Re: PS5 Pro Will Improve PSVR2 Games

TheDudeElDuderino

@NEStalgia ps5pro is great news for my dream of MS releasing XB7 one year earlier than the next PS, and based on nvidia tech (gpu) and AMD cpu. Sony is not going to be coming out with ps6 earlier than xmas 2027.

Re: Roughly 50 Games Ready for PS5 Pro Launch with Dedicated Patches

TheDudeElDuderino

@JohntheRaptor no dude, you are wrong. I know what an 800 credits PC looks like and what a 3000 credits can do. There's a reason I mainly play on consoles and it has nothing to do with prices but with it being a major chore and a pain in the backside.
Rather than insulting people (passive aggressive "everyone", "whining" etc.), try to understand what I'm saying (if you're going to try to engage me).
This device, like the ps4pro, is a stopgap measure, an effort to prolong the manufacturing of an already underperforming platform, with a goal to maximize profit generation from a system that sprung out of a certain R&D budget. It is neither pro consumer nor pro gaming industry.
The price is ridiculous not because you could have a PC that performs the same for the same price (you couldn't) but because it is almost double the price of the base model, and let me tell you friendo, it will not produce even 50% better results.
I saw what sony does with such devices (Bloodborne is calling you dude, with its locked framerate on any ps you run it on), they are never betrayed by their raw power but by how sony dictates software runs on them.

Re: PS5 Pro Showcase Set for Tomorrow, Hosted by Mark Cerny

TheDudeElDuderino

@jrt87 same, same, and honestly, I have not seen or heard of a PS exclusive that would need it or make me go ooooh, a PC could never. SONY seriously underdelivered in the software department this gen.
They didn't get me with psvr2 (and I bought 2 psvr) and they will not get me for whatever ps5pro turns out to be, and I fall into the category of people you described yourself as.

Re: PS Plus Extra's September Cull Has 4 More Great PS5, PS4 Games Added to It, 16 in Total

TheDudeElDuderino

Sony removing first party games from their subscription service is never not hilariously out of touch. They will never learn and xbox is criminally inept to give them a run for their money. Sony is the best when they are beaten and in the gutter, not when they reign supreme.
Ah, well, back to playing the absolutely amazing Midnight Suns on xbsx and Helldivers 2 on ps5.

Re: Rumour: Sony Paying Close Attention to Handheld Market After PS Portal's Shock Success

TheDudeElDuderino

Nah bro. They'll botch it in some way. Even if there is no way to mess it up, Sony will find it. Mind you, I still have my og PSP and two oled Vitas.
Not interested in Sony's anything other than mainline console.
Immediately decided not to go for PSVR2 after owning two PSVR.
Sony. Will. Drop. The. Ball. Every. Single. Time.
Every single time.
I am waiting for Switch 2.

Re: Helldivers 2 Community Fractures, Traitor 'Chaosdivers' Want to See Super Earth Burn

TheDudeElDuderino

@UltimateOtaku91 hey matey, why speak of things you know nothing of? Now, I don't abide by those dudes overreaction but it for sure is not just over flamethrowers.
It is also about the game not having basic features working (social, friending, blocking, cross play friending, private game sessions the list just goes on), being marred by bugs (code not Terminids) and while this is going on the dev decides to spend their precious time by constantly changing the way base weapons work and behave instead of making the thing work.
But once again, this game is in Early Access with publisher deciding to not call a Spade a Spade and deciding to go with "a game with developing story line and features".
If these gamer dudes knew anything about anything they would collect their money and hire a legal firm to hit Sony and devs with false advertising in a court of law.
And no, this being a live service game, 12 mil players is not accurate. Yes there have been 12 mil copies sold, but right now, at its very hig, the game has 70K concurrent players. So probably out of those 12 mil, there are still hundreds of thousands unique players over a span of a month. This will be enough to keep the game going.

Re: Arrowhead Unveils 60-Day Plan to Placate Rebellious Helldivers 2 Fans

TheDudeElDuderino

Actually, many things would have been differently handled if Sony, the publisher of this game, decided to call it what it was. Helldivers2 has been what we usually know as an EA game (Early Access game).
Unfinished, major features barely working, lacking major portions of the game (e.g. armor and weapons customization) and remaining in major development cycle with its core game mechanic being changed/tweaked all the time + the final nail to the coffin: the price.
Repeat after me: Helldivers 2 is an Early Access game.
After that is internalised and accepted, EVERYTHING that has happened with this game, since it's early access availability, becomes clear as day and totally understandable.

