Re: New Mortal Kombat 11 Character Trailer Shows Off Shao Kahn

malbhet

I'll just wait for a complete version, if they don't release a complete version then I'll pass. Tired of this pre order nonsense for content that everyone who bought the game should have access to, and these fighting games are out of control with these fighter season passes, especially Japanese fighting games.
This is why fighting games are a joke now.

Re: PS5 Specs Expand to Ray Tracing, Bringing Hollywood Effects to the Home

malbhet

I find it funny that the one issue that should be dealt with may still plague ps5 and that is framerate. We are well beyond the point of 60fps being the minimum yet none of these issues have been addressed and I fear the ps5 may still be stuck below the 60fps mark while other platforms at least do 60+fps at 1440p or higher.
I complain now but as soon as Bloodborne 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn 2 releases I'll be the first one pre ordering.

Re: Is Capcom Teasing a Resident Evil 3 Remake?

malbhet

This is old info and everyone familiar with RE3 know full well it was Nemesis chasing Jill Valentine throughout the entire game by busting through walls and windows. You can watch youtube speedruns of it now.
We all know RE3 is coming I'm just sick and tired of these companies using teasing tactics for worthless hype and wish they would just get to the announcement and stop wasting everyone else's time, in fact I wish all devs would stop this teasing BS and just announce their games when it's ready to be shown rather than pulling crap like this.

Re: Sony's Digital Refund Policy Takes a Welcome Step Forward

malbhet

Don't get your hopes up about Sony's refund policy. As more service based games release in a broken state and more people request a refund for their digital purchase Sony will cut this refund crap real quick. Another reason why buying physical is preferable over digital, if a game is terrible I can return it for a full refund or trade it and get some of my money back, not that I would make a mistake like buying Anthem or FO76 because those games were waving red flags all over the place as being terrible.

Re: Soapbox: Sony's Server Shutdown Strategy Is Making the Publisher a Laughing Stock

malbhet

When gamers cheer on online only services and and buy into the disaster that is known as service based games then this is what you get, server shutdowns soon after games release.
Everyone was warned about this happening and yet people still went along with it. Enjoy your service based games that will have half of its features taken away a year after release thanks to servers being shut down, you all wanted and asked for this by supporting this behavior.

Re: Bonkers Rumour Suggests That From Software Is Working with George R.R. Martin on New Game

malbhet

This is old news that was leaked last year. It was already leaked that a Song of Ice and Fire game was planned, the only information we didn't have was who would be the developer.
How is it possible that I, a person who only glanced over one old leak about this a year ago, managed to figure this out while so-called "game journalist" couldn't put two and two together, how am I better at being a game journalist than actual game journalist?!
people were talking about retailers even listing it up as a Bethesda game last September
https://www.xboxtavern.com/a-game-of-thrones-open-world-rpg-would-work-so-well/
Now we know it is From Software developing it now, not Bethesda.
You guys need to get better at figuring this crap out asap.

Re: Senran Kagura Producer Quits, Largely Blames Rise in Gaming Censorship

malbhet

@Flaming_Kaiser I must agree no grown man in the US would be caught dead playing these games in public, especially if the character look like hyper sexualized school kids. These type of games will get you killed in public, or at the very least labeled as a pedo and beat down by many where I'm from.
Imo I honestly thought these games were made for high school teens ages 17-19. I don't think there would have been much trouble if the dev made them look older and not some middle to high school kids, but what do I know, I don't play these type of games anyway.

Re: Senran Kagura Producer Quits, Largely Blames Rise in Gaming Censorship

malbhet

@AlejandroMora Sony is responsible for the insane censorship on their platform. I'm saying this dev probably would love to release it on other platforms but he can't because that choice is up to the publisher which is the CEO of Marvelous.
The Senran Kagura games have released on the 3ds but for some idiotic reason Marvelous prefer Playstation and PC with Nintendo being an afterthought later down the line.
Marvelous must have some exclusive deal with Sony which would explain his frustration with being censored and leaving the company. I won't be surprised if he decides to make a similarly erotic beat 'em up style game that isn't a Senran game for another company as a multiplat, we'll see.

