i mean i’m pretty sure the ps5 will still be supported by a lot of games maybe 5 years in to the ps6 cycle so i’m not even worried about buying a potentially overpriced ps6 immediately whenever it is recently released

my personal issue with nintendo is all about political reasons how they’re so conservative that’s why i’m very anti nintendo

i mean sony isn’t a great company either but nintendo is just straight up awful how they’re targeting small pokemon rom hack creators for instance
also the fact how they’re after roms too goes to my on to my nerves
none of my views correlates how nintendo operates as a company that’s why i just hate them

i personally never understood nintendo’s appeal
i mean sure you have your own good exclusives on there but i feel like playstation’s exclusives have been a lot better than what they do since a while
really hope hope nintendo keeps not being successful in the uk so more people can play a better console

my bold claim is this game will end up similiar to assassin's creed and will flop because of it

the press will probably compare it to ac once it comes out

kinda surprising these extremely specific jrpgs of a rather unknown ip (in the west) are this successful that they can plan so far ahead

the remakes are probably very cheap for them to make

i mean seeing how well shadows sold and it still being not enough for it to finance free updates is insane

my big guess is shadows was probably not even that expensive to make ubisoft is straight up being greedy here

it’s just the switch and switch 2 are both way more popular with the japanese as they value the portability of the console a lot

if the rumours really come to be true and playstation brings out its own handheld then nintendo will begin to sweat

really happy about that

my bold claim as to why the digital edition version of the ps5 now is so successful is probably not only because of the lower price but probably also because a lot of people play free to play titles and buying a digital game only happens once in a while

i’m pretty happy about the shift towards digital too in japan as japanese people have been notorious to like physical media for a long time now

if i was a loyal xbox customer i would be so pissed at this entire situation i hope even the most hardcore loyal ones at this point turn away from xbox

@ElectricWizard real world performance of games have shown all third party games run more or less the same on both series x and ps5
so that 5 more or so tflops the series x has does nothing for the performance of most games

it’s pretty insane how these high prices for xboxes make the consumer feel like (at least me) that the console is really worth that money but in reality all the xboxes are complete ***** deals for the prices they are all offered at

people shouldn’t be dumb enough to buy any series console at all anymore especially now because it now costs more and you can get all xbox games on playstation too

gamepass isnt even that attractive anymore either xbox literally screws their loyal fanbase completely over with how they’re doing things now

guys please throw your series console if you have one in the bin and get a ps5 at least sony cares about good will to their customers

nintendo in japan has a better holding because the exclusive nintendo games are way more interesting to the players there

even if call of duty as a franchise would fail i wouldn’t care about it at all

so i’m just wondering with articles like these if we the readers are supposed to feel bad about bad sales from a publisher who is worth billions where now they voluntarily decided to offer a bad product

why bother make a good game when they can expect people to buy it anyways, right?

i would be down for sony handling its first party games the same way nintendo does where all 1st party games are exclusive to the console

other than helldivers 2 i don’t really think any ps5 pc ports sells well anyways as they tend to require very high end hardware and most pc players according to steam hardware survey have a rtx 3060 or 4060 which is barely enough for 1080p high settings for 1st party single player playstation titles

i mean i’m totally fine with ai use in games but only of it the use of ai is done with effort and not as sloppily like treyarch did now

i mean doing the effort to make their art in line with all the other art with people also actually checking the creations should have been the least they should have done but this is really disappointing as it shows they really don’t care

the game barely cost 100M so it made the costs back and an additional 150M

looking at infinity nikki unreal engine 5 doesn’t necessarily mean the game has to look close to realism

why does the developer always have to make games easy for losers like you who care about 100%ing games

either cry that you suck at games or just get ***** good

this is why aaa game makers rather play it safe than take on risks because they have way too much to lose
on a side note infamous would totally fail to sale today even back then infamous didnt fo any huge numbers so i’m glad they don’t take on that risk

it goes to show that mr benzies really wasn’t a nice guy to work with and that mr benzies success with whatever gta games he worked on was just pure puck at this point

i lost all respect for him and really hope benzies never makes a game again

@get2sammyb the reason why non skill based matchmaking is a “good” is because players who are good who continously match up with other good players don’t win as much as they would like so that’s why by making the matchmaking completely random those skilled players will win way more as they will play more so against newer or not so good players

in my humble opinion this is just straight up dumb as the reason why skill based matchmaking exist in the first place is to make the game more fair to everybody but i mean if they appeal to the good players more they’ll obviously make additional money off of them as they’ll likely cash in to the game

games which voluntarily don’t do skill based matchmaking are just so desperate and i’ll never play them

