While we’re used to the trailers from Rockstar Games being cinematic affairs, the publisher has bucked that trend for this Grand Theft Auto V first-person footage. Instead, the company’s opted to showcase the upcoming PlayStation 4 re-release in its rawest form – and it’s looking pretty spectacular to say the least.
In this clip, you’ll see protagonists Trevor, Michael, and Franklin engaging in various vehicular and on-foot activities – but all from the game’s brand new perspective. We have to say, while the video appears to be heavily scripted, the new viewpoint does seem to change the experience considerably, with the motorbike sequence at the end demonstrating an impressive sense of speed.
The developer has said that it’s added tons of animations to the existing experience to make the new camera position work. Don’t worry if you’re not a fan of the added perspective, though, as you’ll be able to pick when you want to use it – and even toggle it on and off using the DualShock 4’s touch pad. Nifty, huh?

If that's actual game play. ....... wow.....
So it's essentially like an Elder Scrolls game where you can instantly switch between first and third person? This sounds great.
Man, I cannot wait to play this again!
I missed out on the PS3 version because my PS3 broke just before it came out , but I won't be missing out on this , this time around on my PS4 . Looks amazing, It could end up being the greatest first person game ever
One day I will get it.
Played it on 360. Will be getting on my new ps4. Awesome.
@Rapidaz I doubt it Arma 3 is probably still going to be better
I deliberately missed this on PS3 so it would blow me away on PS4, justified I think
Looks like a lot of fun actually, CoD AW is atrocious imo, may as well trade it in and pick up this instead, only forked out about twenty quid for it anyway. CoD AW is so bad I'm thinking of keeping destiny despite my loathing of it.
I have been wishing for GTA in first person a long time. This looks so good I can hardly wait. Now we just need more gore. They really slacked on the blood and gore in 5.
Oh man I am so getting this.
Oh my god, this is why I bought a PS4.
Gorgeous graphics and the ability to play in first person...very impressive. If I'd known I was going to be getting a PS4 when GTAV 1st came out Id have waited until it came out on the new console. As it is I've played the PS3 version to death and I can't be doing with paying again for a title I've already bought so recently.
