The waiting "for Slim" gang is hilarious. Dudes, have you not learned anything from how Sony stumbled through 2020-2022. You seriously believe these dudes will release psvr2 AND a mjor revision of their flagship product in the same year? Get a grip and stop pretending like you dudes had any intention of buying any ps console.
@FierceViper82G that's right dude. That AC looked so meh I didn't even bother to start it once. Granted, I'm more of an AC2 fan though and dislike this ballooning of massive space filled with repetitive truckload of...
@Hindenburg duuuude. Are you ok? How old are you? 97 (edit: not ageist, just in a sence " that old to remeber WW2 and how it was")? What on earth are you blathering on about?
It for sure is not a 10/10 either. Like the 2018 one wasn't (the repetitions, the lack of boss fights the short narrative but stretched gameplay, the atrocious crafting and upgrades, the broken difficulty settings)... But. But, the overall product was a greater thing than the sum of its "goods" and "bads", and a masterful and enjoyable success. So, we like to award such efforts with 10/10. On the other hand, this dude focused on the negatives only, which is fine, but all of them, in the face of the overall achievement, realistically, should maybe bring the score down by half a point, fine have it your way, a point. It still ain't a 6, dude, that was malicious, so you know, lesser people will want to get malicious with you then. Not approving of such behaviour, just saying, you should expect it. You wake up and choose violence - then don't cry when violence comes a knocking.
Btw dudes, unecessary article. From a game announced as a ps5 exclusive to "just kidding, we can't sell ps5 to save our lives, it's a ps4 game" - it was clear as day that this would be awesome on ps4 base and pro.
@KundaliniRising333 @jordan1992 @Sakai yup, dudes, it's a PS4 game with some extra options for ps5 that let you choose resolution or framerate performance. It's still gonna rock and be great. Like its predecessor, it's a phenomenal 9/10 game (not a 10, both have unecessary fake puzzle time fillers to stretch "time to finish", in adition to the first one having dog*** broken difficulty scaling and a ridiculous number of crafting systems/upgrade mechanics).
@UltimateOtaku91 correct, but, unlike Sony, Microsoft can afford selling them at a loss at full speed. Sony is trying not to sell too many before the price catches up with production costs.
There are only three ps5 games on that list though, dudes & dudettes. And the best of them is, without any contest, Astro. I've said it. Don't @ me. 😅😂
@Snake_V5 keeping COD on PS has never been in jeopardy and Sony knows it. No, the problem is this:
Once the deal is through, we could see a requirement in future COD for an automatically provisioned xbox account (like you get a ubisoft one when playing AC these days). Sony wants to avoid this at all cost.
P4 and P4 golden were crucial for P5 success in markets outside Japan. P4 was probably their best known and most played Persona game before P5 due to western hip game journos who just wouldn't shut up about it (rightfully so!).
2007 MW had the part of Chernobil/Pripyat done to perfection. I had a dude, visiting Chernobil in 2012 and he brought a series of pictures and I was like "yeah dude, behind this bulding is a children's playground in such and such state", and the dude was like "what? Have you been there?"... I said "no. But I know this. I have no idea how". A few minutes later I realised it was a false memory built from playing COD a few years back.
@StrickenBiged 😄 the obligatory ps5ps3emu comment. Nice one dude(tte). There's a venn diagram of people who think PS5 is a diety trapped in a machine and of people who think PS3 was a glorified TI calculator. Smack right in the middle are those convinced that PS3 can be effectively emulated on PS5.
699 new empire's credits
599 former empire's credits if it recovers to former glory, otherwise 699 as well,
and 799 conquered slaves' credits
Yes, that's $, £ and € dudes.
Dudes who think that Sony could make an effective PS3 emulator for PS5 are serious Sony fans. They also know jacksh* about it. Dudes, IF they could and it was easy, they would need to do an emulator and then specific wrappers for each group of games and it would still run like dogsh*. Stop deluding yourselves, PS5 is not THAT powerful. PS6 tho will probably be able to do it.
