Grand Theft Auto V already looked stunning on the PlayStation 3, but the title’s upcoming next-gen upgrade is a gigantic step forward. In order to prove that its forthcoming PlayStation 4 port is a proper re-release, Rockstar Games has deployed a brand new trailer showcasing the differences between the two versions – and it’s night and day as far as we can see.
While the scenes themselves remain the same, the addition of real-time reflections, sharper textures, and enhanced foliage cause the enhanced edition to look like a different game. It’s not just technical tweaks either: the inclusion of new wildlife types and denser crowds prompts the next-gen title to appear much more alive than its predecessor.

Looks better than ever so I will be straight on this! Damn November for being so rammed full of games I want!
Is it the 18th yet?
Wow I can totally see the difference.
@Mrskinner lol just wait for December!
@Savino Yeah! really on the fence on it. It sounds good but they need to fix matchmaking. I know I'm not the only who felt online matchmaking for jobs, races ,etc. was frustrating.
Some pretty ridiculous improvements there. It's looking like Rockstar will be teaching everyone else how to do ports right.
Nice improvements.
looks fantastic, but i don't think i have time to put another 50 hours into
a game i've already played. i've already got a ton of stuff to get through
this year.
maybe next year i'll revisit this game on my ps4, mainly because Trevor
is my favorite game character of all time.
Will the online mode actually work the first month?
That's a pretty major upgrade.
I wonder if there is much difference between xb1 and ps4, probably not. A lot of the upgrades aren't that noticeable but that truly is a next gen cactus, what more could I ask for.
I'm usually not good at noticing things in these comparison vids but some of that was very noticeable. Of course they took what, 3 years and millions of dollars to build the entire game, and now they've had about a full year just to ad FP view and cosmetic changes so it's no surprise they were able to pull this off on the new hardware. They would probably be able to make the games look better on PS3 and Xbox360 as well if they spent an entire year doing nothing but cosmetic work.
Still impressive though, I'll put it on my bucket list.
That reminds me, what up w MGSV? Seems like we haven't heard about that in awhile. Should be a real interesting comparison between last gen and this gen on that one. Can't beleive its still coming out on last gen hardware in 2015.
Well I would be surprised if the PS4 version didn't look better given its ten times faster with better graphics, draw distances and lighting effects not to mention the textures.
Pretty great. They earned a double-dip from me with V, which makes me look forward to VI Crashing cars is fun
STILL NO ONLINE HEISTS
Won't be picking this up for a while (or at all) despite my love for GTA V and how awesome the PS4 version looks, already played it before and would rather spend money on a new next gen game instead of another 'HD remake'.
Am I the only one disappointed in the amount of blood and gore in GTA 5. I miss red deads bullet wounds. It was great and I don't see why they would leave it out.
I just hope the multiplayer can hold up.remember gtav on ps3.wow what a mess. So heres hoping theyve built a shedload more servers or however it is you cope with massive traffic. Anyone know how the beta went for it?.i believe advanced warfare has had some problems with connectivity since launch? Psn.isnt holding up great at the moment
This is the second time I have had to ask you to watch the language. Next time will be met with a consequence. -Tasuki-
