Over the last hour or so, reports have started flooding in that the PlayStation Network is gradually falling to bits. It started with people saying they couldn't access the PlayStation Store (and at the time of writing, that's the only issue that the official PlayStation website acknowledges), but now players are being booted from their online games.
The other main issue at the moment appears to be that users are unable to restore licenses for their digital titles. Before the process completes, many are being met with a maintenance error message, so they're essentially locked out of their own software until things get resolved. Hopefully that'll be sooner rather than later.
But yeah, if you're having problems, know that you're not alone and give us a status report in the comments section below.

No prbs here so far just playing Divinity Original Sin 2 with online co op
Man, this is kinda what worries me about an all digital future. It relies upon consistent and flawless infrastructure. Nothing more frustrating than not being able to play a game that you’ve bought.
Playing Battlefield V online in Australia, all good here.
Damn, just as I'm trying to improve my Tekken skills 😂 Negan's a badass. Hopefully everything'll be resolved by the time I get off work.
This is why it’s always good to have physical copies. Digital is too risky for me. I haven’t tried yet, but I’m going to see if I’m having this issue.
Everything seems to be alright on my end. Whatever this issue is, hopefully it will get resolved for those having problems.
I have my PS4 hooked up to my tele and nothing else, so I’ve got no plan B if my PS4 stops working. I haven’t been able to launch anything all night, so I ended up just watching a Blu Ray, the one thing I could control.
For what it’s worth this seems to be affecting non-primary PS4’s.
At least these stories about PSN are a lot less frequent than they once were.
Still not good though. Glad I still buy 80% of my games physically...
Let's blame Anthem.
Smh and people TRUST these companies to "keep" their digital purchases.. this is why physical is always better.
You guys do realize the only way you get locked out of your digital purchases when PSN is being wonky is if you're stupidly sharing your account and your system isn't set as the primary system for your account...
Well done Rob for posting this article in the middle of the night 👍

Yup, lets all keep cheerleading for the all-digital future.
All the while, my physical copy of Horizon Zero Dawn remains unaffected by this issue. All hail the survival of the physical medium
Probably because of Anthem, or F76, lol
Big reports of Facebook down too, I wonder if North Korea is having a go at a Cyber attack in response to Trump not lifting sanctions.
Don't mind about Facebook, but leave PSN alone!
I love how people are blowing things out of proportion. It has affected some people and it rarely happens but somehow this is somehow indicative of what will happen to all digital purchases one day in the future.
k.
First Facebook, now this? Oh no, the billion dollar companies are going to lose some money!
Wouldn't be surprised if there's some form of concerted cyber attack going on. Some are having trouble with PSN, yesterday people were having trouble with Facebook and Instagram, and even relatively new social site MeWe was very briefly unavailable.
I had this happen once. I immediately made my living room PS4 my primary. It’s never happened again. My son is more into FPS games anyway, so he doesn’t need access to my library.
East of the Mississippi here and all is ok. For now.
Lots of people who have no idea how digital works on here. I've had my PS3 unplugged from the internet for years and every digital title I bought still works and always have. If it's a title you got through PS+ then that's a different matter. But don't forget physical discs fail eventually.
Enjoy your digital only future, it's what you all asked for so expect this to happen a lot. This is why I buy physical only and prefer offline modes.
@malbhet I will indeed. Have been totally digital for going on 10 years without a single issue with any of the hundred plus games I've bought. You enjoy your ignorance as to how digital purchases actually work.
The entire UI, and trophy pops have been running like garbage since the latest firmware update
Physical all the way whenever possible.
Just thought I'd mention that I had a slight problem last night. With my Sims 4 dlc not showing up, and my other digital goodies. I checked my ps4 license, and made my ps4 the primary. (to be honest I thought it was already my primary) Which totally worked. I understand people like their physical copies. I do too with special editions, but apart from this one hip up, I've never had an issue with digital purchases.
@Eldritch my upvotes compared to you downvotes says it all.
@malbhet You've got me there. In this day and age it does indeed seem that the truth comes from how many people like the idea, rather than being based on facts. Which means you can be happy and correct despite being factually ignorant to how digital purchases work.