Note: shoutout to Digital Foundry's Alex Battaglia for that jewel of a definition for "EA game" = Early Access game 😂

Re: Arrowhead Unveils 60-Day Plan to Placate Rebellious Helldivers 2 Fans

TheDudeElDuderino

@The_Wailing_Doom let's stick to the facts dude and stay away from virtue signaling. Both you and I have no idea how many people are actually, as you put it, "whining" (a.k.a. being vocal about not liking where a product they invested their money and time is going). What we do know and have documented proof of is that one of the fundamental features of a multiplayer online game has never ever worked properly. Don't be daft and deflect with "works for me" while you have dev's own patch releases since the dawn of this game that clearly state it as a known issue.
You can insist talking about the outcry while I point out to you that this dev has been behaving like a bushman league player since day one regarding one of the more crucial feature of their product.

Re: Arrowhead Unveils 60-Day Plan to Placate Rebellious Helldivers 2 Fans

TheDudeElDuderino

Nerfhead Game Studios announce their 5 year plan. Everyone clap.
nope, dudes, you had your chance and your action shows you are riddled with people obsessed with control (of things that need no controlling).
Cheerio and farewell, 40K is coming.

Disclaimer: I still love this game so much, but have no intention of investing a millisecond into it until they get their act together. I will follow this space and in case they bring back the fun, sure, I'll be at the practice.

Re: More Spicy Helldivers 2 Drama as Freedom's Flame Backlash Boils Over

TheDudeElDuderino

Nerfhead Studios will just not give up on making their PvE game a chore and not fun.
It is evident that their initial success with making HD2 so much fun was accidental.
For those in the comments who have not been with the game since day1, it is not about people being crybabies, it is about Nerfhead Studios unnecessarily making main weapons feel like useless pieces of junk.
With that and with constantly changing how the game plays instead on focusing on delivering new content (story and gameplay wise), Nerfhead Studios have manages to alienate 90% of their player base, which is an achievement rarely seen. Slow clap.

Re: Talking Point: Is It Finally the Right Time to Buy PSVR2?

TheDudeElDuderino

@NeonPizza yes, agreed. Meta is a better consumer VR option than Sony. On that front though, I did not go to Quest 3 as I already had Quest 2, and again, would like to see further significant jumps in tech before going forward.
Also, I am a bit jaded and have too high of expectations, so I know I will have to wait at least five to ten years to be wowed.

Re: Talking Point: Is It Finally the Right Time to Buy PSVR2?

TheDudeElDuderino

I've been Sony's VR day1 owner. Pre-ordered it. Got a second unit shortly afterwards. It was a lot of fun but the 2 was not enough of a jump to make me buy it. I decided to sit this gen out - nothing gives me that "oh, wow, now THIS doesn't feel like you are looking at the world through a really thick diving goggles".
I will possibly have to skip the next gen as well, but then PSVR4 or whatever else is in the market then with that tech is going to be day1.
I must say that I do miss Gran Turismo in VR.

Re: Helldivers 2 CEO Praises 'Willpower' of Community in Sony Showdown

TheDudeElDuderino

Would have amounted to nothing had Steam not refused to play this game (pun definitely intended) with Sony.
Steam pulled a Sony (remeber how ruthless they were to Cyberpunk on their store) by removing the game from stores where psn is nowhere to be seen. Sony went "ugh, right in the wallet, huh? I think I'm hurting" and went all soft.
The best thing, Sony had no reason to go this hard and this tone deaf.
Sony could have done this so much better... "We have some great news! Linking to PSN account issues have been resolved. If you decide to link your accounts it will help avoid issues with social part of the Managed Democracy's freedom loving diving! And to show appreciation, Superearth has some special armor and capes for those brave accounts-linking helldivers. Link your accounts today! Managed Democracy depends on it!"
No, I don't think the requirement itself was any different than what other publishers are doing but the way it was put back in play and having it be a requirement without covering all the territories where the game was being sold in is some 2006 era Sony

Re: Sony Doubles Down on Helldivers 2 PSN Requirement by Taking It Off Sale for PC in Numerous Countries

TheDudeElDuderino

@Stickleman consider yourself lucky. I on the other hand am using an alternate HD2 account on steam to bridge the problems between my prime on ps5 and my friends on steam which I lost the ability to "see" since a month and a half now.
I raised a support request with Arrowhead and they acknowledged the issue and are working on it. I am guessing the mandatory linking to psn and moving all social related database(s) transactions/messaging/status info whatever blabla is behind it over to PSN will solve this.

