I enjoyed SM2. Different kind of game to HD2, which I love just as much.

Not sure why someone felt to raise 'ugly white folk' as an issue. They all just looked like, well, normal folks to me 🤷‍♂️

This will inevitably land on Plus/Gamepass sooner rather than later.

@Northern_munkey I had a food run without it happening last night. Yesterday afternoon I had two on the bounce after putting in a good half hour on the missions. As you say, they do seem to be on top of this stuff though so that is a blessing.

This was the most recent HD2 article on here so apologies for being slightly off topic, is anyone else experiencing a lot of crashes in the game at the minute? Either during or just after finishing a mission?

As long as it holds steady and is well paced, I really don't care what the frame rate is. I mean, if there's an option for 60 I will likely play that depending on the game. Although I'm more than happy to pick quality mode in other games. I have been enjoying the 40 fps option in games that have it.

As an aside, I have an OLED and all this 30fps is unplayable on OLED just baffles me. Literally see zero issues with it. Opinions though, we all got one.

@UltimateOtaku91 You can play with just a crew of pals on a private server if that helps? Me and my kids play it together and it's good fun without constantly getting plundered by some 300 foot death boat. Although awards are reduced and some stuff is capped, if you are just there for the fun of it, it's the way to go.

Between Helldivers and this, it's nice to have some games that are simply just good fun to play recently.

You also get Paramount+ include in some Sky subscriptions

Does anyone else have an issue where you cant see the number of players, deaths etc... next to the planet on the map screen? Ive also noticed that planet liberation stats dont move for me or sometimes literaly just show 0000000%.

Love the game but wasnt sure if this was just me or a general issue.

Ive already managed to collect enough super credits for two more premium warbonds so im looking forward to dishing up some fresh liberty with these.

Im waiting for the game that lets me charge the NPC's.

I really enjoyed this first time round but, without spoiling anything, there is a story beat that i think folks wouldnt feel as hard in the new version if played that way.

@Gamer83 Helldivers is eating my time at the mo (its far more fun than i anticipated) but Yakuza 8 is definitely on my list next. Hearing a lot of good things about it.

@Gamer83 no, it has not and its easy to get swept up in the doom and gloom of it all. But we got some good games to get stuck into and thats the best way to shift the mood.

Jesus, according to some folks in here and over on pure xbox all consoles will be dead by the end of the year.

@UltimateOtaku91 I agree with this. Gamepass, while undeniable value, has become an anchor around big phils neck. It hasnt hit the subscriber numbers they wanted and cannot remain sustainable as it is today.

The catch with this is that there is no real way out of the place they find themselves. If they put a selection of games multiplatform (i do think it will likely be the recent sruff they acquired and not core franchise), they get grief and lose the faith of their community.

The flip side is they come out and say its not sustainable, so price is rising and certain games wont be day one on GP. They lose the faith of some and they likely wont buy the games anyway as they will wait to hit GP.

Then if they pull GP altogether, they lose the faith of gamers and lose out again.

I really dont see a way out of the corner they have backed themselves that doesnt annoy their fanbase.

@BacklogBrad not sure why you have your pants in a twist about a multi billion dollar company if im honest. I also wouldnt describe ABK as struggling.

@BacklogBrad they arent ignoring them. Its just that all those other companies werent part of a massive merger in which it was clearly stated this wouldn't happen in a court of law.

The fact they said it happened due to 'overlap' basically confirms its because of the merger.

I really fancy this as i enjoyed the first one. Problem is convincing the pals i play with to get it as im not really a fan of playing with random folks.

As for the actual gameplay, zero interest for me.

Id have loved for this to get psvr2 support. There are some wonderful things that people made in this that would have been amazing on it.

@SgtTruth and yet its widely known that youtube compression is terrible. John from digital foundry was impressed, even saying it has some of the best character models he's seen. Lets wait to see what they say and continue this conversation then.

Really enjoyed the first one. Question for you @LiamCroft, can you still revive team mates and do they still arrive back in those capsules that occasionally land on other team mates? Had many a comical moment with them in the last one.

@SgtTruth I mean, this isnt really a game for me, but when the reviewers are saying its one of the best looking games on PS5, im not sure we can say its a downgrade on a game from 9 years ago pal.

@Deljo yes, yes i do. I have three kids and limited gaming time. His tastes in other reviews have been preeeeeeetty close to mine. Thats enough for me to use my time in other ways.

@LN78 fully entitled to your opinion, and i loved robocop also, but what did you hate so much about Alan Wake 2? Game of the year for myself so just curious what landed so badly. Again, not saying you're wrong, it is your own experience and its not for me to say what that should be.

Jeez, a lot of people really get upset over subjective lists of games these days. I mean, it literally has no effect on the games you can choose to enjoy or, if you wish, skip entirely.

Alan wake 2 for me. Followed by spidey 2 and hogwarts.

Then every other game released this year comes before zelda. I hate breathe of the wild that much I cant bring myself to play Tears of the kingdom, but the hate has bled over to it so much its in last place.

@OldGamer999 yeah, the folks that keep it running indefinitely are comparatively low compared to the majority of the games market. Most of the hardcore (hate that term) have stacked it on the cheap. We have a series x in my kids room. He basically plays minecraft so its cheaper just to buy outright. If theres a title released i want, i just dip in for a month, finish it and then let it expire. The whole subscription model (plus included as lets be honest, the premium tier is terrible) just does not feel sustainable.

I imagine thats the logic in snapping up every publisher under the sun. Gotta subscribe to play. Even then, id rather buy one of their games on disc than have to pay continuously to access my collection.
