Re: Sony Stock Value Loses $20 Billion, But Will Likely Recover

Tchunga

@Alduin Where do you draw the line though? At what point do you draw the line and say this is no longer "just business"? When there are literal anti-trust laws in place to regulate this sort of behavior. I don't know, maybe this hasn't crossed that line yet but it's getting dangerously close. An acquisition like this isn't something to be celebrated or defended in my opinion. It stifles the competition. And we should want to stoke competition, not stifle it

Re: Game of the Year: #3 - Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

Tchunga

Yeah, saw this one coming lol. Ratchet is definitely this years Ghost of Tsushima in that it's another "pretty good but not great" playstation exclusive that's made out to be more than it is.

I think in a couple years after the hype dies down people will see this game for what it actually is. A barebones 3D platformer with a bland story and characters that is visually pleasant to look at

Re: Mini Review: Twelve Minutes (PS5) - Weird Twist Spoils an Otherwise Intriguing Story

Tchunga

@Medic_Alert I feel like this conversation is getting a little long in the tooth, that wasn't my intention but nevertheless there are a few things I want to clear up.

I want to start off by saying that I agree with you on most points. You can absolutely feel attachment to a piece of fiction. Like you said that is often the author or creators intent.

However, it is a logical fallacy to think that murder in a video game is justified in some cases and not others. This isn't real life, This is a video game. It's polygons and pixels. Violence in fiction lacks a lot of the nuance that it does in the real world. I'm not saying you can't feel a type of way about stabbing your wife in 12 Minutes, you absolutely can. But what I am saying however is that if you yourself have ever committed acts of violence in a game before then it is hypocritical at best to think that you have any sort of moral high ground in feeling so.

I didn't enjoy a lot of the things I had to do in 12 minutes. Does that mean I regret doing any of those things? No. Does that make me a bad person? Call me biased but no, I don't think it does. You can think that 12 Minutes goes too far. I never argued otherwise. All that I ask is your reasoning in thinking so is consistent

Re: All The Game Awards 2021 Winners

Tchunga

@MyThoughts31 I don't care if you don't care, you made a public comment and I'm going to respond to it whether you like it or not.

And my tongue isn't in Deathloop's arse, I don't care about Deathloop. I just find it funny that the people who are always complaining about "Oh game X didn't deserve the (insert here) award!" And then when you ask them why it didn't deserve that award they can never come up with an actual reason as to why.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Kena: Bridge of Spirits?

Tchunga

This is kind of the game that I hoped Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart would be. There's some actual, genuine challenge in Kena. Rift Apart was way too easy. On top of that the puzzles in Kena are fun and make great use of the environment, where as in Rift Apart the sections where you play as Clank just....suck, there's no other way to put it they simply weren't fun. And on a more purely subjective note I just find the world in Kena much more interesting and endearing, it makes me want to be more invested in the game's world. It's crazy to me that Kena costs $30 less than Ratchet I had such a better time with it

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Deathloop?

Tchunga

Do these polls really need all those options? I don't see the point in having both "Yes" and "Also yes, but with slight variation" It's incredibly redundant. And on top of that it just makes it more difficult to properly guage where everyone is at with their purchasing decisions

Re: PS5, PS4's Elden Ring Is 'Very Difficult But Can Be Handled'

Tchunga

@UltimateOtaku91 You are wrong on so many levels. Lol

From Software wouldn't be the juggernaut it is today if they included difficulty levels in their older titles. The entire reason they're the huge success they are is because they strayed from the norm and catered to a more hardcore audience.

Stop trying to make From something they're not.

Re: Horizon Forbidden West on PS5, PS4 Is 'More of the Things People Loved About Zero Dawn'

Tchunga

@rpg2000 I never said they needed to go back to the drawing board, I said I wanted them too. Its selfish, I realize that but I don't play video games for other peoples enjoyment, I play them for my own. So at the end of the day it doesn't really matter how much of a "huge success" the first game was when I simply didn't enjoy it. I don't base my enjoyment of media on how successful it is

Re: Horizon Forbidden West on PS5, PS4 Is 'More of the Things People Loved About Zero Dawn'

Tchunga

Dang, I was kind of hoping they were going back to the drawing board with HFW. There were elements of the first game I really enjoyed like the story and setting but I found the open world structure and crafting to be pretty mundane. So to hear the sequel is "more of the same" doesn't sound to reassuring. Oh well, it may not be for me but I'm sure countless others will enjoy it

Re: All the Winners at The Game Awards 2020

Tchunga

@Darten I think if GoT had been a bit more ambitious or wasn't just another open world game in a sea of open world games it probably would have sit better with critics. It's a tired genre and unless you're breaking the mold or doing something truly innovative there's just no way around it

And yes I agree, incineroar is pretty great
