@Cashews eh? Not sure how you reached that conclusion they are expanding their markets. Xbox are literally doing the same thing in the same areas.

It appears this article is getting some serious traction on twitter due to the word niggles. I just assumed it was something everyone used.

Microsoft argued that sony own 60 to 70 percent of the console market so wouldnt be affected. In essence saying MS would not be disspraportinate in that market and are unlikely to impact it with this deal. The CMA agreed.

The catch being MS own 60-70% of the cloud gaming market. So by their own logic, it wouldnt be beneficial to upcoming companies to allow them to further that share.

Cloud streaming is still in a fledgling stage. By allowing MS to own such a large amount of massive IP's it effectively hindered any smaller companies even having a chance. While MS offered 10 years parity, its likely that cloud gaming will take a little longer to fully be in a position it needs to be 'the norm'. At that point MS already own all the cards.

Like you say, games will be made available to all. But only guaranteed for 10 years and after that they will only be available to all through Microsoft. Thats the sticking point.

Playing through this at the mo. It doesnt revolutionise the genre but it is thoroughly enjoyable. The world itself is a wonderful thing to explore.

@Rob_230 i was always dubious if id need one or if it was worth the faff installing it. Picked up a WD black 1tb one last year and, honestly, with me and my kids using the PS5 its been one of the best purchases ive made. It was ridiculously straightforward to put in and so easy to manage in the storage settings. Combined with a usb drive for ps4 games, i would highly recommend it.

Rahul is a class actor and comes across as a decent bloke. Glad to see him pop up anywhere. As ant says, midnight mass is very much worth the watch if you havent seen it. He's brilliant in iZombie as well if you want to go further back.

This whole buyout of big established brands is becoming rather tiresome. Invest in smaller companies and grow them. This new trend puts gamers at a loss all round.

Im gonna have another go at this now its on plus. I tried it before and it massively rubbed off wrong on me. Will see if i get a better feel for it this time.

I started the callisto protocol once the kids passed out on Christmas day. Gotta say, its one hell of a good looking game. Enjoying it so far.

@Truegamer79 definitely in a far better state these days on the current gen. Go with performance mode in my opinion. If you can get a cheap ps4 copy you get the upgraded version for free.

Ascent for 20 quid is worth a punt. Resi village for 18ish and last of us 2 for 8 quid odd is a bargain if you havent got round to it.

I get why they are opting for 2018 kratos but for me it should start at the beginning. The whole reason kratos struggles with his son is due to the events of those games and they explain why he is that way. More importantly they explain why somoeone comes knocking in the 2018 one.

I love the new games but i do miss the bombastic, zero sh*ts given approach of the old kratos just murdering gods, monsters and all in between.

And for me its mamoa or, and this is a wild card option, triple H for the role.

I really liked Days Gone. I mean, its not gonna change the world but it has an 80's action movie feel to it that really struck a chord for me. Once you view it that way, its just a joy. The world itself was also something i could happily explore and get lost in.

Admittedly though, this chap comes across as a bit of a d*ckhead to say the least.

@carlos82 im with you here. I was hoping for a full on dino game. Cell shading is fine but i was hoping for more of a realistic approach.

Beautiful looking game but sadly, for me at least, this is the entry into the series that broke it for me. To be clear, its not the games fault. I lost interest due to other things but forced myself to keep going through to the end. By the time it was done i was bored to tears of it and still cant bring myself to play another one.

Yeah, its just a frustrating read over there at the minute. Constructive discussions are out of the window and those two in particular seem to have a free pass to run riot. Sammy and the folks here (also over at purexbox) seem to have a much better handle on the troll side of comments. Makes for a much nicer feel to everything.

The 1TB SN850 is currently going for £118.98 on amazon which is a decent price. I got one of these and it works a dream.

On a side note, Observer: system redux was added to the extra subscription library today. It was previously only for premium in the UK (contrary to other regions).

@render fame is the new crowns. Its basically the premium currency now. Crowns level you up for extra awards on top of your usual xp awards.

Kudos are still in there but basically seem usless as you cant buy decent skins, etc... with them anymore. I mean there was 'grumpy glasses' and a bum bag (fanny pack for those over the pond) but compared to how it was its miles apart and not in the good direction.

@LiamCroft i will no bad words about the pulse headset you heathen. Hand on heart some of the most comfortable cans ive used. Different strokes and all that i guess.

Hopefully man of medan is just a carry over from something agreed before the tiers kicked in. Although if essential get 3 games and the other two tiers get the same plus extra added into the service then i wont mind that.

@get2sammyb Maybe its something that will get adjusted over the coming days, wouldnt be a Sony roll out without the odd weird thing popping up. Its quite a big change to roll out in one go i suppose so might be something they tweak in the coming days. Plenty to be on with in the meantime though eh.

Its also a bit annoying that while other accounts on the same console can play the games, they cant access the library themselves to download them as you can with gamepass. My kids have been pestering me all night to log in and download them different things. Bit of a 1st world problem but hopefully something they allow later on just to make my life easier 😂

@get2sammyb hey man. Dont know if you'll know an answer to this but figured its worth a shot. Observer redux doesnt seem to be included in the extra tier. It says you need premium. I thought it would be include to download in the extra tier being a ps5 game. Have you seen/heard anything on that?
