Silent Hill, The Lost World Jurassic Park special edition (t-rex!), Driver 2, Crash Warped and Team Racing, Soul Reaver, MGS, Harvest Moon BTN, FF7-9...
Then there's the Disney/Nick games like A Bugs Life and Rugrats...
Not to mention Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles, Episode 1, Demolition, Masters of Teräs Käsi, Dark Forces....... what a gen!
Raimi is a good director, just look at his career. The Evil Dead series itself is full of black humor and slapstick comedy to the point of not being strictly horror. TLOU has some comedic relief, so I can see it working if he's more tacit about it than in Drag Me To Hell (lol). And his Spider-man trilogy was just weird, but The Quick And The Dead was pretty serious in tone. The movie is years away, though!
@AlexStinton I own it, but felt more compelled to play GT4 when it was new. It is fun to be able to set up crashes via his weird power, and the 1st person driving was ahead of it's time
Looks amazing. Now I'm waiting for a sparkly black ps2 anniversary edition. The black sticks and d-pad look great on the grey, so classic, and I love the embossment.
@DerMeister I really recommend it for $10 digital! 9 was my first FF and it got me hooked. 7 and 8 seem so serious cause of the art direction, but 9 makes you feel like a kid again
I want a ps4 version of TES 4 & 5 and of Fallout 3 & NV if they're just porting every successful last gen title...... Realistically, I want GT7 to get a date. IGN says tbd 2016, but I don't wanna wait another year or more!
@3Above that's a good point, lots of new people to pitch ideas means influx of content. China's always boasted tons of history and cultural influence; it'll be interesting to see them turn from a homebrew gamer culture into mainstream and how that will affect the industry worldwide. Can't wait for "CRPGs" from Studio Shanghai etc. (I love my Dingoo A-320 btw, and we'll all be driving Chinese cars in 5 years😜)
I don't mind ds3 at all after using ds4. I like how the ds4 has longer handles with the grey texture while the black of the controller is similar to ds3 in length. I do miss the raised Start and Select buttons, but they're just trying to have continuity between ds4 and Vita so I forgive that tiny irk. Tekken 3 on an og ps1 controller, good times
In all fairness, I played DA:I last night for the first time and it's framerate had to have been close to 18-25 fps. Very choppy sometimes but not game breaking for an RPG. Might be different for an AC game tho!
@DerMeister MGS4's was unbelievable. It played completely differently from COD/BF, more similar to TLOU's online with all the sneaking and CQC. There were great modes like stealth camo deathmatches where you'd only see guns floating around, and a good variety of levels from the story plus new ones. Matchmaking was the best/worst part tho, cause it took forever but was always a challenge to survive. I couldn't be more excited
@Godsire- They did say "masochists" lol. I liked the gnarliness but couldn't keep repeating the same 4 minutes. It'll be fun to get the rebalanced sequel on ps4 tho
I got inspired to play Skyrim (shock, I know) and GTA5 is pretty rad in 1st person. Sometimes. Other times it's impossible. I also realized I hadn't played Pkmn Y for a year so I'm trying to beat that with my crappy team (until they're all over lv.50, then they'll rule)
I haven't played ps3 for a week which is a record. I have more games left to play than I have room for so I've been buying ps4 games digitally (same install size, so no boxes etc. doesn't bother me). My old fatty 60 gig will be used for another gen for sure, I'm glad they're supporting it
@Reverandjames I purposefully didn't finish the story either. I did finish TLOU's campaign on ps3 and still wanted the Remaster, but I'm glad I still have 25% or so left at the end of GTAV. I wish I had skipped both on ps3 now that there's new-gen releases
What about the GBC Pokémon games? Blue was my first RPG, and gold/silver also did well. I love to hear that Skyrim sold 20 mil copies, but I never thought it'd be anyone's first RPG experience, if you can call it that. Game #5 is pretty late to get into the series. You wouldn't get any references or get the tone, necessarily, although I guess it wouldn't hurt to play them backwards. Please remake it for ps4 for us!
I got it day one and was disappointed in the unrealistic car damage (even GTA4 does it better), the redundancy, and getting hacked isn't fun to me at all. I'm gonna finish it some day, but I'm saving GTA5's main ending for ps4 cause it's not a chore to play (usually). Can't help but compare the two, and GTA has better gameplay hands down
Umm that's not a whole stinking lot of new stuff, but I'm hoping the experience as a whole will be worth buying it again. At least there's no season pass to screw us further. (tho my plus subscription just ran out!)
@seeafish for me, even more frustrating than the skippy framerate is the slow rendering resulting in traffic signs appearing in front of you out of nowhere if you drive too fast... Even at ~30fps the system will improve every aspect that the devs haven't specifically redone or added, which are supposed to be really well-done. I'm gonna try to preorder for the million bucks
Off that list I only bought Sims 4 and D3 ps4. Tough to say if sims 4 will eventually get patched up enough to be great, but Diablo is pretty much the same as on ps3. Oh well, half my ps4 games are re-releases
I played some Skyrim and GT6 has a huge update. Can't wait for all the new ps4 titles coming soon. I hate to say I'm almost bored of all my ps4 games (not so much Diablo 3 tho)
I'm playing Xenosaga Ep 1, Silent Hill 2 HD, Homecoming, Origins ps2 (much prettier than PSP [duh]), and some GTA 5 as I found cheap guides for each of them. I'll let my ps4 recuperate a little
@headsupkid01 cool, what kinda card? Mod that sh*t and use a DS3. Just mind the load order or it'll crash every time you play it lol. Skyrim PS4 port, anyone?
@rastamadeus that's Sony's strategy, considering you have to be willing to invest in systems if you want the functionality they bring, and that "gamers" would likely either have a smartphone or Vita already or be able to afford one. It's not crazy and who cares who's online😋
My experience online has been great, it's lame that folks are having any trouble. Can't wait to see the new maps but I'm stoked over new guns! (did I read that right?)
@wobrussell pretty stinkin' fun if you ask me! Diablo 3 UE deserves several hours and so does TLOU factions (refreshing @60;1080), but Xenosaga ep1 is my life right now😋
@ReigningSemtex I just don't get why video games are immune to contemporary hardware and software inherently being improved. It's not like there aren't a jillion "crappy-looking" fps and sidescroller games to play from the 90s if that's what you like (notwithstanding somebody having played EVERY game that's been made). Not losing sleep, but earning the same as someone doing less work always sucks (tho my original point is about dev being a form of artistic expression, so it's pretty unfair of me to compare in the first place. I only mean that creating a piece of art takes effort, and it seems like MC stumbled upon a non-proprietary feature of normal game dev)

