Activision is advertising Call of Duty microtransactions in-game more than ever before, as it's been spotted the recent Season 4 update for Black Ops 6 has added a new place to promote purchasable weapons in the Create a Class menu.
Now, when you cycle through guns for your loadout, there's sometimes an advert in between the option to "Create New Build" and your current customised weapons. For years now, the Call of Duty franchise has been criticised for its rather clunky menu system, and now this is a whole advert to button past.

Here's one example of the advert from Reddit, which advertises bundles that can cost up to $30:
As pointed out by Reddit user Whambampl (via Eurogamer), it was already very easy to access the premium Shop from this series of menus, but now suggestions of microtransactions are put in your face. "I’m sure the Activision developer who suggested this terrible feature is very proud of themselves," they said.
Advertisements like this aren't anything new to the free-to-play world, which Warzone, of course, is part of. However, the example above is taken from the $70-priced Black Ops 6. With some past microtransactions including assets made using AI, this is the final straw for some players.
