What happens when format face-offs get really specific? Digital Foundry starts comparing the density of grass in a game, that’s what. Grand Theft Auto V was thought to be largely identical on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but new evidence shows that Sony’s system has been drizzled with an extra drop of Miracle-Gro, as it’s capable of rendering a little more foliage on screen than its competitor’s console.

While this clearly proves that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, we feel like a lot of these comparisons are already splitting hairs, so we’re not sure that we weed [Sorry – Ed] to dig this deep. Incidentally, we recall the PlayStation 3 version of Mafia II missing a few shrubs and bushes, too – and we thought that that game was great on the Japanese giant’s device. Still, we suppose that this should provide console warriors with a little more mud to sling, huh?
