After I played vice city, I found somewhere online mp3s of vice city radio stations, and played them in my ancient car via mp3player to audio cassette adapter LOL... had to constantly remind myself to drive like a decent human being during those rides 😂😂😂

Dudes, Sony is so freakin behind times. I was lucky to grab a ps5 on amazon during preorder. Pure luck, waking up at 2:30 AM, and preordering with no fuss. Amazon. If not for that stroke of luck, I wouldn't have had it still. I looked ever since. Not a single chance.
You know how I got my xbsx? I went to the hardware section on the ms store on my xb1x, click, click and two days later there it was at my doorstep.

Fake sh**. You can order, sure, just not the thing you really would want, you know, like a ps5 console.

Have you seen any of the mods for these games? That's on a shoestring budget. I expect more from those who are going to reap millions off of these remasters.
My favorite GTA is vice city which I already purchased multiple times. I've owned every GTA since GTA, so it's not like I am not nibbling on that lollipop, but it's 2021, almost 2022 and what they showed us so far is unacceptable for this day and age, and is just lazy money-grabbing crap.

The point of my post was not to say that the original looks good at all or that the remasters don't look better. The point was this (don't @ me, re-read until god rays apear and angel hymn starts playing in your ears):

There are studios which surpass the best rose tainted memory of the originals by making remasters which are true to original but somehow look way better than anyone remembers them looking and there are studios that make remasters that you have to revisit the old version to go, oh yeah, the remaster looks better.
One is stellar work, the other can be done by algorithms and machine learning.
These remasters look like latter (yes, they look better than originals, but what doesn't at this point?).

Any remaster has no business coming out if it doesn't look at least the same as our false memories of the original. These look worse than I remember them looking. I know it's a false memory but let me give you examples of remastered games that were done so that they look better than our false memory of the originals:

@playstation1995 can't agree, dude, especially after finishing Mafia remake. Now, THAT'S a remake. These just look like remasters, not much better than a top tear mod team would be able to do.

Unlike some dudes in the comments, I enjoyed remote play on it within my wifi (actually, when at home I utilised its direct to ps4 wifi capability) and on foreign networks.

@WallyWest @themightyant you already have an option to boost ps4 games. There's a setting that you can turn on. The big caveat though is that you won't benefit much from it if the game in question is fps locked. Sure, it will hit that 30 fps with almost 100% reliability but it will never go beyond. In games with unlocked fps, obviously, the game will benefit greatly. There was an article here on push square that went into which games benefit the most from this boost option.
PS5 is way behind XBsX and S in utilising raw power to benefit old "unpatched" games (quotations because they are actually changed to allow for the raw power use - MS just streamlined the process way better than Sony).

Perfect news. I love the free 1 million R$ every month until they release it for ps5.
Also quit yer bit**in... if you don't have a powerfull enough PC to run this with mods @ 4K60fps then the next best thing is this "upgrade" for new gen consoles. All good.

@sonicmeerkat the games are coming, no worries, and once they come xb players will not have to calculate and recalculate. It's: you buy a game, you can play it on any of the SKUs the game is supporting. I am so glad I went into XB at the tail end of previous gen and continued to do the same in this gen.
XBSX has become my main console (not by some conscious choice, it's just where I game more often than anywhere else) with PS5 sitting idle until there's a Sony exclusive I care about.
Smart Delivery is for the players. Sony's utter mess of which version you should get, director's cut pay wall rubbish and all the rest is for the payers.

This game was promising...then it fell flat on its nose. Supreme art style marred by technical issues, great gameplay idea destroyed by unimaginative execution. Last minute switch to free to play model just made it worse. Such a shame and disappointment. Let it be, dead and buried. Do something else.

@Marquez NMS seriously needs a sandbox/creative mode with infinite resources so that one could just play to their heart content. The game has enough content now that it doesn't need to worry if they remove the need to grind for resources there wouldn't be much else to do.

Well, guess what, 18 months in as a 1st time xbox gamer (xb1x and then xbsx) and maaaan how PlayStation looks archaic in regards to how it manages both save files and different platforms game files. I just never ever have to think about these things, it just works on XB.
Bringing in Spiderman ps4 save game to ps5 was just the worst. Sony has not thought these things through. But then, they know we'll accept the suffering for the unique and great games they have on offer, so...

@wiiware that's obviously the case. I just wanted to point out that a game being on gamepass doesn't exclusively affect sales only on that platform. Yes, obviously, it's statistically almost insignificant.

I love the service, but I like and use ps now as well. They are quite different beasts though and the MS promise of having 1st party day one on the service made me into a huge xb fan. From "xbox never" to "xbox forever" in 5 seconds. 😁 Well, actually not - it took them 19 years to get me but I went from xb1x to xbsx within the same year 😂 and gamepass is great for anyone who has missed all previous xb games. That is to say, I am well in the "this is an outstanding service" camp.

The number of children in the comments thinking Sony is running a charity. LoL at your ideas dudes, you would run the company to the ground within first 6 months.😂

@RBMango download ps3 native binaries and play them on ps5? It will never happen. Not worth it to Sony and you'll need a ps6 for that.

@Fiendish-Beaver gamepass already got considerably more expensive. They achieved this by limiting live gold to gamepass conversion AND by not having special deals on the subscription cards since more than a year now.

@Northern_munkey nah, all the gta5 new sales, for years now, have been mostly because of the included online funds they've bundled with the game.

@wiiware it has been a long announced gamepass game, of course it will not sell right now on xb. Once it leaves gamepass, it will sell there as well.
In my case, Sony lost a sale because it's on GamePass.

@MightyDemon82 Pyre is nothing like Bastion and Transistor, so be warned. I finished it but it's my least liked game of theirs. Can't wait for Hades to hit gamepass.
