Developer Housemarque has just released the Zenith update for Saros, expanding the PS5 shooter with brand new content and features, and it's available now for free.

Weighing in at 3.5 GB, the update brings the game to version 2.0, and it contains various exciting new ways to engage with the roguelite third-person shooter — especially for those that have already completed the campaign.

Overlord Rush is a new boss rush mode. Here, you can take on specific sets of Overlords, or try to tackle all eight of them in a row, and your performance will be measured against other players in online leaderboards.

Then there's Eclipse Layers, Saros' version of New Game+ mode. Within the armour matrix you can find new nodes; these unlock the next Eclipse Layer, with each one making the game more intense by introducing new rules.

You'll need to equip Carcosan Modifiers to access Eclipse Layers, and to help with that, 20 new ones have been added — 10 protections and 10 trials — making the selection more varied.

While playing Eclipse Layers, Arjun will don a crown that grows based on how many trial modifiers you have equipped. This crown is also key to finding a new set of collectibles that unlock more lore to enjoy.

New Trophies have been added based on the Zenith update, too.

On top of all that, the update adds more accessibility options to Saros, including the ability to slow the game speed, toggle high contrast visuals, auto-aim, gyro aiming, and more.
