@giacrent My upload went from 12Mbit to 30.8 Mbit out of 1000Mbit (1 Gb fiberconnection). Not uncapped here, but slightly improved.
What is your current uncapped speed if I may ask?

@Ypmud Seems like you made up your own idea what I meant. I take for granted everyone has a lan cable from ISP outlet into the router to begin with.
But if you have an older router that wifi might not be good enough as the PS Portal is made for Wifi 6.
And yes, concrete wall could certainly be a negative factor, BUT my Asus gamingrouter is great through our supporting concrete walls in our house, walls our old Wifi 5 router couldn't handle at all.
If you game alot, a great router is important imho, whatever you game connected with lancable or through wifi. When I changed router about 3 years ago to support my PS5 I went from an average ping of 8-12ms to 2-4.
Well worth the money I think. ✌️🤗
(My PS5/PS4 Pro is connected through cable so my remote play on my vita is topnotch)
Hopefully PS Portal will be just as good when it releases here 🦾

@Axelay71 My usual advice to anyone who's gaming is that you should never ever use a stock router from your ISP. They are 99% not made for low latency gaming. You might consider wishing yourself a good Wifi 6 router in christmas present.
Anyway, check your router for a model number and google it if it has Wifi 6 or not (probably not) and that is pretty much a must for lagfree Portal playing according to most YT's I seen who have tried it out.
I get mine next week hopefully (not released here yet) and I have a Asus Wifi 6 gamingrouter so I can check it out for myself.
Another factor can be, as for everything using wifi like laptops/phones/ipads and so on. Too many devices that uses Wifi in the same time can drastically impact your remoteplaygaming. Make sure you don't have too many devices running in the background and that your Playstation is not downloading any patch, firmware or game while you are remotely connected.

While I 100% agree with all you wrote, "Hopefully someone like Sony or Microsoft will pick them up, as it's better that they survive, no matter who gets them..." is not that easy in reality. When people working there start to sense where it's going (downwards), they usually get new jobs so if let say Sony would buy them up, most of their real talent has already left and that makes it near impossible to make it worth the money it cost to buy them up.
Embracer killed all these studios because they were chasing "easy money" and failed. That's the sad truth here.

I bought Indiana Jones-table a few days ago on the Black Friday sale PS Store had. I gave up when I booted up the game and it hadn't started after 1 minute... Elden Ring takes 28 sec on my PS5 to load the "entire" world.
They seriously need to optimize the launcher for Pinball Fx to be honest...
If I want a "quickplay" session I want it to be "quick"!

@ear_wig Sony (Playstation) will collect data from the Portal users and obviously it will improve. I'm sure they will patch this to make it even more optimized.
It was the same with the Vita I bought. Minor lag at release but now I never have lag when streaming from my Pro!

I have alot of fun with my PSVR2, I just can't understand why Sony doesn't support it more themselves now when so many great games are available for it.
I remember Jim (goodbye) Ryan said all PS5 games will support both regular TV and PSVR2, what a lie that was!! Only GT7 does that so far. I'm just curious that no "gamingmedia" pointed that out waaay back!

Day 1 for me. The first one was really rough on PSVR1 but I played the crap out of it. Been looking forward for AS2 since I first heard about it years ago. And the Deluxe Edition costs just a tiny more than the basegame on pre-order (if you have PS Plus) so I bought the D:E.
This is going to be so much fun!

Or imagine how great Spiderman 3 will look on the PS6. Insomniac said they wanted to do a trilogy just after first released and as good as they sell I'm sure we get the entire trilogy plus "spinoffs" like Miles Morales, maybe a Venom one.
I'm sure you get great Insomniac games on PS6 too, don't worry.
If you want to "worry", ask yourself what does the other PS studios bring to the table at the moment...

If they can't calculate basic math no wonder resistances, bonus XP and everything else is not working as intended in Diablo 4.

@CutchuSlow I know, I play Lords Of The Fallen (2023) right now. It's NOT that PS5 don't have great games, it's all about Sony doesn't support their own platform with 1st party games because PC and Hardware is their 1st prio and I hate that tbh. I bought every Playstation console for their GAMES, not every single revision and crap they try to show down our throats.

