@themightyant Yes, it's pretty much 60fps all the time now on the PS5 and today patch 1.044 dropped, so that means they patched it 44 times since release. Tweaks and finetuning together with completely new stuff added. I don't think the game can be much better now tbh.

@The_Pixel_King Just read an article about that "Legends of the Zone Trilogy is available now for PS4 and PS5 (via backwards compatibility), with a PlayStation 5 patch coming at a later date adding graphical enhancements and additional features."

Suits me fine as I have too much to play at the moment, so this trilogy is put on the backburner in my backlog.

The price here in Sweden has more than doubled during the last 8 years since AC Origins... Maybe that's worth some outrage?

So the 6/10 game "beat" the 10/10 game?! Guess peoples taste are more like mine than Push Square's... 🤷😉 Rise Of The Ronin is a 9/10 for me, I done everything and is now in 3rd and last chapter. 🥰

I loved the game since day 1. Never got caught up in the hate-bandwagon that followed. Got my moneys worth and with all the free updates since then it just better and better imho. 🦾🥰✌️And PSVR2 is THE way to play it, just sayin' ✌️

For or against midgen refresh consoles like the Pro, I don't really care, but WHY is noone ever complaining if Xbox or Nintendo does them? This anti Sony propaganda was boring 10 years ago, now it's just ridiculous imho.

@TheEnygma Maybe you did same mistake as I did? After intromission, when you get to the main part of the game, I ran around exploring and got to the little camp a little north of the starting point.
I spent 1½ hour there before I realised the reason I couldn't kill them all in that camp was because they was level 6 and I was level 2... LOL I got back to them an hour or so later and got my REVENGE!

@NoHope No, not that I could find. It got tons of settings for target, you're weapon to be shown when not drawn and pretty much anything you can think off apart from any map settings.
But I don't think it's too many things on the map anyway. The review made it sound like the map would be cluttered (maybe it will be later in the game), but I free villages, defeat enemy camps and do main/side quests on my way forward and I don't have that many icons to worry about at any given time.
I hope that helps in some way.
Edit: FOUND IT!! Open map - L2 - Iconfilter - ALL OFF or pick the ones you don't want to show in the very long list that pops up here.

I played nearly 11 hours today. A solid 8/10 for me.
This review makes no sense imho.

@CutchuSlow It was 2K upscaled to 4K on the PS4 Pro if I remember correctly.(Checkerboard rendering)

@KonstantTrouble I agree 100% precent with you. Not every game needs to reinvent the wheel over and over. Most games are as good as you let them be tbh. But Push Square has been putting this game up against Dragons Dogma 2 since day one so I'm not surprised. One had to lose I guess.

Yesterday when I turned on my PS5 my pre-ordered RotR Deluxe edition pre-downloaded to my PS5.
Annoying as hell seeing the gameicon and can't start it until late next week!! The torture!! LOL!!

@BlaizeV Fair enough. If it's like the O.G PS5, you can remove the sidepanel and check if they have something that interfer with the fanblades, no need for screwdrivers or so.
My PS5 was of that batch were a sticker was on the cable to the fan and it got caught in the fan and made hell of a sound LOL. I just removed it and the PS5 have been silent since then.
I learned it through a Youtubevideo so you could search on "PS5 fan noise" on YT. Hopefully you find some easy fix for it.

If you can even hear it you should pretty much ask for a replacement to be honest. Unless you got the new model and Sony F'd up on that one, if so, I have no experience of that model at all.

@Nekomichu I'm in the same seat. I have Alan Wake Remastered in my backlog, bought it on this summersale, but I have other games to play through first, Elden Ring at the moment.
But I will certainly buy Alan Wake II. The question is, do I get to it before or after Rise Of The Ronin in March next year.

So the rumoured new Dualsense V2 is for the Pro then? Makes sense if it is so. I would buy a Pro to get even better PSVR2 games, otherwise it's 50/50 at the moment.

@giacrent I think they should up that to 50 Mbit but as the Portal doesn't support 4K it might be a little overkill in the end. But thanks for the info

@nomither6 For me it's 50/50 if my PS5 have updated from restmode or not. I prefer to do it manually though so it doesn't interfer with my gaming.

@giacrent My upload went from 12Mbit to 30.8 Mbit out of 1000Mbit (1 Gb fiberconnection). Not uncapped here, but slightly improved.
What is your current uncapped speed if I may ask?

@Ypmud Seems like you made up your own idea what I meant. I take for granted everyone has a lan cable from ISP outlet into the router to begin with.
But if you have an older router that wifi might not be good enough as the PS Portal is made for Wifi 6.
And yes, concrete wall could certainly be a negative factor, BUT my Asus gamingrouter is great through our supporting concrete walls in our house, walls our old Wifi 5 router couldn't handle at all.
If you game alot, a great router is important imho, whatever you game connected with lancable or through wifi. When I changed router about 3 years ago to support my PS5 I went from an average ping of 8-12ms to 2-4.
Well worth the money I think. ✌️🤗
(My PS5/PS4 Pro is connected through cable so my remote play on my vita is topnotch)
Hopefully PS Portal will be just as good when it releases here 🦾

@Axelay71 My usual advice to anyone who's gaming is that you should never ever use a stock router from your ISP. They are 99% not made for low latency gaming. You might consider wishing yourself a good Wifi 6 router in christmas present.
Anyway, check your router for a model number and google it if it has Wifi 6 or not (probably not) and that is pretty much a must for lagfree Portal playing according to most YT's I seen who have tried it out.
I get mine next week hopefully (not released here yet) and I have a Asus Wifi 6 gamingrouter so I can check it out for myself.
Another factor can be, as for everything using wifi like laptops/phones/ipads and so on. Too many devices that uses Wifi in the same time can drastically impact your remoteplaygaming. Make sure you don't have too many devices running in the background and that your Playstation is not downloading any patch, firmware or game while you are remotely connected.

While I 100% agree with all you wrote, "Hopefully someone like Sony or Microsoft will pick them up, as it's better that they survive, no matter who gets them..." is not that easy in reality. When people working there start to sense where it's going (downwards), they usually get new jobs so if let say Sony would buy them up, most of their real talent has already left and that makes it near impossible to make it worth the money it cost to buy them up.
Embracer killed all these studios because they were chasing "easy money" and failed. That's the sad truth here.