Re: Quantum Break Developer Remedy's Control Has PS4 Exclusive Content

malbhet

@Flaming_Kaiser Fomo = fear of missing out.
Every single publisher is releasing games with content that becomes inaccessible unless you pre order, content like pre order quests that should be available to everyone who buy the game.
More companies are keeping content from those who aren't gullible enough to buy their game before it even releases to the public. It's so bad now that you can't even own the full game regardless of how much money you give these companies, if you don't pay for it before it releases you miss out, sad part is no one sees a problem with this.
No other industry does this but the gaming industry.

Re: Final Fantasy XV's Final DLC Is Finally Out Now

malbhet

I bet SE was going to sell a true ending through the last two canceled dlc episodes. between this and their idea of making FFX-X2HD on pc always online I seriously see Square Enix ending up at the bottom given how they are just running FF and Tomb Raider into the ground.
They need to work on some of their older IPs that hasn't seen the light of day in years, like a new Parasite Eve or better yet something out of nowhere like a brand new Secret of Evermore.
I would kill to see Secret of Evermore make a comeback.

Re: February 2019 NPD: ANTHEM Lands BioWare's Second Highest US Launch

malbhet

@ShogunRok There are a lot of very gullible gamers out there that don't grasp the concept of quality, at this point I'm not surprised the two worst games are at the top.
Can you really be surprised since there are still people who buy and defend COD and BF to this very day after everything that's happened with those games, let alone Anthem and Jump Force, hell I've just finished reading some moron's comment who was defending DoA6 $96+ first season pass.

Re: Yakuza Studio Has Gone the Extra Mile for Judgment's Localisation

malbhet

I'll play through it multiple times in both languages to see if English voice acting has gotten better in the past 5 years. We all know how terrible the average english voice actor has been for every single localized game, so bad that petitions have been started for a plethora of games to maintain dual audio because of bad english voice acting, look at every jrpg with english dub as an example.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy a Disc-Less PS4 Console?

malbhet

@MinerWilly Remember when publishers lied to everyone about digital games being cheaper? Notice how these 3rd party publishers suddenly stopped making that idiotic argument.
Publishers are complete liars, just look at how their new lies about microtransactions in retail priced games are are being debunked as fast climate change deniers lol:D

Re: Talking Point: Would You Buy a Disc-Less PS4 Console?

malbhet

The nays have it.
Pros of physical are....
You own your purchase
You can play your games without worries of your purchases being taken from you through a banned profile.
You can borrow your friends copy for free without risking your profile information getting out.
You don't have to worry about data caps when trying to play a new game.
Your library of games won't be stuck on a single console.
Physical games never disappear unlike many digital only games that I wish to play but can't due to licence issues, like Scott Pilgrim VS the World and PT.
You have a fine ass library of decent cases to show off.
Btw have any of you ever had you console break on you to the point where you can't even backup your library of games? I have and I will NEVER buy another digital only game ever again.

Re: BioWare Is Aware of ANTHEM's PS4 Crashing and Console Bricking Issues

malbhet

Goodbye Bioware, we all know EA isn't gonna take the blame for forcing this game out the door too early LOL:D
Tbh I'm not gonna miss Bioware, it isn't even the same Bioware that created the first 2 ME games or Dragon Age, most of the devs that gave those games the quality they have are long gone.
Bioware is now like Square Enix, the devs who made their games great now work elsewhere, like how the creator of the FF series left to work at Mistwalker studio to create one of the best RPGs on the wii, the Last Story.
I'm pretty sure we'll see true spiritual successors to the ME games come from veterans who left Bioware in order to create the games they want without EA's greedy meddling.

Re: Guide: Mortal Kombat 11 - All Confirmed Characters

malbhet

I'll try Geras out, he seems like a fun character to use.
I could have sworn there was a bald female character shown at the end of the very first MK11 reveal trailer?
That is unless they are going to do something stupid like make her an unplayable boss which I thought devs would have learned their lesson of not doing by now.
Update: Kronika, her name is Kronika and it seems they are making her into an unplayable boss which is very stupid given how stingy fighting games are with characters today.