@ryanburnsred ps3 was their most revolutionary console (ok, with the exception of ps1). 2, 4 and 5, in my view were/are iterative (which, fine). PS3 is my most beloved PS and yet, yet, I still hate that DS3 with passion. I packed my two ps3s just to never touch those crapiest of the crap controllers.
@Tomato_Goose @Joabra01Swe @stvevan I don't think we can argue with the dude who doesn't want to subject himself to the pain of not being able to play a sequel. Not because his is a valid argument, or because ours is. It's the old: is it better to feel love and potentially get hurt or to never have loved and not be hurt. There is no right answer, or rather, there is only one right answer depending on the person you are. Take care, dudes.
@Olmaz driveclub is top tier racer. Vr version, not so much... it pales in comparison to GT Sport VR tracks in terms of immersion, sim and performance. No tears will be shed here for DC VR not being ported.
@Tharsman developers don't charge you unless they self publish, publishers do. And yes, because games have not been priced according to reality we have had this bs of over a decade now with standard, deluxe, complete editions, season passes, microtransactions etc.
@greengecko007 sure dude, I'll trust you when you show me your game dev and publishing business surviving on just $60 a pop of your AAA game (once again, please notice that in my op I was speaking specifically about AAA).
@Tharsman even $70 is bellow what games should actually cost. If you take ballooning budgets and inflation (not curent bla bla inflation but general all time running) games should have costed us around $100 since mid previous decade. So no, $50 is not it, and neither is $70 for AAA games.
If you understand Arabic, this is a true return to form re. AC games. The dudes at Ubi can't resist naming their protagonists "on the nose".
First AC's protagonist in the Animus was Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad... or flyer (bird) Son-of-no'One... as well as word play with Altair as the brightest star in the constellation Aquila (Eagle).
Now we have Bassim Ibn Ishaq... which... Smiling Son of Laughter... as well as word play with Ishaq being the Arabic version of Hebrew originating Isaac (the son of Abraham, God’s promised son, a miracle child, born to Abraham and Sarah in their old age).
So yeah, some old dudes at Ubi are promising to give us back our smiles and laughs by giving us a miracle AC reborn. We got it Ubi, we got it.
I am going to buy this because I'm one of the dudes that's been begging for one although I have a feeling only v.2 will be worth its price.
In general, I am not a fan of the base controller. Feels weird in hands compared to what is an ergonomic pinnacle that is the xb controller.
Also, only two back buttons? Meh, really?
I have elite2 and I was probably the dude that bought, like, half of the stock of ds4 back button attachments (I can't play ps4 games without it, it's awesome) so, I will welcome this one. It will probably be £179/€199/$159
@Shepherd_Tallon I 'member. Do you 'membeeeer?
Hahaha, jokes aside, Beyod Two Souls was released in October that Year, TLOU in June... but way before that time, it was during first released trailers that it became absolutely apparent that they took liberty with basing Ellie's look on that then actress' (now actor) appearance . After that said actress (then) expressed her dissatisfaction with the situation Naughty Dog rushed into changing face vertices positioning for Ellie's 3D model. The original reveal for TLOU can still be found on youtube as well as IGN's reporting.
@Americansamurai1 and PS4 remaster has identical gameplay, so what is your point? The man said it: you can't just go left and right and implement TLOUp2 all gameplay aspects as they would then need to totally rework everything.
Wait a second. Wasn't this supposed to be a remake from grounds up? Ooops.
Just forget it dude, this is just a continuation of their atrocious PS3 to PS4 "upgrade". No discount for previous owners (God forbid a free upgrade). I stopped paying top dollar to Naughty Dog long time ago and I am happier for it. Got a huge backlog and I CAN WAIT. I played TLOUp2 when it came to PS NOW. Cool game.
