@Toot1st I never said any real gamers boycottred the game, but before release it was a tantrum on forums and whatnot about this game. So even Push Square wrote about how some intended to boycott it, but we all knew it was just basementdwellers who got another thing to be angry about.
I'm glad the game sold very well and I hope it continues to do so so it shuts up all haters once and for all.

All that "boycott" was just a lot of talk from people that probably never intended to buy the game either way.

I remember reading here on Push Square (during covid I think it was) that all Playstation studios was recruting to have 2 teams working in parallell.
I know that was Jim Ryans idea but I never heard them change their mind and still here we are, late 2025 and they can "only" make one game at the time... Sony just don't want to have Playstation Studios release more games so they earn more money?
Makes no sense.

I think it's the brand new RPG they pitched but got turned down on. Now then the MP crap rightfully bombed I guess they got another shot at their original I.P.

Sony always says Europe is their biggest market for Playstation. And still central europe (with my country Sweden counted in) I need to watch this 23.00 (11 p.m) in the middle of the week.
Why can't it be just 2 hours or so earlier?
I watch it tomorrow after I read all the spoilers here as usual then....

@LikelySatan I'm pretty sure your PS5 is "Made in China". I have read tons of reports of different issues with some OG's made there, but so far the Japan made ones is much more solid built it seems.

This. 100% agree with every single word. Plus my post above and the fact that PS5 slim was much cheaper to build than my OG PS5 but cost about 30% more here in Sweden, for what? All those crappy chinese parts compared to my robust one made in Sony's factory in Japan. Yes I was lucky to get one of those few.
But hell, it's built to last for sure, including the UHD discdrive. Never had a single problem with the console in itself, controllers on the other hand, well, see above.. /cries inside.

Edit: And the fact that Push Square believe Sony when they say they need to rise the price of their consoles by a 50 % due to world prices, but those factories only raised their prices about 5% to Sony and other costumers.
Sony, Nvidia and many PC builders rip their customers off by inflating the prices just because they can. And they do it with the PS6 too, trust me. All the signs are there already.

Sony, maybe fix the STICKDRIFT and use better parts in your next Dualsense, heh?! I have 6 (!!!) official Sony PS5 controller with stickdrift, the 2 purple ones that was the worst, the camo one, the the original white one that came with my PS5 and 2 x Black v2 ones...
My Spiderman one is starting to show signs too so only one I have that works flawlessly is the Death Stranding 2 controller.
I spent as much on controllers this gen as my OG PS5 did cost back on release day...
Let that sink in. Not acceptable in any shape or form, right!

Beat the first act before sunday evening and you'll get a bunch of free cosmetics ingame (demo or Early Access).
I you "only" play this free demo those cosmetics will be waiting for you if you buy EA at later date, or even if you wait until it's 100% free to play i the future (date unknown at the moment).

My feeling the last 2 years is that the favourite words for Push Square and it staff is in the realm of: "xbox" "cod" "microsoft" Blizzard" and so on. If I could I would use AI to count them all and compare it to "Playstation" "God Of War" "Bend" "Sony" it would be "fun".
I already know the answer but it would be great to have it in print.
Push Square alone and it's articles about M$, Phil lier and so on has by themselves pushed me to skip PS6.
I bought an electric guitar instead so I rather put my money on that. PS5 gen has been a huuge letdown for me (looking at you Sony studios) and it doesn't seem to improve the coming 5 years. They rather sell overpriced PS Plus than making games at the moment. Not my cup of tea.
Nioh 3 next year might be my last console game ever tbh.

Already preordered so I will try to stay clear of spoilers so no watch from me on this SoP. I just hope Push Square can retain from having different spoilerpictures / thumbnails from now on up to release in October. Probably not if I know them but one can hope, right?!.

@Rich33 Death Stranding 2 has perfect loadtechnology in my opinion. But it's built on Sonys engine so that explains that of course.

@Dr-zoidburg I share your opinion. All this, very expensive, hardware including the phenomenal Portal, but with gameprices going up each 6 months on the PS Store and no real bangers from a majority of gamepublisher, it's a letdown for sure.
First they blamed covid, after that the recession, after that the..weather?!
Excuses and more excuses, but in Sony's case, what are their studios doing with all that money and time?, not everything can be back to the stoneage just because some multiplayerprojects crashed??

Personally I think best thing this gen was going from my jet-engine PS4 Pro to a completely silent OG PS5. And the load times. Graphics, apart from a handful of games I haven't even thought about that to be honest.
