Capcom Embraces 'Pragmata Is Secretly Mega Man' Conspiracy with Brilliant April Fool Gag 1

Capcom might have just delivered the ideal April Fool's Day joke to fans of the upcoming sci-fi shooter, Pragmata.

For a long time now, there's been a pretty wild theory that the game is only masquerading as a new IP, and is actually a Mega Man game.

Fans have been pointing to various signs that this is the case, mostly surrounding protagonist Hugh's android companion, Diana.

The fact she's a robot, her blue coat, the shape of the sleeves, the game's plot about a moon base overrun by machines — it all adds up, right?

Well, obviously, Capcom has debunked this as nonsense. Pragmata has nothing to do with Mega Man, or so they say.

However, it seems the publisher isn't shying away from the fan theory, as it just posted this silly gag on its social channels:

The joke has caused some fun reactions from fans; many want Hugh's Mega Man outfit included in the game for real.

Whether that happens or not is another matter, but it might be a fun nod to the theories if Capcom does throw in some Mega Man Easter eggs.
