@Jarobusa tbh Xbox does absolutely everything better. Except games and controllers and their UI…. But on the whole they do stuff better…. Fridges especially.

Yawn. Not at the games at these comments….. “gaming has moved on” - “these games don’t stand up well against modern games” - the majority of gamers don’t feel the same. Games may look pretty these days but they rarely capture the imagination like these games did. These will sell silly numbers whatever enhancements because they will still be more fun than 90% of the open world GaaS nonsense that gets released today. Fact. So you can bore off and do your daily challenges and grind away and those with taste will play a proper game and not a MT milking machine.

@Th3solution my advice is pick the game up super cheap. (I did) and play just the single player story content and forget the game wants to be anything else. It’s a decent solo player campaign. But I’m glad I didn’t pay or support them. Just a second hand copy will do for this grubby practise. The campaign is pretty decent though

This game has a cracking roster. What we don’t know yet is which of these names are paid dlc and which are not. They’ve said not everyone announced will be on the base roster

People saying “this reviewer just saved me £25 seriously?” You wanted the game read this one review and opted against it…. At least look a mixed bag. Most reviews agree for the entrance fee this is a very good game. No hate at the reviewer in me saying that, I personally think Resident Evil 4 is the worst of the series. 6 out of 10. But honestly I’m just one man……

This guy didn’t like it. That’s cool. He is a good reviewer and he is allowed to not like it.

But check other reviewers. Don’t ever just read one.

I really don’t know why they didn’t just release the last version FTP and add in the bits they wanted and tweak some game play elements. Surely that would be better. This makes no sense.

@MatthewJP because the move to FTP was always a terrible idea and football fans only had two proper choices and now they only have one. The cost this year is irrelevant as it’s more that this move killed a beloved series. It’s not hard to grasp why people are upset.

The show was great but it was a few games light and next year still looks short… as does the end of this year… (and so has the rest of the year) A few of these are a good few years off. Xbox looks stacked in comparison although 90% will be GAAS model and not solo player games. I do think Sony are three games light next year and one game light this year at this point 2023 needs to be a bumper year. The issue being they won’t flood a year to make up for it so the first two years and a bit of ps5 are a big disappointment in terms of games

@Bleachedsmiles they lowballed us and then expect praise now they have given us a less rubbish deal. This new U-turn after a backlash culture is a horrible PR tool. They believe it doesn’t damage a brand. It does. This U turn doesn’t make me think more of Sony. Less. I own 11 Sony consoles in various forms. I can’t be accused of not being a Sony fan in the first place.

@fR_eeBritney mad max is the most underrated game of all time. 100%. That deserved to sell bucketloads on release but was reviewed all wrong. I see it often. Reviewers either - miss the point of what makes a game magic… (which I blame on gaming fatigue and rushing games without forming a connection with it) or… they get their bee in their bonnet about something they think the public will be enraged about. I’ve seen them heavily mark down a game that has MT but it isn’t intrusive but they still have the hump and yet a game where MT is clearly intrusive they barely mention it.

My bug bear is that websites themselves don’t have an agreed standard to how to mark games and it ends up as inconsistent mess. I now use gameplay videos to make decisions

He is saying a lot without saying a lot. Workplaces can be a horrible place and clearly there was a whole heap of drama. He was never ever gonna say it was a toxic place and I wanted out after a power struggle and I couldn’t be bothered to try and win it. When people leave, good people… they often take the morale high ground and all but no comment. Show he is a decent chap. He could have got loads of kudos for pilling on Jim Ryan…