Re: Sony Gifts The Order: 1886 Developer a Replica Tesla Rifle from the Game

malbhet

They should continue and make a sequel, but this time rectify the issues everyone had with the first one, like a longer campaign, better ending or multiple endings, and cut out the quick time events or at the very least make quick time events as satisfying as God of War and Doom.
This game has a lot of potential, problem is the devs focused to much on the visuals over everything else that should have mattered.

Re: Final Fantasy XV's Episode Ardyn Release Date Reminds Us Square Enix Is Still Working on This Game

malbhet

@Stompin89 I'm pretty certain SE is going to seperate this dlc from the Royal edition's season pass and make everyone who is still interested pay for it, remember this was supposed to be apart of a second season pass but the last two episodes of the second season pass were canceled.
I know one thing this FF game killed the franchise for me completely. I haven't bought a FF game since FFX, but I at least kept my eye on new entries, that is until this trash was unleashed onto the public like a savage coke driven mad dog sniffing out every cent SE could ever dream of from fans wallets O_O

Re: Final Fantasy XV's Episode Ardyn Release Date Reminds Us Square Enix Is Still Working on This Game

malbhet

This game was a complete hot mess from the very beginning when it was first called Final Fantasy Versus XIII up to its unfinished story/final dlc. I'm glad I skipped this crap, the gameplay and story looked boring, the only redeeming qualities of this game is its visuals.
What makes this game even worse is SE were most likely going to sell the true ending in its canceled dlc, this is another reason why SE is complete trash, always canceling their dlc for their biggest releases and never finishing the stories, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided anyone?

Re: Sony Says Devs Only Have to Ask for Console Cross-Play, Studios Say It's Lying

malbhet

@misterMike You are aware that was 3rd party devs doing that because the ps3's architecture was a complete mess to design for right, hence they charged people because dedicated servers on the ps3 were built specifically for the ps3 platform. You must be truly clueless to not understand that fact.
Btw the only reason Sony is charging for online is because morons were willing to pay for it. Sony isn't doing anything differently with the ps4 online that they haven't done on the ps3, they just decided to charge for it with no added benefits!

Re: Devil May Cry 5 PS4 Demo Out Now in Europe

malbhet

So glad I have 3 accounts, one for the states, one for Europe, and finally my Japan account. Doesn't matter which region or if it's digital only, I have access to almost every game and its dlc, except ps4 games developed for the chinese market that is.

Re: Senran Kagura 7EVEN Impossible to Release After Sony Censorship Row

malbhet

@Porco First thing first I mean instead of catering only to children with mario games they are trying to get more games like Bayonetta and other M-A rated games.
Btw given how you seem to be acting like a child I don't think you're old enough to even take part in an adult conversation given your inability to leave a comment that doesn't come off as sarcastic. You need to grow up and get over yourself, it's just a game.

Re: Senran Kagura 7EVEN Impossible to Release After Sony Censorship Row

malbhet

@tudsworth my thoughts exactly, hell this series will definitely sell better on that platform tbh.
It's not Sony JP forcing these regulations, but rather Sony US, and since Sony decided to go full retard and make Sony US its main HQ that meant Sony US has final say so over every censorship regulation from now on, including games released in Japan.
Nintendo doesn't have to abide by the same rules because their HQ is still based in Japan, also Nintendo is now trying to get a more mature audience on their platform.

Re: Sony: Our Players Demand Single Player Games

malbhet

I don't mind multiplayer in single player games, hell the Soulsborne series are the only games that pulled it off perfectly tbh, but when companies try to shoehorn in a single player mode/training mode into their multiplayer focused crap then I have a problem with it.
I don't understand how past games, like GoldenEye, managed to get single player and multiplayer so right on its first try yet the devs today can't even figure out how to make single player or multiplayer work, even when their games only have single player or just multiplayer.
Triple A publishers and developers today are truly creatively lazy.