I was and still am a rabid TLOU (1) fan but there is zero chances I am buying this before it hits the proverbial dirt cheap discount bin (i.e. until they inevitably put it on that PS Plus Mumbo Jumbo whatchamacallit extra/premium tier).
You can't ever fall in love for the first time again. When this comes to ps+ I will check it out. I was unimpressed by the remaster. PS3 version (for its time and the platform) was and still is way more impressive. Even TLOUp2 was not that technically impressive given the platform. Sure, I'm jaded and I see through ND's smoke and mirrors but the absolute "WTF! How can this run on this box and look so good" of TLOU on ps3 will not be achieved with this "remake".
@Angelus3K yeah, looks like this issue is not fixed (RT reflections in cockpit view) so PS5 and PC versions continue to use Screen Space Reflections and xbsx has a fully working Ray Traced one. I don't know, I would still stick with F1 21 until a lot of post-launch patches iron things out, say 6 months to a year.
@Mossbergs don't be silly dude! Rockstar doing city feeling alive better 7 years ago? Hahaha, no, dude.
Rockstar made their city feel alive, better, and pedestrians acting more naturaly 14 years ago on consoles two generations prior to this one. Fourteen, dude, Fourteen. CDPR sucks at this, their city feels like a ps2 open world game city (at best GTA3 like). I still love the game though. The story is cyberpunk through and through and it is well executed. Not the game they promised, though, not by a long shot, and it never will be.
Finished game? Not by a long shot dude. Even in its PS5 version there are still wierd tech issues like texture pop-in, and this in performace or graphics mode. CDPR should have never released Cyberpunk on anything else but PCs, but then I wouldn't have been able to enjoy it and finish it on my ps4pro+ssd or continue my save on ps5 and I wouldn't have been able to double-dipp by buyin' an xbsx version, because I just love this not the game we were promissed but still a frigin awesome game. Frack it, I'm stayin'. Enjoying my CP2077.
Meh, I'll save even more when it's 50% off in May. Sony's delays reminded me that I can wait. Plenty of games in my back catalogue plus the gamepass onslaught.
Duuuude! @Quintumply , man, sir, this is outstanding. I'm ashamed to say that when I saw the title of the article in my rss feed, I went "there's no way anyone wrote this properly because there's just too much of it not to miss something". I came to comment what was missing and I leave in awe. What a great job, sir! Not only is it useful to HZD newcomers but also to us who have finished the game and dlc years ago. Maybe also to those who played the game and didn't bother with all the audio and text logs. I came to skim the article and instead read it from start to finish. Bravo!
@get2sammyb you agree with him either because you want to generate engagement here, like this one or you honestly think he is right. And the pachter dude is right if you take these numbers and put them in a jar. But imagine this: after bethesda and AB acquisitions, MS turns around and while farting accidentally aquires Bungie. How much is that purchase worth to Sony now? It's priceless. 3.6 B is nothing when you're hanging by the skin of your teeth (FPS wise). Pachter and you should get a room, dude.
1. DriveClub lives through those rain effect.
3. Not all tracks will have this awesomeness? RIGHT ON! Why am I happy? Well, you know what GT Sport did not have for every track and every mode? VR. Do you know which racing game had the best implemented VR on ps4 bar none. Yup. GT Sport. Bar none. I tried them all. They were either floaty, projectile vomiting inducing or they had their visual fidelity destroyed.
Polyphony, as always, choses quality over quantity. Far out!
Sony smartly burning cash. Bungie is the king of FPS shooting mechanincs and the feel of shooting. I abandoned Destiny the first time they removed content I paid for and haven't gone back. No free offer got me either, I will never touch it. But! But, those several hundred hours in Destiny were pure joy to play, loved every second of it. So yeah, a lot of potential there and if Sony didn't step in someone else would, ergo a smart move.
The only thing I want to know is if this purchase is also cash only like MS' of Activision. If so, boys and girls, dudes and dudettes, money is soon going to take an inflationary nose dive and all these corps are doing is replacing it with assets before it's too late.
