Your Free PS4 PlayStation Plus Games for November Include Magicka 2, The Walking Dead

I have a feeling that we will not see the PS3 and Vita line up until next week. This video screams "quick guys lets get something out there before people start to riot!"

Well I bought Season 2 of the Walking Dead about 3 days ago as they put it on sale on PSN, so I'm a bit miffed about that. Basically trying to trick people into buying a game they're interested in just before it arrives on the subscription service.
Magicka 2 looks interesting, just glad I didn't buy that in a recent sale as well.

@get2sammyb Do you get the feeling that if the post goes live today it will be scheduled for after 5pm when everyone has left the office for the weekend?

@get2sammyb Yes, you're right, I should have considered that, seems quite likely now I think on it. They usually have a couple of brand new games on PS+ so clearly planned in advance but this month looks like it might be different.

Well, it's a good month for me then. I've played TWD Season 1 on the PS3 and kept postponing buying Season 2 for the PS4.

Smart move to give season 2 away; who on earth will play that without first buying season 1? People who also own an Xbox One I guess

It's an unwritten rule of thumb that if it gets a discount on the store it's heading for PS+ sooner rather than later.

Geez, this is crappier than November's Games with Gold. I hate games that just show cinematics for most of it. In fact all of the Telltale games are all rubbish. If I wanted to read a book, I'd read a fricking book.

I have already played the Walking Dead Season 2 and that is the problem with a popular game. I'll give Magicka 2 a go as it is free and see if I like it.

Disappointed with the Vita offerings, they seem pretty poor to be honest, happy with picking up Magicka 2 though for PS4, always wanted to try it out as it looks kinda interesting for a Plus game, never played a Telltale game as they don't really interest me so I guess it's nice I can give one of their games a whirl this line-up and the way they've gone about announcing it does strongly suggest last-minute organising, maybe devs aren't as keen on supplying Plus with their games as they used to be?
Edit: just check out a trailer for Dragon Fin Soup and it actually looks pretty cool, Vita offering might not be so bad after all, overall the line-up looks pretty solid

Strong line up I think. I don't own Magicka 2 or Dragon Fin Soup so looking forward to playing both of those.

Beyond Good and Evil is incredible!!! One of my faves!! Envious of the people who have still to play it!!! Might give Walking Dead another playthrough, only played it on PS3!!! Wish they put in Resi HD Remaster!!! Wouldve been a nice Halloween Treat!!!

Mass Effect 2 is the best game there by an absolute mile.

Not interested in any of the PS4 games but bloody hell is that an excellent PS3 line up. Mass Effect 2 is a must play and Beyond Good and Evil is a classic

Bit crap to give TWD season 2?? Why not season 1?(Don't like telltale games anyway) And Magicka doesn't look like my thing. Never heard of the Vita games? Some more to add to the library that I will either play 10 minutes off or never play... Don't see why they couldn't give us Theif since Asia got it!

@LieutenantFatman TWD season 1 was on sale, PS+ game is SEASON 2!!! so this has worked out quite well for you actually.

is TWD cross buy (or whatever its called) its the ps4 title but does that mean i get it on vita also? i hope so, i refuse to play those games with a controller, SO much more intuitive using touch screen.

I haven't much to say on this. It's not a bad lineup but it's nothing great. Even by this year's standards.

I'm taking a hard pass on the games this month.
I already have Mass effect 2 on PC and beyond good and evil on PS2. All the other games don't interest me.

TWD will appeal to most at least.

Happy to play twds2 again. Didn't really appreciate it on xbox due to my all encompassing job at the time. Now I can kick back and watch clementine kick some butt!! Is this the season where she puts her arm back together? That part was sick. Literally all over my shoes 👞

Well my sub has lapsed, I'm glad I didn't renew straight away, I already have the Mass Effect trilogy (still need to play it mind you) and have Walking Dead S2 on PS4 already, the other games don't interest me at all.

I can't believe people still bitch about PS+. Before Sony's initiative, there were no free games from any console manufacturer. Sony took the lead, Microsoft followed, and all they get for it is grief. We're talking $5 a month! That money isn't for free games, it's to maintain and improve their online infrastructure. If you want to bitch about that, fine. The free games and discounts are bonuses. I swear, Sony could give away Bloodborne, Until Dawn, and Uncharted 4 all in the same month. And people would STILL bitch! Gaming isn't a cheap hobby. If you expect ANY console maker to fund your AAA gaming needs, you're just going to be sour period. There's a market specifically for your income level and mentality: mobile.

Well they gave ME3 if I'm not mistaken, so they should give us ME1 too so we could play the whole trilogy

I have most of these all ready. That said Mass Effect 2 in in my top 5 ever list so more people getting to play it is fine by me.

to be honest not many of the ps4 ps plus games have been interesting for me.
Xbox fairs no better with its gold line.
some games they've put out have been great games,but i generally already own them!..i still would like to see knack as a freebie...

Dragon Fin Soup looks really good, actually. I hadn't heard of it before but I've played Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, which the name seems to be a reference too, especially since they're both roguelikes. This is actually the kind of game I want out of PS+. I've said it before, but if they offer a big mainstream game that's been out for 2+ years already, it's going to be already owned by most people.

Like, it'd seem cool if they gave away Fallout 4 in late 2017 but who the hell wouldn't have played it by then? People that aren't too bothered by it, mainly. It's also worth noting that Dragon Fin Soup isn't even out yet, like with Rocket League it's a game that's free at launch with PS+.

Case in point of my "AAA" criticism, there's gotta be about 5 people in the whole world who want to play ME2 but haven't even bought it yet. Of course, the same can also be true of indie games, like Super Meat Boy for last month's offering.

I haven't played season 1 of TWD, am I ok to jump into season 2?

@SouthTippBass You should play Season 1 first. Just wait for it to go on sale. I bought it a few months ago for $2-4 I think. Just put season 2 on the back burner. I am most interested in Dragon Fin Soup. It looks like a fun old school rpg.

Pretty happy with the PS3 options. Didn't game much in that era (but had a PS3) so I never played those games.

The telltale series have been on sale almost every week/month, sometimes only season 1 and other times more.

I picked up S1 of TWD and GOT when they where on one those sales a month ago or something.

I generally hold off from buying small games/indies etc. as I know I'll be kicking myself if it comes on PS+ soon.

This month would be much better if I could play all of the games on my PS4. That is what Xbox is doing starting in November. You can play all of the games on X1. This way next gen fans who've sold their last consoles aren't getting screwed.

This month's game's are pretty good, last month's were terrible i'll try them both Magika look's pretty good and TWD look's like an half decent time filler I love the show anyway (won't be buying the first episode though).

I bought walking dead s1. It's way better than the tv series, more like the books (which are awesome). I'm pretty chuffed about TWD s2 being on there if I'm honest. If I hadn't played Mass Effect 2 then this would be an excellent month for me.

@slampog Still waiting on the reason why you that Sony charges us for PS+ to keep the servers running, yet Valve doesnt ask me anything and its only getting better and better...

For all i know, its just a cheap way to take more money out of their consumers

@slampog There was an argument for this back in the days of the C64 and Spectrum, with magazines giving away free games. Publishers said that it would undervalue the industry and people wouldn't bother buying games, or would expect a AAA title for the price of a budget one.

Reading the comments every month when PS publish the list, I'm seeing their point...
