Re: Suddenly the PS5 Pro Doesn't Look That Expensive Anymore

TheDudeElDuderino

@Northern_munkey it's coming sooner than you think bubba. The crazed "investors" ponzi schemed that sucker out of the global economic capacity. There is nothing in the world that will provided returns they dream of, heck not even 1:1 returns. Just grab your popcorn and wait for the first few to wake up and start the run. it's going to be glorious

Re: $100 Off PS5 Consoles, PSVR2 for Black Friday 2025

TheDudeElDuderino

@blah01 nah, they were like this even before brexit ... it's the islanders' mentality ... can't fight eons living on an island and without internet at that... then when they conquered the world, instead of spreading they plundered and the world came to them... really, it is stronger than them... the only currency is pound sterling... and ok, they have to include the current empire's dollar.. they ignore the rest
hahaha I am just (lightly) trolling

Re: You Could Now Play Death Stranding 1, 2 with Worse Graphics on PS5

TheDudeElDuderino

@KeanuReaves sorry, my bad, I should not assume that you have any considerable length of living experience on this planet just because you are able to assert a hypothesis in comments.
Little Duderino, what you are suggesting is unhinged, what I am suggesting has basis in Sony's history, mainly, when Sony attempted to classify the PlayStation 2 as a computer rather than a game console to avoid import duties, which were higher for consoles. They added a lot of features to PS2 just to be able to assert that it is a PC (which then people retconned into "Sony was so ahead of its time with the PS2 design").
So please, if these power saving features get them to classify their current and/or future device as some green deal savior they may be able to find various ways under which different countries would taxing them differently than non-green devices of the same category.
I have no idea why is this so difficult to fathom.. have you ever exported/imported anything in your life? Worked for a company which imports/exports? Or currently working for one? Go ask your dudes responsible for it how many categories there are and how they influence import taxes and the rest.
Peace. May our paths never cross again.

Re: You Could Now Play Death Stranding 1, 2 with Worse Graphics on PS5

TheDudeElDuderino

@KeanuReaves I'll repeat what I said and highlight operative words for your easier understanding, dude, because you seem to want to drag me into some imaginary argument that you're having with yourself.
"If anything, this feature is there to have PS5 be categorized as green energy device or something, so that Sony maximizes profits through some ***import*** or sales ***tax*** DEDUCTION or EXCLUSION."
where on earth did you read anything about increasing sales, my dude?
And no, what you are saying makes zero sense, that's not how a multimillion busines is run, it's downright ridiculous and comical. Can you even imagine legal ramifications? No, you can't. That's why you are able to suggest something like that unironically (ok, gaming media mediocrity that lead you by the nose has also some responsibility to bear, I'll give you that, it's not all your fault).

Re: Dispatch Proves the Telltale Model Can Still Work, Sells 1 Million Copies

TheDudeElDuderino

Wolf Among Us was peak telltale, got me into the whole Fables story line, bought and read the whole saga and have been eagerly awaiting Wolf2... but nothing... I would have bought this already but the more I saw it being played the less I wanted it... humor seem to be one dimensional, and uses awkward innuendos as a comedic crutch to no end, with a not-so-subtle "hehe did you hear what we said there hehe".
I will wait for it to be on some discount in 6 months. Anyway busy with my backlog plus The Outer Worlds 2

Re: You Could Now Play Death Stranding 1, 2 with Worse Graphics on PS5

TheDudeElDuderino

@KeanuReaves how is it obvious, dude? What kind of a beta test is it if there is no control over who and when uses this and how you collect telemetry.
Based on what is it obvious? Any official statements?
If anything, this feature is there to have PS5 be categorized as green energy device or something, so that Sony maximizes profits through some import or sales tax deduction or exclusion.
What beta testing? As if they would need to push it globally to test anything - this is not how any of that works, dude.

Re: PlayStation Is Bringing Helldivers 2 to Xbox, Out on 26th August

TheDudeElDuderino

@Fiendish-Beaver sure thing bro. Elite2 is so good for stratagem calling, you can set it up in a way that you'll be able to traverse the terrain, continuing to evade enemies and their fire and call in stratagems without ever stopping or missing a beat.
Try it vanilla and then look online for best setup that includes shift feature, you'll be able to use the thing and your thumbs will never have to leave any of the two sticks, which is democratically crucial 😀

Re: PlayStation Is Bringing Helldivers 2 to Xbox, Out on 26th August

TheDudeElDuderino

@Fiendish-Beaver in terms of friends playing it is cross play so it doesn't matter where you play, your friends will find you and vie versa.
Play it where you have the best performance and the best controller. If you have elite2 then play it there. If you have regular controllers everywhere, then definitely play on PS5 - that's the best regular controller for the game.