It's ages ago since most of their 20ish studios released a game apart from Insomniac who singlehanded carry Sony so far this generation and to some degree Guerrilla Games with Horizon games and Sonys only real firstparty PSVR2 title to this date...
(Yeah I know GT7 have a great PSVR2 patch too)
So what's up for next year from Sony ? Gaasgames and maybe a Pro, and I just know PC,PC,PC versions of Playstationgames.
But what about us that support(ed) them for the great thirdperson singleplayergames?? Are we not important for Sony anymore?!
They say we are but were are the games in that case?!

I hate to think that people that pirate games and use addons and hacks will be able to beat the games and get the rare platinums without playing the games proper will skewer the trophylist and so on... Personally I really really hate the fact that console Sony with great games became greedy PC elitist company. Just my personal take on this.

@Peterchu Without spoilers, I thought the story picked up at the end of the game. But I agree, the start and the end was the only parts that really built Basims story overall.

Just platinumed it. 8/10.
-1 for the PS5 graphics, at the end of the game some characters look like PS3 graphics...
-1 for not really anything new or anything that try to evolve the franschice. They kind of played it too safe in a way.
If you take that in to account this is a solid fun game all things considered. I got my moneys worth so I'm happy.

Regarding the sound issues or whatever what was bad during the review, have you guys tried it after todays patch?!
I have preloaded the game and I got a huge patch a few hours ago so just curious..

@AndyKazama This game is made by a brand new team(!), I think they sacked the first team but I'm not 100% sure.
So no need to compare it to the first, that's why this game pretty much have same title, it's a reboot of sorts.

@RunGMhx You're naive if you think they are pressuring him into buying only one company. It will start with one PUBLISHER (=many studios) and if that goes well they will surley buy another, and another...
It's Disney for christ sake, look how many Filmstudios they bought: The own Marvel, Star Wars, Transformers and a ton of studios to make all these franchises.

Stop using "Bloodborne inspired" on non 3rd person games, makes no sense at all imho. Bloodborne is unique in every way from all other games in setting, mood, story...everything!
Even Lies Of P is leeching on the Bloodborne's legacy without being a "Bloodborne" game in any way, or is it enough to be dark alleys and a actionRPG, no, it doesn't!

Now make an interview with Hermen Hulst and ask him:
1) Do they still believe in "generations" - if so, why no PS5 only games so far except Ratchet and Clank?
2) Why no news on upcoming firstparty games?
3) Why is he hiding from the PS5 owners? What have he done for us the last few years? Will he be replaced just as Jim Ryan now that the service-crap is caving in? Will we see any firstparty PSVR2 games or has he abandoned the platform already?
And so on...
So many questions we need answers to in my opinion.

For everyone mentioning touchcontrols - I might be wrong but doesn't apple's OS on phones/ipads/computers all support Dualsense since last winter? I'm pretty sure I read that about 6-8 months ago.
I don't own (and don't want one) Iphone because I prefer my PS5/75" Sony TV - combo. That's all me and my wife needs for movie and gaming sessions

With "cancelculture" I meant people not buying the game because they saw some "cancelcuture" comment online that said it wasn't good and "if everyone else doesn't like it when I can't like it"
I rather buy a "bad" game and learn that the hard way than trusting people online tbh. I bought into the Cyberpunk 2077 lies how revolutionary it would be and how great it looked. They even lied and said the 4K HDR footage was captured on a PS5 when it was a beefed up PC.. So lesson learned, never trust CDPR again, ever. Liars will lie to make more money.

Anyway, so now I don't trust anyone elses view on any game at all. I read, like Push Square, take EVERYTHING with a big grain of salt, and maybe watch a YT video of the game in question.
After that I make my own decision to buy , not buy or just wait for it to be cheaper or come to PS Plus.
But not many seem to be like me reading comments online. It's Black/White in every game discussion and mostly "Black" =cancel the game!
When people don't buy it stuff like these layoffs happens, sad reality.
My friend bought this game, and the little I played it was quite good, solid 7/10 for me..

Serious question, I got totally burned on base game, it still doesn't look good enough on my PS5 comparing to the original trailer that overpromised ALOT. Is it the same thing this time I wonder?!

@MonkeyNinja506 Hard to find co-op/online friends when you are 55 as I am. At least where I live So I'm really against Sony's online/MP push lately. I feel 100% left out atm.
