@guacguacboo I used to spend money on Nintendo more than anything, but own ps5 and xbox SX and spend plenty on both, I got a steamdeck and now spend 90% of my money there and zero on Nintendo, but my spending on PlayStation and xbox is right down. You might not see them as competitors but where people spend their gaming money is competition for Sony…. I still love all 4 and all have pros and cons. It’ll be sad to lose any gaming options

Firstly Xbox won’t be sunsetted. Secondly anyone rejoicing this is a fool. Some people are so invested in a fake console war it’s consumed them. Xbox is a great brand and brings joy to millions and employs lots of people too. Why would anyone want it to fail. Coz you believe your fave plastic box is in a war with it? Have a day off you plonker!

@Nepp67 some people have one set of rules of one and another set of rules for another. Usually those that protest most about this sort of thing are a walking danger.

These licencing deals are so annoying

All of the Forza Horizons have been amazing. I’ve played 5 for over 200 hours. They’ve evolved the series nicely and not tried to reinvent the wheel but added enough to freshen things up. Always not understood those that expect a driving game to be completely different. lol. How?

@Matthewnh coz they are Litterally open world. They’ve said they want to focus on open world. They kinda have a formula for those and seem to struggle doing anything else. Not saying their open world are perfect/ just saying what they said.

I hope that’s true as rumours of a 1 or 5 remake made no sense at all especially when this hasn’t been remade. The others already had decent control schemes and 1 and 0 already had graphic overhauls and 5 didn’t need it. I’d rather have a new chronicles or whatever that spin off was called. But Veronica is very very much due a remake

@naruball I’m a proper lefty and there is zero to be offended about here. There have always been drama and books about real diseases, real abuse and horrible events. They won’t be for everyone but it takes a certain type to get offended about it.

@RoomWithaMoose exactly we should be more offended by 10 dollar cosmetic packs than ai stickers…… just saying. An artist spending two days on these stickers is an expensive waste of their talent and effort and ridiculously over priced for what it is. No matter what else it comes bundled with.

@Metonymy exactly. People just don’t understand how video games are made. They don’t understand. all video games will now feature Ai. Authors, Programmers, accountants, doctors, the list goes on, will use Ai - heavily, like they used to use Google. It’s a tool. Faux rage at Ai is ridiculous. The fact some will use it to sack staff and behave terribly is a different conversation.

People will argue it’s “not art” if it’s Ai and again it depends on how it’s used.

How people are chasing wealth and quick wealth through Ai is a bubble that will burst but Ai is here to stay. Boycotts or not

It doesn’t matter if people like Ai or not at this point. All games will be using Ai in some part from now on. Most businesses use Ai now. Whilst I’m no fan of Ai and the speed and carelessness it’s being used the horse has bolted and to have faux rage over a sticker - means you don’t really understand where it will be being used elsewhere.

If you want to make a stand against Ai safer to buy no games from this point on.

@Frmknst AI will have a bigger impact on life than cinema or TV did. It will touch every profession and every aspect of life.

Cinema was gonna kill the theatre and cost people jobs and theatres still exist. TV was gonna kill both. Video games were said to be book killers. Books still sell. Ai is here now and nothing will stop it. Other industries and jobs will survive but like DLC and FTP games some will exploit it and ruin it. People are often rubbish.

@tselliot they had 97% positive feedback. This is nothing to do with “protecting the brand” that’s legal and corporate nonsense. This is protecting our profits. It’s understandable companies want to do it. Just consumers shouldn’t be so quick to side with large corporations. They are not your friend.

I loved the CTR remake except the crazy level of grind and horrible Mechanics for MTX. It made the whole thing almost unplayable

First a London setting absolutely works. Have they not played the getaway and secondly the comments about London having fallen or other nonsense prove the social media bubbles live in. Less made up legends and fortnite style elements and more retro unlockables and NBA jam style stuff and we could be on a winner but I suspect it’ll feel like a mobile game and be a horrible mess of a cash grab for everything being a huge grind.

It’ll have the likes of Rodman, Magic, Bird etc but you’ll never get close to unlocking them unless you pay loads would be my bet

Xbox decided to put all their chips in chasing the people’s subscription money, people don’t have infinite money for monthly fees and Xbox want 30 current and that will only go up, they put themselves against Netflix, Amazon etc, as they don’t have any revenue from day one exclusives now, Sony kept that money and revenue and made a monthly subscription too. Is it “as good” as Xbox GPU - No…. But who cares, Sony didn’t blink. Xbox now have to launch games on PlayStation to get day one revenue. They’ve said their next console will be expensive and they’ll not care that only Xbox heads will chase it. I’m sure it’ll become a “luxury” gadget influencer types push and don’t use.

They claim things that aren’t an Xbox are an Xbox.

I love my Xbox and I’ve own every gen of Xbox and at the time they were out. Xbox OG was a beast and “only on Xbox” yellow label had awesome games and choices.

We’ve come along way since then.

0 already has the modern controls (at least it doesn’t have the Tank controls) it has its issues but it’s a good game, playable, Veronica is not half as playable. They should do that first 100%

I’ve watched the video and having played on the steam deck - there is no way the performance or upgrades justify the price at all. As a handheld version of a current gen game the steam deck price is almost unbelievable. The Xbox price is not so much.

A good mix of characters, because of the setting I knew I wouldn’t get Punisher but glad we got silver surfer, Rather have Marvel beat em up with Punisher, Blade, Iron Fist, Iceman loads of great characters you can have to be honest hopefully we get DLC for this one.

Only people that don’t understand gaming thinks everyone wants to play mobile games and curated lists on a Netflix style app.

It’s failing to understand what gaming is and how deep and wide gaming is. Niche games sell by the bucket loads to people that don’t want Fortnite and that style game. Everyone thinks you’re failing in the gaming market if you don’t make Fortnite money. Sony are doing fine

Excellent news - progress. As long as - it comes with a battery as standard unlike the Xbox that charges for plug and play kits. Will mean prices of controllers won’t get out of hand like ps3 ones have.

Genuinely, saying “you want to compete with Hogwarts Legacy” is a ridiculous statement unless it was from the same publisher and studio. It’s one of the most successful games of all time. It’s like an open world game claiming it’ll compete with GTA. Unless it’s near completion and people have played it and said “wow this is as good as Hogwarts” it’s stupid. Also LOTR whilst a massive massive name and franchise doesn’t have the same mass draw HP does. Even Star Wars games (very good ones) didn’t sell like HP did. It was an excellent game with a widespread appeal from the IP.

A underrated series and would love to see more. Open world from the start inbetween the missions more like 2/3 would be my preference. But as long as open world is there to explore all good.

LRG continue to push the boundaries of the smallest amount of content they can give you for the largest amount of money. 😂

@RagnarLothbrok yeah. The get delisted quickly but they keeper servers up years and even when they go the game still works.

Honestly I can’t keep up with faux misplaced anger. The influencer culture was always gonna make itself implode and the end is near. It’s an unregulated mess that companies exploit and the influencers have no morales

69% of the people say 7 out of 10 or higher. It’s clearly very good.

If you exclude Star Wars… and a few other anomalies…like Aliens and DC/Marvel…. the good licensed games were dead but Harry Potter, Robocop, Terminator have roared back in recent times and a Jurassic park is most welcome… hopefully more cool universes get good games.

Xbox only crew don’t buy games. I buy Xbox games on the regular but I don’t have gamepass.