i’m glad i don’t care one bit about fortnite so i’ll joyously ignore it

as someone who mainly buys games that are in the at high 80s, mid 80s at least on metacritic i feel like i don’t need user reviews

what the point of it is if those reviews are only on the webpage
many people browse the store on their consoles so not being able to see reviews really defeats the purpose

the line about sony competing with not only the switch 2 but also with all forms of entertainment kinda made me feel a but guilty as i watch a lot of youtube videos and also lots of anime so it limits my gaming time

but i mean it is what it is my own fault being too lazy with games and stuff recently

i mean i really doubt this particular game would even be bug infested like the oblivion remake this year
but who knows anything can happen

i will probably not preorder it because as a very skeptical person i will be waiting for reviews and see whether or not it’s actually good

but from all the positive news about it it’s very likely going to be a good remake so i will end up buying it

i kinda like the direction crown prince of saudi arabia is going with this to make the economy there less reliant on oil

and the fact that ea is one of my least liked publishers i don’t even care that they buy it or what they do with it

ea is such an inherently evil microtransactions rotted publisher it’s just a shame people are giving them money for ea sports fc or other sports games, sims etc

it makes me think are people really that not so smart to keep feeding money hungry corporations even more money?

i would be fine with any remake.
i don’t know anything about metal gear solid but maybe the 4th game next as a remake doesnt sound bad

i recently started nioh and i got to the very first boss and i struggled so much that i summoned a player and finally got through it with that person’s help and the game opened up to me.
i like it so far and i will be mainly playing that one for now.

i mean they also have the game pass deal so there is probably a lot of people playing on there who didn’t buy it

sure it’s not really a huge number of sales but still happy about it

but this kind of worries me that their next game will be more vulnerable to failure as it will probably have a way higher budget and god knows if they will be successful like with this game with their next release

i mean lets be honest these types of jrpgs don’t even require one ounce of skill anyways so that’s great they add that on the other hand it is part of the experience to you know grind what feels like an eternity for levels or rare items so yeah i get that too

they clearly want to make the game easier for people and i gotta admit i don’t like that

if you don’t have the time or the patience or the skill for the full experience then just dont play it

at that point you could just watch all story cutscenes on youtube

is it me or is helldivers 2 really a game for ultra patriotic people to simulate sort of a reality where they are soldiers for their father country and fight the evil?

there’s unfortunately many people with this kind of mindset so it saddens me that helldivers 2 really is that popular

honestly i wish it would’ve died like concord did no one needs a game focusing on patriotism like that so much in the gaming industry

i will never play such a game and i hope the game dies sooner than later

i mean sure a lot of stuff bungie did can be criticized and the fact they took away content from the players is also a huge mistake

also as a rather new player myself you can’t get in to it at all that well

you’re just meant to mindlessly do the activities the game throws at you without you questioning anything and keep grinding for better weapons and armor

unfortunately the game doesn’t really highlights its story which is honestly a shame but i mean bungie sees their numbers so they probably know what they are doing

it sucks how so many people only play these type of games but don’t play true games

i was actually looking forward for this game but the middling review scores kept me from getting it
i plan to get it whenever it is cheaper

really hope despite the flaws the game has the developer can keep existing

it baffles me how much japanese value handheld gaming
sony if they do it correctly will probably be successful in japan with their rumored handheld console
then again it just nintendo which is immensely popular not even a popular handheld like the steam deck is nearly as popular as the nintendo consoles

i don’t think that many xbox users buy games so i don’t really think it really is as high as one might think
sony should’ve made a gamepass deal with microsoft too

i’m intrigued by genshin impact and after having clocked in 200 hours almost in infinity nikki i need a new one to play

if helldivers 2 really only sold less than half that it did on pc i’m very disappointed as a main console player

this confirms that the main audience of ps5 players only plays the same 10 free to play games

technically if you play fortnite or genshin impact you just get a complete game for free without ever having to pay a dime for it so why bother buying a 70 dollars game?

this also means the playstation store front really doesn’t sell as many games as you probably think it does and physical sales are even lower than those so console gaming really seems to be dying

on steam most third party new releases are 60 dollars compared to 70 on play station and that 10 dollars less sells way more games on there

i’m not rich or anything despite that to me 10 dollars isnt that much of a difference and to just see how stingy people are due to little things like this come on man it depresses me even more

it’s annoying to see the same damn games in the top selling lists
i know i’m personally a big hermit and quite disconnnected from the casuals gamers but how come minecraft, rdr 2, gta 5 are still selling

my big guess is that many people get banned in these games and to keep feeding their need to keep playing those games online they make a new account, subscribe to ps plus again and buy a fresh new copy of those games
and this cycle repeats itself for them regularly
