To say Xbox is in chaos right now would be an understatement.
The platform holder is currently in the midst of managing mass layoffs throughout its studios, all while its recently instated bigwigs attempt to reshape the brand's image.
It's no real surprise, then, to learn that Xbox may also be casting a critical eye over its major properties — Halo included.
This is according to in-the-know Xbox writer Jez Corden, who claims that the Team in Green is "very, very, very heavily evaluating how Halo is run".
To be clear, Corden doesn't believe that developer Halo Studios is in danger of being shut down like some of Xbox's other outfits. In fact, the suggestion is that Microsoft could be allocating additional resources to its most iconic franchise as it makes significant cuts elsewhere.
"Halo is a key part of Xbox's reset plan," he continues.
Of course, this is all very relevant to us here on the PlayStation side of things. We're just weeks away from the release of Halo: Campaign Evolved — the property's first ever foray to a Sony system — on the 28th July.
