 version is a little different. I've heard good things about Severed and an excuse to use my Vita again is never a bad thing. I don't hold much hope for Disc Jam.
I have Tearaway on Vita. Is Unfolded different enough to be worth a playthrough if I thought the Vita version was charming but a bit disappointing overall?
If this is true,I think Disc jam will be dead on arrival from apparently being rushed out the door with no time to build interest. No one had heard of the game before the Beta and almost no one knew about the Beta and it looks a bit stiff and cheap. If they don't already have a strong community at launch to find matches with it will be a ghost town in a month.
Great line-up this month. I have Titan Souls on PC and it's fantastic.
I've been putting off buying Day Of the Tentacle every time it came on sale because I was certain it would be a free plus game at some point,so it finally happening is joy.
I've also been wanting The Swindle to be a plus game because I'm sure I'll enjoy it but the mixed reviews always put me off buying it.
I've wanted to try This war of mine but never enough to buy it.
Never heard of Blazerush before but it's got good reviews and looks to be good arcadey fun.
Even Azkend 2 looks to be a competent if un-inspired Match three game, which is not a genre that's to everyone taste but I enjoy them and it looks decent at least.
I have invisible Inc and vvvvvv on PC. Invisible is fantastic,It alone makes this month worth it if you don't have it. vvvvvv is worth a playthrough . I've been waiting for Stories to get bundle or something so I'm pretty happy to get that.
EVERY TIME! You get me every time with these tweets. I get a second of excitement before the crushing disappointment as I remember it's for Europe. Can you please start putting EU in the tweet or something.
I think it's another great Update,Looks like that price hike really is bringing back some quality to the service.
I've been holding out on buying Rapture only because I thought it would be a free Plus game someday. I like cheesy Sci-Fi and arcade shooters so I'm eager to try out Deadly Tower of Monsters. I have Letter Quest on PC and it's great.
As someone who will not be able to get VR at launch but do plan on getting it eventually,I hope they do start including VR games even if they stop including old games.
Could it be the price hike is actually leading to an increase in quality?! Transformers and Code:Realize are probably the best games we've gotten all year. Resident Evil is great too but it's not for me. Even From Dust seems okay.
Makes sense, you can't really see the light if you're the one holding the controller so this will make it more visible to the player to see for the few games that actually use it for added effects(like Transistor did) .
I think it's actually pretty good this month.I'm looking forward to trying out Rebel Galaxy and Yakuza 5 . I already own Patapon 3 ,Ultratron and Retro Grade and think they are all good enough to deserve a play though.
It says all the Gamestop and Bestbuy near me will have VR to try starting the 24th. Gamestop will have it on Saturdays(except for one which has it on a Tuesday) and Bestbuy on Friday and Sunday. The limited time frames make me think there will actually be someone there who knows what they are doing to help show off the headset.
I've enjoyed Tropico games on the PC before but I don't have 5 so I'm happy to get that. And I do like a good arcade style game so Switch Galaxy Ultra is a plus for me as well. The Mobile version of Table Top Racing is pretty dull so I'm not holding out much hope that this one will be any better.
I'm taking a hard pass on the games this month. I already have Mass effect 2 on PC and beyond good and evil on PS2. All the other games don't interest me.
I don't think Sean would straight up lie but I'm still keeping my hope alive by thinking it could be released on the 29th ,the same day that Trails in the sky SC comes out. Because why would Trails not release with the normal store updates unless Sony is doing something special that day.
But seriously these games just aren't appealing to me. Now I'll admit that my only experience is trying the demos and Platinuming Golden Abyss. But I don't see how people can stand the boring, linear exploration and too easy shooting gallery style combat gameplay.
Climb this straight path, sit behind this cover and head shot enemies when they pop out.Wash,rinse,repeat. Plus the sluggish controls typical to a console shooter. It all just seems too dull for me.
Funny how NA is too ashamed to even post the full list in the blog post.
All in all not a bad month for me though.
I like Point and click style games so I've really been wanting to play Broken Age,The only reason I haven’t bought it yet is because I thought it be a Plus game at some point. As a game I would have actually paid money for this alone makes it worth the month for me.
Meat boy is a game I've owned for years on PC and I think N is a better game so Meh.
I own Unmechanical on PC so Meh.
Kick beat looks to be a decent rhythm game so a half point for that.
I feel the same way about Chariot that I do about Broken Age so two points for that.
Kung-Fu Rabbit just looks like trash though.Probably would have been better to have one less game then have this devalue the whole line up.
Still a pretty good value for just over $4 for the month.
@darkswabber I have Inattentive type ADHD so I understand the feeling. Though waiting for the announcement doesn't usually distract me,waiting for the store to update at some random time so I can download the new Plus games makes me pretty unproductive for the day.
I've had this on PC for a few years and played hundreds of hours of it. I'm still going to buy it on PS4 because it's so good and I've played it so much that the developers deserve to be paid twice.
Also as a side note I have to say I was a little shocked when they talked about getting people interested in space/science last night with Destiny/Bungie instead of this game which actually teaches real scientific principals and is even being used in schools.
@SunnyShores You need to download them from the store.I saw two free on there earlier.Paper sculpture and Rectangular.
The Paper one is a bit too busy looking for my taste and has harsh sound effects.
The rectangle one has a great Resogun look to it.I don't much care for the sound effects of this one either, but I'll get used to it because I really like the look.
I hope the real reason for the problem is that everyone is trying to download Freedom Wars.
Thankfully I was able to buy it and start the download before the network started crashing. My download has stopped a few times but it's almost finished now.

Why bad mouthing Under-Night In-Birth Exe:Late? it's a very well reviewed 2d fighter/visual novel in the style of BlazBlue from makers of BlazBlue.
