It's all go at Bloober Team right now.
The studio, which specialises in horror games and is perhaps best known for its remake of Silent Hill 2, is expanding its leadership, GamesIndustry.biz reports.
It seems the main reason behind the growth is to evolve Bloober Team into a multi-game studio. According to the report, the company has seven games in various stages of development, including the already-announced remake of the original Silent Hill.
Thaine Lyman has been appointed head of studio, while Katya Baukova is director of business development and Michał Gembicki is head of publishing. Piotr Babieno remains CEO.
"We don't want fewer than two productions, because relying on a single title creates too much risk in today's market," he told GamesIndustry.biz. "But we also don't want more, because quality, focus, and creative oversight would inevitably suffer. For us, two core productions are the right balance between ambition and responsibility."
The seven games breaks down like this: Two core "first-party" teams will work on Bloober's big "single-player horror experiences with strong gameplay foundations, premium execution, and themes that resonate on a deeper emotional or social level."
The rest fall under its co-development label, Broken Mirror Games. One of these is apparently Layers of Fear 3, which was also announced recently.
"We're not interested in growth for the sake of numbers," Babieno says. "We believe players don't need a constant flood of releases. They want experiences that feel meaningful, distinctive, and worth remembering years later."
It sounds like Bloober is leveling up, then, and busy making a whole bunch of games that'll keep horror fans fed for years.

Hopefully they don't overstretch themselves. I can understand why they don't want to be reliant on just one game to keep them going.
Seven projects being developed is no joke so I hope they don't crash and burn from it. But it's really exciting.
It's easy to make that many projects when all you do is rip off other projects.
I wonder how many of them think it's okay to kill trauma victims.
Seven projects is a lot, but several of them are apparently nearly done. Whatever their Nintendo game is is apparently this year for instance.
Hello new TellTale games. Hello maybe 2 new games that see the day of light.
Here’s hoping they avoid the ‘We need to staff up. Oh no, we’re overstaffed! Mass layoffs! Now our stock is in the toilet, we need the financial stability that comes with being acquired by a larger publisher! Now we’re shut down!’ trap.
I'm hoping one of those projects is a sequel to Cronos. I really enjoyed that game and would love to explore more of that universe.
Just think, Bloober used to be the laughing stock (even though Layers of fear was pretty good) all it took was for them to do such an amazing job with SH2R and then make a brilliant new IP with Cronos! I think their future is very bright.
I’m hyped. I really loved Silent Hill 2 remake and I like the Layers of Fear games. I am hoping they get a chance at making a new unique Silent Hill game.
@Doctor_BK I think they will get their chance with the Silent Hill 1 remake!
Still need to play SH2 on my PS5 Pro. Glad they’re doing so well!
Make one remake.
Become known as Silent Hill dev.
@Dalamar I mean they are working on SH1R right now....
hopefully we'll see the first trailer for sh1r very soon
I hope they don't end up like Telltale...
Aren't they working on a game for Nintendo? Or at least a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive?
Love everything they’re saying. Keep ‘em coming Bloober, but at a pace that equals quality!
Good for them. Never really got the hate against them. Yeah, their games weren't perfect, but they always nailed that unsettling horror aesthetic. And as a diehard SH2 fan who thought nobody could ever touch the brilliance of the original, I was shocked to see how well they did with it. Cronos is also a sleeper hit that I love to bits, so I'm ready to trust them with just about anything now.
Give another SH in Asia and I'm good 👍