Re: Sony Doubles Down on Helldivers 2 PSN Requirement by Taking It Off Sale for PC in Numerous Countries

TheDudeElDuderino

1. People are blowing this out of proportion. Steam will be fine. Sony will be fine. Arrowhead will be fine.
2. PC gamers could have shut up and just created psn accounts like they do for every other major publisher.
3. As for Sony and how they are handling this, I sense there are a lot of very young and inexperienced dudes on this site. We're talking about Sony here, the OG "don't give a @#%& about consumers and what they think" corpo. This is the same company that told us to get a second job to afford a ps3, then took a touted feature of that same device out with a firmware update. They literally took away what they advertised the device to be. It's Sony. A big corpo machine which doesn't care. The only time they appear to care is when they have the boot of their competitors on their face. Buy more xboxes if you want a better Sony (but this will take care of itself when the next xbox comes out in 2025 with an nvidia gpu; you read it here first, you're welcome dudes).

Re: Mar 2024 USA Sales: Dragon's Dogma 2 Tops the Charts, Helldivers 2 Is Unstoppable

TheDudeElDuderino

Helldivers 2 has just started dudes. It is yet going to grow. We are yet to see vehicles added.
Then, there will be weapons, armours, helmets and vehicles customization/skill tree, so... the game will be totally different than that we started playing two months ago.
I am playing nothing else since it came out, but I have a great gang to dive with and we met some far out dudes in public matches so our circle of friends to play it with has grown.
GOTY material 💯

Re: Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Warbond Offers New, Explosive Peacekeeping Options

TheDudeElDuderino

Just by playin two hours a day, I already have 3000 sc waiting for the next warbond. I have both previous ones. The thing is, I earned sc for one of them and for the other I paid a tenner and got it. That tenner has a return of approximately 3 monetary units in the form of 300 sc, so what I'm saying is that it's all extremely fair.
If you enjoy this game, and cleanup levels (my dudes and I play like that - if we are after xp and rare and ultra rare samples then we play difficulty level 7-9 we complete main tasks and whatever else we can and extract if possible; If we are after medals, RS and SC, we go to lower difficulty 4-5 and 100% each map, no stone left unturned).

Re: Sony's Third-Party Chief Explains How PlayStation Makes PS5 the Best Place to Play

TheDudeElDuderino

@DennisReynolds I must say I am not a big fan of dual sense. It feels like holding a big brick and when I start controlling a game it starts feeling like a mud brick. The triggers are tiring, and sticks have horrendously large dead zone.
Now that we have well established that Xb elite 2 is a superior controller for my senses, let me tell you this:
I have bought Control (remedy's game)for both consoles but initially played it and finished it on a ps4pro. I love this game. I have the super duper version for xbsx and ps5. I was getting ready to replay it once again. I was convinced that I would play it on xbsx, but out of curiosity I decided to compare them side by side.
And even though elite2 remains perfect... there is no comparison. It is not the major dual sense features that win. It is the subtle feedback that DS is capable of that is adding to the atmosphere like no other controller can.
And let me not even start with ps5's sound scape... it is unbelievably more nuanced... on a simple set of built-in tv speakers.
So, yeah, dude, going to be replaying Control with the "mud brick"... but what an awesome mud brick it is.

Re: Naughty Dog Details The Last of Us 2 Remastered Upgrade Path on PS5

TheDudeElDuderino

@IOI @Jacko11 dudes, dudes, I mispoke as it was ps now at the time, but you two are so quick on the trigger. Shame on you. Should have investigated a bit before calling a grown man a liar. Ahh, to be living in the times of the wild west, your destinies would have been sealed. This being modern age, rule of law and all that rubbish, I can just shoot a link to educate you:
https://www.techradar.com/news/the-last-of-us-2-goes-free-on-playstation-now-and-our-minds-are-blown
and yes, it being a ps4 game on ps now meant you could download it and install it locally.