Re: What Could EA's Special The Game Awards Announcement Be?
I'd love Battlefront news, and would hate Titanfall PS4. Though it sure seems like it will be. Ugh.

Who knew? That's awesome, I loved those games, I trust him even more now

Pretty great. They earned a double-dip from me with V, which makes me look forward to VI Crashing cars is fun
Re: Grand Theft Auto V Goes First-Person on PlayStation 4
@hadlee73 if only the characters' scripts were interactive whatsoever. That's the little extra bit that makes TES stand out
Re: So, How Does Grand Theft Auto V PS4 Look in First-Person?
Oh my god, this is why I bought a PS4.

MGS4, GTA5 and GT6 trophy hunting

Battlefront locale theme.
And you're supposed to have your vita or at least phone with you to do the PSN crap like see who's online etc

Re: Feature: What Are September 2014's Free PlayStation Plus Games?
Tempest on Vita! Now this kind of retro I like
Re: Review: Metro Redux (PlayStation 4)
I liked Last Night being on the NA PS+ and it was fun on the hardest difficulty. Really makes you sneak
Re: Is PSN Offline? Yes, and the Scheduled Maintenance Doesn't Start Until Tomorrow
Still can't use the app, I assume that means it's still down in NA. PushSquare posters must be reproducing by budding, 630 comments is a feat