Re: PlayStation Is Bringing Helldivers 2 to Xbox, Out on 26th August

TheDudeElDuderino

If they would allow me to have my PS diver on XB (profile roaming) I would triple dip (yup, got it on steam and PS) and I would never look back. Sony's Pro controller is such a toy compared to Elite 2. Yes yes, I really appreciate how different stratagems and different weapons FEEL different on the dualsense, but man, lack of extra two paddles and the lack of shift option is just not ok to not have for that price.

Re: Poll: 15 Years of PS Plus - What Do You Think of Sony's Subscription Service?

TheDudeElDuderino

been there since day1. It was the best when Sony was hurt the most (the xb360 beating and b*slapping it got). It was the best time to be a PS customer. Great selection of 1st party games permanently there, it was a precursor of what GamePass turned out to be. Online games did not require a subscription.
Good, good days - they will come again with the next gen when PS6 tanks like a drunken jock at a frat party.

Re: Don't Expect The Witcher 4 to Look Like That Unreal Tech Demo When It Launches on PS5

TheDudeElDuderino

It was an awesome tech demo and if you have more than 17 years of existence in these realms we live in you understood exactly what it was. Children thought it was a demo of the game. As for the tech demo and "ray tracing" they probably meant nanite light or whatever unreal engine calls it.
A more important thing is that we are probably not getting The Witcher 4 before December 2027.

Re: Helldivers 2 Continues to Be Sony's Most Successful Live Service by a Mile

TheDudeElDuderino

I see a lot of ps+ comments. it makes no financial sense to bring it to PS+ right now. The game and service is alive and doing quite well with tens of thousands active players daily.
If anything, when the first round of the galactic war story completes, THEN they might think of bringing it to plus, but even then, it makes more sense to offer it on 50% off sale than put it on plus.
And let us not talk about what an absolute kill it would make if they released it on xbox after the story concludes and a new one starts.

Re: Stellar Blade Director Gets Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Platinum Trophy, Says It's Game of the Year

TheDudeElDuderino

@ECharles been there done that. All the games you mentioned. COE33 is a live letter to all the games that inspired it, and then it made it all 10 times better. It is a unique work of art AND a very good game at the same time, with deep systems and game mechanics, and a multilayered multi allegorical story, superbly written well with zero pandering. No, dude, nothing else will come even close to achieving these heights for quite some time let alone in 2025.
Now, that's all about trying to critically look at it. No doubt there are great games coming that will be liked more by more players but that's a different subject.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Think of the PS5 Pro, Six Months Later?

TheDudeElDuderino

Last gen I went day1 with the Pro update. It would have been pointless, except there was that 4K tv to consider, so in the end it made a lot of sense. Then I got an xb1x and 4Pro looked like an old sock. Played RDR2 on xb1x in glorious native 4K.
That taught me a lesson: let others fill Sony's pockets with that mid generation "update", I will wait for their next new gen console.

Re: Oblivion Remastered: Everything New and All Changes Compared to the Original Oblivion

TheDudeElDuderino

@Trousersnake dude, can't blame you for the PS3 Oblivion rejection - it was, by far, the worst platform to play it on. Ran like dogsh**. I also tried to get into it, but alas, the performance, or lack thereof, did me in.
This one looks promising. Your point about the phenomenal potential for PSVR2 of this game is well made.
Although, seeing how Sony practically PSVita-ed psvr2, it seems unlikely we'll see Bethesda invest any resources for psvr support. Although, one never knows... maybe when they decide to get some extra 30-40 eddies for a psvr upgrade in a year or two

Re: PS5 Price Increases Announced by Sony, Affect UK, Europe, and More

TheDudeElDuderino

Price hikes were long overdue. Nintendo Switch 2 prices were not set on a whim. Have you compared prices of some of necessities to their amounts when the ps5 came out. Some things went up by 60% and if you check really cheap food and beverage, the type very financially challenged have to buy, they went up almost 100%. So a console costing 400 in 2020 being 500 now is actually roughly 150 less than what they wanted it to be, but they can't.
Has nothing to do with tariffs, and everything with global inflationary situation induced by covid time disruptions AND major conflicts that saw billions siphoned to war machines instead of social programs and entertainment.
As for USA, it is heading for a bit of isolationism and an absolute devaluation of the $ so watch this space for price increases there, don't be shocked and don't say I didn't tell you dudes.
